100: Chapter 100 Candle Cultivator, You Can't!

Chapter 10: Zhu Xiu, You Cannot!

Xin Feng did not immediately speak, looking at Shi Hua behind her.

Shi Hua quickly sensed the problem and immediately stood up, "I... I have to go home. Sister, I'll accompany you and the Cubs to sunbathe next time."

Bai Wanwan had Zhu Xiu's situation weighing on her mind, so she didn't press her to stay. She nodded, "Okay, I'll come find you when I'm free."

Shi Hua dared not look at Xin Feng again and quickly walked past them.

Once Shi Hua left, Bai Wanwan tugged at Xin Feng's sleeve, "Don't scare me. What exactly is going on?"

"It's not to scare you, but Zhu Xiu's condition is uncertain, and I can't casually tell other Beastmen."

"I understand. Please continue."

"Zhu Xiu has lost control. He doesn't recognize me, and I can't get close to him either."

"Lost control?"

Bai Wanwan recalled that there had been a similar incident before, where his body temperature was extremely high.

"Take me to see him."

"We can't go. He's extremely dangerous now that he's lost control."

Bai Wanwan was worried. After all, she had the System. If anything happened to Zhu Xiu, she could use the System's points to help him.

"I won't feel at ease until I see him. Just take me there..."

Xin Feng frowned. He didn't want to take Wan Wan into danger, but her soft pleading made it impossible for him to refuse her heartlessly.

Bai Wanwan didn't know what he was thinking. Seeing his stern face and lack of response, she assumed he disagreed.

Bai Wanwan quickly shook his sleeve again, "I'll just look from afar, really! If it's truly dangerous, you must take me away immediately, okay?"

She wanted to help Zhu Xiu, but there was no need to sacrifice her own life.

So, she would definitely act within her capabilities.

In the end, Xin Feng still couldn't bring himself to refuse her.

"I'll take you over for one look. If the situation isn't right, we'll leave immediately. Don't worry too much; his Innate Ability is powerful. He didn't mutate even in Wandering Beast City, so he won't be harmed."

After giving the instructions, Xin Feng placed the few Cubs into a Basket, transformed into his Beast Form, and carried the Female on his back.

He spread his limbs and ran toward the forest outside the Tribe...

The weather had clearly warmed up significantly, and the sunlight felt warm on her back.

Bai Wanwan hugged Xin Feng's neck tightly as giant leaves brushed past them...

After running for a very long time, Bai Wanwan noticed Xin Feng's speed slowing down.

She immediately looked up and asked him, "Are we there yet?"

The Silver Wolf's head turned, and he said in a low voice, "Almost there. Keep your voice down so we don't startle him."

"Okay."

Bai Wanwan sat up straighter and peered ahead.

A loud "whooshing" sound came from ahead, with a very large commotion.

The Silver Wolf darted out of the jungle, and Bai Wanwan pushed aside the last giant leaf blocking her view.

Before her was a splashing Waterfall, the sound of rushing water incessant.

She tugged at the fur around the Silver Wolf's neck, "Where is Zhu Xiu?"

"Look down."

Bai Wanwan leaned slightly and peered down.

Coiled at the bottom of the pool beneath the Waterfall was a massive Beast Body—it was Zhu Xiu in his transformed King Cobra Beast Form.

His eyelids were closed, and it was unclear if he was dozing or doing something else; he lay motionless in the pool.

A layer of black mist floated around his body.

At a glance, it gave people a very oppressive and uncomfortable feeling.

"What are those things on his body?"

Xin Feng shook his head honestly, "I'm not sure."

The two of them had clearly lowered their voices to the minimum, yet the giant impact sound of the Waterfall was still nearby.

The King Cobra below suddenly opened its eyes and looked up at them.

Bai Wanwan saw that the familiar eyes were completely black.

Her heart skipped a beat.

"This is bad!"

Xin Feng spoke, turning and leaping away.

Just as they left their original spot, Zhu Xiu charged up towards them, his long tail slamming down where they had just been standing.

Xin Feng knew Zhu Xiu's combat power after losing control. He didn't dare to linger, fearing that one mistake could cause harm to Wan Wan.

The two extremely powerful Mutated Beasts left streaks of afterimages in the jungle.

Bai Wanwan was almost thrown off and tried hard to look back at Zhu Xiu.

She realized Zhu Xiu was getting closer and closer to them. If this continued, he would eventually catch up.

"Zhu Xiu... can you still hear my voice?"

She tried to communicate with Zhu Xiu, but there was no emotional feedback from the eyes that seemed to be painted black with ink.

"Zhu Xiu, you cannot hurt us. We are your family. Have you forgotten?"

Regardless of whether Zhu Xiu could hear, Bai Wanwan insisted on speaking continuously.

"Zhu Xiu, you can hear me, right? Have you forgotten that you are my Beast Husband? I haven't even given birth to a litter of Cubs for you yet."

Xin Feng, who was carrying her, suddenly leaped onto a tree branch. Zhu Xiu's massive head rapidly approached, spitting out a scarlet snake tongue.

Once the distance was closed, Xin Feng, who was carrying her, was locked onto by Zhu Xiu.

His long tail whipped over, and Bai Wanwan's heart leaped into her throat.

Xin Feng dodged left and right, resisting with his Innate Ability, always careful not to injure the other party. But Zhu Xiu had no reason at all; every strike was fierce and ruthless, as if he wanted to crush Xin Feng to death in one blow.

Seeing the situation was dire, Bai Wanwan immediately called out to the System, "peanut, quickly check Zhu Xiu's condition. Are my points enough to save him?"

"He cannot be saved. He has been afflicted by a curse. Host's points are far from enough."

The points she had finally managed to accumulate were insufficient whenever they were needed.

Bai Wanwan was frustrated, "Then can you give me some constructive advice? If this continues, my two Beast Husbands will kill each other. What Cubs will I have then?"

She was desperate and could only target the System's weakness.

This System was impervious to persuasion, and it wouldn't grant credit for points. The only way to control it was by threatening to not have Cubs.

As expected, the System immediately emitted a sound, "He absorbed an energy stone, so the curse's power was partially alleviated, and he still retains some rationality. As long as you can awaken him, he will stop harming you and your other Beast Husband."

"Then tell me quickly, how do I awaken him?"

"That relies on the Host's own efforts. I don't know either."

Wasn't that pointless to say?

In the time it took her to exchange a few words with the System, Xin Feng had already been swept away by one of Zhu Xiu's tail strikes.

Bai Wanwan, caught completely off guard, fell directly off Xin Feng's back.

She landed face-first with a solid thud.

The intense pain made her grimace, spitting out the grass roots in her mouth.

What terrible deed had she committed to deserve such suffering?

If she hadn't happened to fall onto the thick grass, that impact probably would have broken her waist.

She struggled to get up from the ground. Before she could even turn to look at the two Beast Husbands, she heard Xin Feng's panicked and flustered voice from behind.

"Zhu Xiu, stop! That is our Consort, you cannot harm her."

Bai Wanwan's heart lurched, and the hairs on her spine stood on end.

Then, slowly, slowly, she turned her head to look behind her.

As soon as she turned, she saw a giant Beast Head. His pitch-black eyes radiated a strange aura.

"Zhu Xiu, you cannot!"

Zhu Xiu, however, ignored her, staring at the Female before him, opening his massive Beast mouth...
