Qiu Rong's gaze lingered on the Merfolk on the Stone Bed for a moment before turning to Bai Wanwan. "I heard you've been going to Beast Pet Street often lately?"

Bai Wanwan nodded gently. "Mhm, just going out for a stroll."

"Was it not him who took you?" Qiu Rong glanced pointedly at the unconscious Merfolk.

After a brief thought, Bai Wanwan shook her head in denial.

"Since you want to see other Merfolk, I will bring them tomorrow." As soon as Qiu Rong finished speaking, no one noticed the unconscious Merfolk's closed eyelashes tremble slightly.

As night fell, Zhu Xiu returned under the moonlight. Before he could even sit down, he was stopped by Qiu Rong. "Come with me for a moment."

In the dead of night, only Bai Wanwan slept peacefully.

Though the Beast Husbands pretended not to care, they were all secretly on guard.

In the morning light, Bai Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief after checking the Merfolk's injuries.
