378: Chapter 378 I Will Find It

Qin Lin reached out and took her hand.

"Do you not like her?"

Su Han thought for a moment.

"I don't like her, but I don't hate her either."

"Then you can spend more time together in the future."

Su Han looked at him.

"Why?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

"Because she is a passenger on The Ark, and you are a passenger on The Ark; you will have to get along sooner or later."

Su Han was silent for a while, then said, "Then you need to come see me more often."

Qin Lin nodded.

"Okay."

Su Han leaned against his shoulder.

Qin Lin reached out and put his arm around her shoulders.

"Qin Lin."

"Hmm."

"You didn't come to see me today. I waited for you all afternoon."

Qin Lin looked down at her.

"I'm sorry. I was busy with Li Ruyan's affairs today."

Su Han looked up at him.

"Even if you're busy in the future, you must still come to see me."

Qin Lin looked at her; she rarely asked for anything proactively.

This time she had spoken up, and there was a light in her eyes—not cold, but expectant.

Qin Lin nodded.

"Okay."

The corners of Su Han's mouth lifted slightly, and she pressed her face back against his shoulder.

The next day, Qin Lin went to find Murong Wan.

Murong Wan was sitting by the window reading a book, and Qin Lin walked over and sat down beside her.

"Auntie Wan."

"Hmm."

"Su Han came to find me proactively yesterday."

Murong Wan put down her book and looked at him.

"What did she say?"

"She said that even if I'm busy in the future, I must still go see her."

Murong Wan smiled.

"She has become dependent on you. Before, she was alone, but now she has you, and she doesn't want to go back to how things were."

Qin Lin nodded.

"I know."

Murong Wan was silent for a moment.

"Qin Lin, let me tell you about my past."

Qin Lin looked at her.

"Okay."

Murong Wan looked at the starry sky outside the window.

"After the Murong Family fell, I took Xu Xue and Qingshu and fled from the Central Region to the South alone. Along the way, we encountered pursuits, Yao Beasts, and rift storms. There were many times when I thought I wouldn't make it, but Xu Xue and Qingshu were still there, so I couldn't die."

Qin Lin listened without speaking.

"Back then, I didn't dare to sleep at night, afraid that if I fell asleep, I wouldn't wake up. Later, after boarding The Ark, I finally dared to sleep because it was safe here and I didn't have to run for my life anymore."

Qin Lin squeezed her hand. "Auntie Wan, you don't have to be alone anymore. You have The Ark, you have Xu Xue, and you have me."

Murong Wan looked at him, her eyes turning red.

Qin Lin reached out and pulled her into his embrace. Murong Wan leaned against his chest, tears streaming down silently.

"Qin Lin."

"Hmm."

"Thank you."

Qin Lin lowered his head and kissed her forehead. "You're welcome."

The two held each other as the starry sky outside the window slowly rotated.

...

The Ark continued to cruise through the interior of the Central Region.

Li Ruyan had been living on The Ark for some time and had already adapted to life here.

She chatted with everyone in the living room every day, went to the Medical Room to help Han Qing, went to the Flower Garden to help Li Ran, and went to the Ecological Plantation to help Xu Xue.

She was satisfied with everything on The Ark, except for one person—Su Han.

Li Ruyan felt that Su Han was too difficult to approach.

She greeted Su Han every day, and Su Han would at most nod in response.

"Qin Lin, why doesn't Su Han like me?"

Qin Lin was in the Bridge looking at a star map, and when he heard this, he turned his head to look at her.

"She doesn't dislike you; she's just not familiar with you."

Li Ruyan sat down on the chair beside him.

"Then how are you so familiar with her?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

"Because I spent time with her. I went to see her every day, brought tea, and chatted. At first, she didn't say anything, but later she gradually started to. You need patience."

Li Ruyan thought for a moment.

"Then I will spend time getting along with her too."

Qin Lin looked at her.

"Aren't you afraid she won't pay attention to you?"

Li Ruyan laughed.

"What is there to fear? She doesn't eat people."

She stood up.

"I'm off."

She left.

Qin Lin watched her back as she walked away, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

Li Ruyan began to go find Su Han every day.

In the morning, she would knock on Su Han's door, carrying a cup of tea.

"Su Han, want some tea? I just brewed it." Su Han looked at Li Ruyan outside the door, was silent for a moment, and then took the tea.

"Thanks." Then she closed the door.

Li Ruyan didn't mind and continued the next day.

In the afternoon, Li Ruyan met Su Han in the hallway and said, "Your clothes look nice today."

Su Han looked down at her own gray loungewear, then looked at Li Ruyan.

Li Ruyan was wearing a red dress, the hem fluttering like a ball of fire.

"You're the one who looks nice," Su Han said.

Li Ruyan laughed.

"You complimented me! This is the first time you've complimented me!"

In the evening, Li Ruyan went to the living room for dinner and sat across from Su Han.

Su Han looked up at her, said nothing, but didn't leave either.

Li Ruyan picked up some food with her chopsticks and put it in Su Han's bowl. "This is delicious, try it."

Su Han looked at the food in her bowl, was silent for a moment, then picked it up and ate it.

Li Ruyan asked her, "Is it good?"

Su Han said, "It's okay."

Li Ruyan laughed.

"It's okay means it's good. What do you want to eat tomorrow? I'll make it for you."

Su Han put down her chopsticks and looked at her.

"Why are you being so nice to me?"

Li Ruyan thought for a moment.

"Because you are a person on The Ark, and we are family."

Su Han looked at her, and the corners of her mouth moved slightly.

Li Ruyan saw it, clapped her hands, and said, "You smiled again!"

Su Han lowered her head and continued eating.

Li Ruyan looked at her and felt that Su Han wasn't as cold as before; she just needed someone to get close to her.

Qin Lin saw the change between Li Ruyan and Su Han.

One afternoon, while he was in the Bridge, Li Ruyan walked in and sat down beside him.

"Qin Lin, Su Han said three sentences to me today."

Qin Lin looked at her.

"Three sentences?"

Li Ruyan nodded.

Qin Lin smiled.

"She's becoming nicer to you."

Li Ruyan nodded.

"Maybe my enthusiasm warmed her up."

Qin Lin looked at her.

"You are quite confident."

Li Ruyan blinked.

"How else could I have survived if I wasn't confident?"

Qin Lin looked into her eyes; there was light in them.

Not the cold light like Su Han's, but firelight—warm and flickering.

"Li Ruyan."

"Hmm."

"You can also find a man on The Ark in the future."

Li Ruyan was stunned for a moment, then laughed.

"Are there any other men on The Ark besides you?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

"No."

Li Ruyan looked at him.

"Then aren't you just telling me to find you?"

Qin Lin did not answer.

Li Ruyan didn't mind either; she stood up and left.

She walked to the door and stopped, without turning back.

"Don't worry, I will find one, and I'll find a good one."

She left.

Qin Lin sat in the Bridge, watching her back disappear around the corner of the hallway.

He felt that Li Ruyan was different from Su Han; Su Han had slowly approached him, while Li Ruyan had jumped right over.

In the evening, Qin Lin went to Murong Wan's room.

Murong Wan was wearing that dark blue nightgown, her hair let down, leaning against the headboard.

Qin Lin walked over and sat down beside her, telling her what Li Ruyan had said.

Murong Wan was silent for a moment after listening.
