Chapter 33: Sacred Female Feng Xi

On the mountain path where a continuous drizzle fell, an ornate beast-drawn carriage rumbled over the stones before finally coming to a gradual stop at the entrance to the White Tiger Tribe.

The beastmen coming and going at the White Tiger Tribe's entrance all halted, their gazes fixed on the several imposing and exceptionally handsome Males standing beside the carriage.

"They don't look like beastmen from our Tribe."

As they spoke, the curtain made of merman silk was lifted by a pair of beautiful hands, revealing a lively and lovely face.

"What other reason could there be? Holy Female Red Feather's Male offspring have all come of age. Sacred Female Feng Xi must have come for them."

Listening to the beastmen's chatter, Feng Xi smiled as she looked at the White Tiger Tribe built against the mountain. This was also a Super Tribe, covering a vast expanse of land.

This was the first time she had traveled so far from home since her Pairing Ceremony.

But at the thought of who she was about to meet, a blush spread across Feng Xi's face, and her heartbeat involuntarily quickened.

Her First Beast Husband, Cang Yan, extended an arm, steadying her as she leaned out and nearly tumbled from the carriage.

He had always known that Feng Xi had liked a Male from the White Tiger Tribe since childhood. After that Male disappeared, Feng Xi had been sad for a long time.

Cang Yan held a feathered umbrella, sheltering Feng Xi from the rain.

From within the White Tiger Tribe's gate, a line of Males clad in white beast skins filed out. Among them, a beautiful Female was walking briskly forward.

Her silver-white hair was adorned with tiger-stripe ornaments, and her amber eyes sparkled brilliantly in the sunlight. Even at her age, she still possessed a captivating charm.

Chi Yu hurried forward, her white fur cloak dragging a faint, damp trail on the ground.

Feng Xi's face lit up with joy as she ran a few steps to meet her.

"Aunt Yu!"

She opened her arms and embraced Chi Yu tightly.

The scent of snowy mountain pinewood emanating from Chi Yu reminded Feng Xi of the winters she had spent in the White Tiger Tribe as a child.

Chi Yu's face was full of warmth as she looked at Little Phoenix, her eyes gentle.

She cupped Feng Xi's face in her hands, examining it carefully. "Last time I saw you, you were still a Little Phoenix with downy feathers. Now you've grown into a graceful Sacred Female."

Her fingertips lightly brushed the flame pattern on Feng Xi's forehead. "This pattern suits you perfectly, making our Xi Xi so beautiful that even Aunt Yu can't look away."

Feng Xi's cheeks flushed slightly. "Aunt Yu, you always know how to flatter me. In my eyes, Aunt Yu is the most beautiful Female on the entire continent."

Chi Yu dotingly tapped Feng Xi's cheek. "You and your sweet words."

As she spoke, she looked up and noticed the several Males behind Feng Xi.

"And these are?"

Feng Xi's smile stiffened for a moment, but she couldn't hide the truth. She had to be honest. "Aunt Yu, these are the Beast Husbands my Father Beast and Mother found for me. This is Cang Yan, my First Beast Husband. This is..."

Feng Xi proceeded to introduce each of her Beast Husbands to Chi Yu in turn.

Chi Yu's expression, however, turned somewhat rigid.

She was fond of Feng Xi. When Feng Xi was little, she had even discussed with Feng Xi's Father Beast and Mother that if Xi Xi liked any of her Male offspring, she would let him become Feng Xi's First Beast Husband.

But now, Feng Xi already had a First Beast Husband.

Chi Yu forced a smile.

Feng Xi noticed that her expression seemed less joyful than before and grew anxious.

"Aunt Yu, at that time, Qiu Rong was missing. My Father Beast and Mother didn't know... so..."

Her voice trailed off, her fingers twisting the hem of her clothes like a child who had done something wrong.

"Aunt Yu, Qiu Rong is the one I like most. I can promise you, once I have the Pairing Ceremony with him, I will cherish him forever."

As she spoke, she lifted her head, her fiery red eyes sparkling as she scanned the crowd of beastmen.

Feng Xi didn't miss a single Male they passed, her mind restless.

"Xi Xi, what are you looking at?"

Feng Xi blushed. "Aunt Yu, it's been so long since I've seen Qiu Rong. Has he... changed? I'm afraid I might not recognize him later."

Mentioning her Male offspring, Chi Yu's face filled with pride.

Qiu Rong had inherited all the best qualities of her most beloved Beast Husband, and his appearance was exceptionally outstanding.
