111: Chapter 111: Big Trouble

Mu Zhi protected her Cub and glared fiercely at Bai Wanwan.

Bai Wanwan was unhurried; they had to apologize today.

Who told her she had a backer?

After the last incident, it was practically impossible for her to maintain a friendly relationship with the Black Dog Tribe.

Mu Zhi’s eyes widened, but before she could react, Bai Wanwan added another line, "Speaking of which, if he doesn't apologize today, taking his life wouldn't be out of the question either."

"You... you dare!"

Mu Zhi’s face turned completely red. She immediately turned around and kicked her Beast Husband. "What are you all doing? They want my Cub's life, and you aren't coming over?"

Bai Wanwan glanced to the side and saw several thin Males walking out, looking timid and hesitant.

She snorted lightly. "Then just watch if I dare."

After saying that, she turned to Zhu Xiu. "Zhu Xiu, if they refuse to apologize later, give them a lesson. Don't hold back; killing or crippling them is fine."

Mu Zhi's few Beast Husbands walked forward and heard her words. They didn't dare look up at her and Zhu Xiu, nor did they dare say another word.

"Useless! Didn't you see my Cub and I being bullied? Are you just going to watch?"

Mu Zhi stopped arguing with Bai Wanwan and started scolding her Beast Husbands instead.

Bai Wanwan waited for a while, growing slightly impatient.

"Have you argued enough? If you're done arguing, it's time to apologize."

Mu Zhi ignored her and only kept complaining about her Beast Husbands.

Zhu Xiu remained silent and walked toward Mu Zhi's Beast Husbands.

He struck heavily; the few Males couldn't get up for a long time.

Mu Zhi screamed in fright, retreating while shielding her Cub.

As she retreated, Bai Wanwan advanced.

"Apologize or not? Little Cub, if you don't apologize, it will be your turn."

She had no such rule as not hitting children.

Naughty bear children deserved a beating.

She had overheard something outside; this matter had clearly brought huge trouble to the Tribe.

She was living here now; trouble for the Tribe meant trouble for them too.

Mu Zhi stroked her Cub's head, holding him protectively in her arms, and threatened with a stiff neck, "If you dare harm the Cub, I will immediately go to the Chief and have him expel you."

"It doesn't matter. Before that happens, you and your Cub will lose the chance to speak again because you won't have a mouth."

Bai Wanwan shrugged and flashed her a brilliant smile. "Do you understand? If you don't understand, I'll put it simply: apologize or die. You choose one."

Mu Zhi didn't believe she would actually dare to harm a Cub. In any Tribe, harming a Cub or a Female was a major crime.

Mu Zhi's Cub kept hiding behind his Mother, looking terrified at Zhu Xiu beside Bai Wanwan.

After Bai Wanwan finished speaking, Zhu Xiu swept a glance over them. Before he even did anything, the Cub was scared into a loud wail.

"I was wrong, don't hit me! I stole the egg, I ate the egg, it wasn't the Wolf Cub!"

The Beastmen of the Black Dog Tribe were all shocked.

Mu Zhi slapped him. "What nonsense are you spouting? Didn't you just say the Wolf Cub stole it?"

He wailed, "I was afraid of causing trouble, so I said the Wolf Cub stole it."

Bai Wanwan scoffed. "Are your ears working? Did you hear clearly? This matter has nothing to do with my Wolf Cub. The one who brought huge disaster to the Tribe is her Cub."

Many Beastmen hadn't reacted yet, but once they did, they started cursing Mu Zhi and her Cub without restraint.

Stealing the Eagle Beasts' egg caused trouble for the entire Tribe, and they even slandered an Outsider Beastman, almost implicating them.

Bai Wanwan couldn't be bothered to argue further. She reached out, linked arms with Zhu Xiu, and left.

"My Beast Husband is still the most capable; he is our strongest backer."

If it had been Shi Hua or another Female today, the truth probably wouldn't have come out.

Fortunately, her Beast Husband was formidable, allowing her to use borrowed prestige to intimidate those Beastmen and Mu Zhi's Cub.

Listening to her words, Zhu Xiu's mind was set on quickly removing the dark curse so he could protect her and The Cubs for a lifetime.

Bai Wanwan leaned closer to him and reached out to tease her little Wolf Cub.

Seeing his Mother approach, the Wolf Cub stopped lying around lazily. He bounced up from her arms and kept trying to get close to Bai Wanwan.

Several times Zhu Xiu forcibly pulled him back, but the Cub wouldn't give up, still striving to get closer to his Mother.

Bai Wanwan smiled and reached out. "Come here, Mama will hug you."

"He's gotten heavier recently from eating so much, maybe I should carry him..."

"It's fine, I'll hold him for a while. If I can't hold him anymore, I'll let you."

She leaned over directly and took the Wolf Cub from his arms.

Smelling his Mother's scent, the Wolf Cub nestled comfortably in her arms, eyes narrowed, enjoying her gentle stroking.

After walking toward their cave for a distance, she saw Xin Feng walking quickly toward them.

When he approached, he looked at Zhu Xiu. "Recovered?"

"Temporarily," Zhu Xiu did not hide it from him.

Xin Feng walked to Bai Wanwan's other side and continued to ask, "Then what are your plans?"

"This time I am bringing Wan Wan back. After that, I will go look for energy stones. I will return when my condition stabilizes."

"Go look for energy stones? Where are you going?"

Zhu Xiu himself wasn't sure.

She didn't want Zhu Xiu to go on an adventure alone, especially since she had a second path available.

Wan Wan is a Sacred Female. If she needs to leave the Tribe for the outside world, having only him as a Beast Husband to look after her is far from enough.

Bai Wanwan immediately followed his words. "Xin Feng is right. We are one family and must stay together. Zhu Xiu, I forbid you from leaving alone."

Zhu Xiu turned to look at her, his heart filled with reluctance as well.

If he hadn't been afflicted by the dark curse, he could stay by Wan Wan's side and accompany her wherever she wanted to go.

"What happened?"

Bai Wanwan immediately added fuel to the fire and recounted the entire incident.

After listening, Xin Feng pursed his lips. "The Eagle Beast's egg? The Black Dog Tribe has gotten into big trouble this time."
