425: Chapter 425 It's you!

Chapter 425: It's You!

Hua Han tried hard to get close, but he was pushed away time and time again.

He was persistent, always looking for an opportunity to get close to Bai Wanwan from not far away.

Just then, a Male walked up to Qiu Rong and whispered a few words to him. The relaxed expression on Qiu Rong's face tightened.

"Are you sure? The Wane Clan is still far from us; they are neither on good nor bad terms with our Tribe."

Qiu Rong's gaze fell on the face of the Male in front of him.

The other party replied with great certainty: "Our people just discovered them, and we aren't sure what their purpose is for approaching the Tiger Clan. Please give the order, Chief—do we need to block them?"

"I'll go take a look..."

Zhu Xiu spoke up to stop him. "I'll go! You stay here to guard the Tribe."

With Wan Wan's powerful Beast Husband there, he could indeed help a lot.

"Alright, then I'll trouble you to go for me and investigate the purpose of those Bay Crocodiles' approach."

Yin Ze hesitated for a moment and said to Zhu Xiu, "I'll go with you. Bay Crocodiles are not easy to deal with. If there's danger, I can fly you away."

Xin Feng stood to the side and nodded in agreement. "Good, with Yin Ze accompanying you, you can look out for each other. Wan Wan will also feel more at ease."

After the decision was made, Zhu Xiu and Yin Ze quietly left the Tiger Clan Tribe amidst the lively atmosphere.

All the Beast Husbands, seeing Bai Wanwan and Sister Yin Mei having so much fun, did not intend to tell her about the suspicious incident happening outside the Tribe, letting her enjoy herself happily.

After all, such lively days didn't happen often.

Bai Wanwan was always surrounded by familiar Tiger Clan beastmen faces; they were laughing and dancing...

But at some point, the distance between her and her Beast Husbands on the high platform, who were constantly watching her, unknowingly grew wider.

She intentionally tried to move back, but was always "unintentionally" blocked by enthusiastic dancers.

Once or twice might have been an accident, but after many times, Bai Wanwan felt something was wrong.

She shouted toward Xin Feng in the distance, but her figure was blocked by a tall Male again.

Beside her, Sister Yin Mei was still completely unaware and handed her a piece of roasted beast meat. "Wan Wan, this meat is roasted quite well. You'll like it."

She was in no mood to eat meat. She grabbed Sister Yin Mei's hand and whispered, "Sister Yin Mei, don't you feel something is wrong? We've been dancing and the people around us are moving, but the beastmen right next to us don't seem to have changed?"

Upon her mention, Sister Yin Mei looked around seriously for a while. "It seems so. Maybe they are curious about you, so they've been following you..."

Sister Yin Mei didn't think anything else of it.

This was the Tiger Clan Tribe, and it was the joyous day of the Chief's Pairing Ceremony.

Who would dare to cause trouble at a time like this?

Several Beast Husbands didn't like to join the crowd, and seeing Sister Yin Mei by Bai Wanwan's side, they only followed with their eyes.

Feeling that the distance was now too far, Xin Feng decided to approach and bring her back to his side.

Only by being close to them could he have a sense of security.

But just then, a loud bang came from the direction of the Tribe's main gate, followed by beastmen shouting: "This is bad! The Wane Clan has broken through our Tribe's gate!"

The Bay Crocodiles were the most brutal race among all beastmen.

They rarely interacted with other Tribes, and their way of doing things was not liked by others.

Therefore, bad rumors had always circulated throughout the Beast World continent.

The shouting caused the boisterous and joyful atmosphere to suddenly become panicked and chaotic.

Bai Wanwan and Sister Yin Mei were pushed around by the beastmen.

Gradually, the distance between Sister Yin Mei and her grew further and further.

A strong sense of unease seized her.

She wanted to cry out, but found her voice drowned out by the clamor of the crowd.

Right then, a large hand carrying a strange fragrance suddenly covered her mouth and nose from behind!

A strong, pungent smell instantly rushed into her nasal cavity. The dazzling firelight and dancing figures before her eyes suddenly spun, blurred, and darkened...

In her last moments of consciousness, she saw Qiu Rong in the distance seemingly sensing something and looking over with a shocked and angry gaze, and heard a short, intense sound of fighting break out beside her, muffled by the massive noise and drumming!

Immediately after, she felt herself being quickly stuffed into a rough, sweltering beast skin bag, and she completely lost consciousness.

******

"Swoosh... swoosh..."

Having just regained a bit of consciousness, Bai Wanwan clearly heard the sound of flowing water.

Bai Wanwan's consciousness felt like it was submerged at the bottom of cold water, struggling to float upward.

Her eyelids were as heavy as lead. She exhausted all her strength before finally opening her eyes, her vision gradually clearing from the blur.

The first thing that caught her eye was the uneven, grayish-black Cliff wall, covered in slippery moss.

She was leaning against the Cliff, with a thick layer of beast skin padded beneath her.

Not far away, a clear stream was gurgling, reflecting the faint light of either dawn or dusk.

Bonfire party... Shape Carving... beast skin bag!

Fragments of memory from before she fainted rushed back into her mind. She sat up in shock, not even noticing that the hem of her jiao sa skirt was stained with mud.

"You're awake?"

A deep and calm Male voice sounded from not far away.

Bai Wanwan snapped her head toward the sound.

A tall, handsome Male was walking slowly toward her.

He was wearing dark leather armor suitable for movement. His build was lean and powerful, and his face... looked somewhat familiar.

She furrowed her brows, quickly searching through her memory.

"It's you!"

It was that traveling merchant who had appeared before her several times.

As expected, he was no good!

The other party suddenly laughed. "Are you sure you recognize me?"

Why did this voice also sound somewhat familiar?

She couldn't help but recall carefully, and the Male, as if to help her find the memory, continued to speak: "Bai Wanwan, clearly I met you first, yet Male after Male keeps appearing by your side."

These words immediately turned Bai Wanwan's doubt into certainty.

"You are... Roger?"

Roger's gaze remained locked on her. That gaze was burning and focused, with a viscous quality that was almost greedy, firmly fixed on her as if he wanted to suck her whole being in, unwilling to look away for even a second.

He slowly stood up and walked toward her step by step, his footsteps sounding exceptionally clear in the silent Cave.

"Bai Wanwan," he spoke, his voice deep with a strange rhythm, "so you still remember my voice."

The corner of Roger's mouth curled into a twisted and satisfied arc. The gloom between his brows, condensed from long-term suppression and searching, finally relaxed a little.

But Bai Wanwan felt as if an icy current had instantly surged through her; a chill rushed from the soles of her feet straight to the top of her head!

She stared at Roger's face, which looked unfamiliar yet now revealed an eerie sense of familiarity.

"What exactly do you want to do?"

Roger didn't respond immediately but continued to approach, the shadow cast by his tall figure completely enveloping her.

"To bring you out, I exposed nearly a hundred transformed Tiger Clan Males," he said as he grabbed her wrist. Seeing those fresh Shape Carvings, a shadow of gloom appeared in his eyes.
