167: Chapter 167 The Candle Cultivator's Warning
Knowing full well that the Male was trying to deceive her, she still dared to follow him.
He was even a little curious about what she would say next.
"Young Clan Leader, our transaction..."
The Bear Beastman opposite Jin Yi noticed he seemed distracted and couldn't help but call out.
Jin Yi finally turned back. His handsome face showed little expression, giving off an air of noble aloofness.
"Where is the stone? I need to confirm if it is an energy stone."
The Bear Beastman quickly agreed, "It's on me. I'll show it to you right now."
Saying that, he reached into the beast skin he carried and pulled out a pitch-black stone, carefully holding it out to Jin Yi.
"Young Clan Leader, I heard this kind of stone can enhance a Male's Innate Ability. It is extremely precious."
A faint smile curved Jin Yi's lips, seeming mocking. "If it could enhance Innate Ability, why didn't you use it yourself instead of trading it with me?"
The Bear Beastman laughed awkwardly and finally told the whole story.
"This is because energy stones cannot be absorbed casually. But you are the Young Clan Leader of the Golden Lion Tribe; you surely have a way to absorb it. Giving the energy stone to you, and me receiving a large amount of supplies in return, benefits us both."
Jin Yi locked his pale gold eyes onto the black stone in his hand and instructed the Male beside him, "Go check it."
The Male was older, his face already lined with wrinkles.
He walked over to the Bear Beastman, took the energy stone from him, and examined it closely.
After carefully inspecting it for a long time, he finally confirmed, "Young Clan Leader, this is indeed the same as the energy stones I have seen before. It should be correct."
The Bear Beastman was overjoyed upon hearing that the energy stone was real. "I told you, it couldn't be fake! Now that the energy stone is yours, what about the things you promised me?"
Jin Yi ordered his subordinates to take the energy stone and instructed the other Males beside him.
"Give him the supplies he requested."
Boxes upon boxes of supplies were delivered to the Bear Beastman, making him extremely happy.
"If I have another energy stone next time, I will definitely come to you, Young Clan Leader, for an exchange."
After concluding the transaction, Jin Yi thought of the Female from earlier. He clasped his hands behind his back and slowly turned around.
Only then did he notice that several Males with outstanding looks and extremely powerful auras had gathered around the Little Female.
He was somewhat surprised.
The aura released by Males with high-level Talents is different from that of ordinary Males.
He could tell at a glance that those Males all possessed extraordinary Innate Abilities.
Yan Lie was furious, stomping the Male who tried to trick Bai Wanwan and Shi Hua into leaving into the ground.
"How dare you try to cheat away my Female!"
His usually bright and sunny face was now overcast with dark clouds.
Even Bai Wanwan was seeing this side of Yan Lie for the first time. Only then did she realize he was a Male with a high-level Talent.
Normally, she was deceived by his face and thought he had no aggression at all.
The Male struggled in resistance but found the force pressing down on him was like a huge mountain; he couldn't move at all.
"I was wrong, I was wrong... I only did it because I needed to take care of a sick Female. I didn't mean to trick you. Please spare me."
Even now, he was still trying to use the method of coaxing Females to gain their sympathy.
Even Xin Feng couldn't help but question coldly, "Spare you? So you can go trick more Females?"
"Kill him!" Zhu Xiu said concisely.
"I'll do it!"
Mu Feng rushed over and directly yanked the Male Beastman up from under Yan Lie's feet.
The Male Beastman's already ugly face was covered in wounds. His teeth were missing, and his mouth was beaten into a permanent, gaping grimace.
Yan Lie moved his leg away following Mu Feng's pull. He had already beaten the man for a while, so now it was Mu Feng's turn to vent his anger, and he didn't interfere further.
Mu Feng punched the Male Beastman, sending him flying, and chased after him, preparing to continue.
But the Male Beastman transformed into a wild boar mid-air and turned to flee.
"Trying to run?"
Mu Feng also transformed into a Black Dog and quickly pursued, sinking his teeth into the back of the boar's neck.
In terms of their clans, the Black Dog Tribe was actually no match for wild boars.
However, Mu Feng was one of the top Green Tier Talents in the Black Dog Tribe.
He refused to let the Boar Beastman off easily and slowly tortured him to death.
After mauling it until it was unrecognizable, he finally bit through the wild boar's windpipe.
The wild boar lay on the ground twitching, struggling to get up, but eventually, its movements slowly ceased.
Shi Hua was terrified and dared not look, turning her head to the side.
Bai Wanwan, however, watched the entire process as if nothing had happened.
Bai Wanwan smoothly patted Shi Hua's hand that was gripping hers. "You see, the world outside the Tribe is cruel."
Shi Hua's little face turned pale, and she nodded repeatedly.
Seeing her look like a pitiful little thing, Bai Wanwan felt a pang of pity.
But if she didn't teach her a lesson today, if she were truly tricked next time, it wouldn't just be a scare.
So, she continued to intensify the lesson. "If this Male had successfully tricked you today, you would never see Mu Feng again. Furthermore, some old, ugly, and crippled Males would force you to be their Beast Husband, and if you resisted, you would be beaten..."
With every sentence she spoke, Shi Hua's face grew paler.
Bai Wanwan felt she had left a deep enough impression and began to conclude. "Next time you meet a Male asking you to leave alone... No, even Females must be careful. If anything happens, try to do it in front of everyone, or in a place you are familiar with. In short, you need to learn to be more vigilant."
Shi Hua had already realized the cruelty of the outside world. "Sister Wanwan, I remember. I will be careful from now on."
"Let's go, we'll continue browsing the Market..."
None of them looked again at the lifeless wild boar on the ground.
Shi Hua was startled and actually didn't feel like wandering outside anymore. She couldn't help but ask her Beast Husband.
"Mu Feng, how much further is it to the Golden Lion Tribe from here?"
"If I carry you, it will take two or three days. If you walk by yourself, it might take five or six days."
Bai Wanwan observed her expression. "Are you uncomfortable? Do you want to get to the Golden Lion Tribe faster?"
Fearing they might misunderstand, Shi Hua immediately shook her head. "I'm not uncomfortable. I just feel the outside is too dangerous, so I wanted to ask how far it is."
The outside world was truly terrifying; a living Male could lose his life in the blink of an eye.
Although the Male brought it upon himself, she still felt the Tribe was much safer.
Jin Yi overheard their conversation and learned that their destination was the Golden Lion Tribe, a hint of surprise coloring his handsome features.
He turned and ordered the Male beside him, "Hu Lu, those few Males are exceptionally strong. Their purpose in going to the Golden Lion Tribe is unclear. When we return, you must keep a close watch on them."
"Yes, Young Clan Leader," Hu Lu immediately responded.
After giving the order, Jin Yi was about to lead his group away when suddenly, the Male beside that Female seemed to sense something and abruptly looked up, staring directly in his direction.
Their gazes met across the air. Even from a great distance, Jin Yi could feel the chilling and sharp warning in the other's eyes, like a drawn blade aimed directly at him.
However, Jin Yi did not retreat. Instead, the corner of his mouth curved up into a faint, calm smile, composed and unhurried.
