250: Chapter 250 Soft and Sweet

Chapter 25: Fragrant and Soft

Walking into the room, the light instantly dimmed.

Bai Wanwan thought she was seeing things and blinked to adjust to the darkness.

When she opened her eyes again, a fair, soft, and utterly adorable little dumpling was still sitting in the corner of the wall.

It looked like a human toddler, perhaps one or two years old, and he was engrossedly gnawing on his own finger, making loud sucking noises.

The little dumpling was exceedingly beautiful, more delicate and cute than any infant she had ever seen, and it immediately sparked an unprecedented sense of closeness in her.

She already had a faint guess in her heart, but as she took a step forward, her path was blocked by another mischievous Wolf Cub.

It circled around Bai Wanwan's ankles, whimpering softly with "ao ao" sounds to get her attention, wanting her to play with it.

"Be good, Cubs, go play somewhere else for now."

In the dark corner on the other side, two little snakes were coiled up lazily glancing over. They seemed very displeased that the Wolf Cub was disturbing their rest, flicking their scarlet tongues and making threatening sounds.

Hiss hiss...

"Be good, both of you, don't be angry. Go play somewhere else first."

She placated the Wolf Cub at her feet, which looked a bit wronged, not understanding why its Mother wasn't playing with it.

It had no choice but to go find its other siblings, who shared the same Mother.

Bai Wanwan also gently patted the Snake Cubs in the shaded area.

As she stroked the two Snake Cubs, the hostility they had just emitted immediately dissipated. They squinted their eyes comfortably, enjoying the touch and raising their small heads contentedly.

After soothing several Cubs, Bai Wanwan finally turned back to look at that chubby, fair, and tender little one.

He had clearly noticed the commotion over there as well, constantly staring at her with those grape-like eyes.

Seeing her turn to look, he immediately grinned and called out to her in a garbled, milky voice, "Moth... er."

It really was her Cub!

Bai Wanwan felt that marvelous sensation she had when she first became a Mother. She quickly walked toward the transformed Cub.

"Mother!"

The little dumpling kept calling out indistinctly, opening his small, saliva-covered hands to pounce toward her.

Bai Wanwan quickly reached out and caught the milk dumpling, "Slow down, be careful not to fall on the ground."

"Giggle..."

The milk dumpling seemed to find pouncing like that very fun, emitting cheerful laughter from its mouth.

It wanted to do it again, so Bai Wanwan indulged him, opening her arms to catch him once more.

The little dumpling was endlessly delighted. After five attempts, Bai Wanwan finally mustered her strength and lifted him off the ground.

She resisted the urge to give the little dumpling's fair and tender cheek a fierce kiss.

Only then did she begin to examine his appearance carefully.

On his exquisitely carved little face, the shadow of Xin Feng could faintly be seen in his features, while the slightly upturned corners of his eyes resembled her own perfectly.

"More, more..."

The little dumpling giggled, rubbing his soft cheek against her neck, his small warm body pressed tightly against her.

"Let Mommy look at you properly."

Bai Wanwan gently pinched the dumpling's chubby little arm and tapped his small, upturned nose.

The little dumpling seemed to thoroughly enjoy the Female's touch. A few small milk teeth showed in his wide-open mouth.

"Mommy... Ma, ma."

"That's right, you can call me Mother in front of outsiders, but you can call me Mommy everywhere else."

"Mommy..."

The little dumpling's voice was both milky and adorable, making Bai Wanwan's heart melt.

It reached out and grabbed a strand of Bai Wanwan's hair, trying to stuff it into its mouth. Bai Wanwan quickly pulled it out, "Are you hungry?"

Shi Hua also walked in from the courtyard. Seeing the transformed Wolf Cub, she exclaimed happily, "Is this the Wolf Cub? He can transform already! Let Auntie Hua take a look quickly."

Shi Hua looked at him with immense fascination, touching and pinching him.

The Wolf Cub already recognized Shi Hua. When facing her, he just smiled and didn't reject her touch.

"Follow what Mommy says, Auntie. This is Auntie Shi Hua."

Initially, the Wolf Cub didn't react much, but after Bai Wanwan taught him twice, he managed to utter two similar sounds indistinctly.

Even so, this delighted Shi Hua, and she vied to hold the newly transformed Cub.

Just as they were having a delightful time, the sound of a heavy object landing came from the doorway.

Xin Feng was carrying in the freshly processed prey, beads of sweat still hanging on his forehead. When he saw the little dumpling in their hands, he was clearly stunned.

"The Cub transformed?"

Calculating the time, it could only be his Cub that had transformed.

Seeing Xin Feng return, Shi Hua immediately found an excuse and turned to go back to her own home to check on her Cubs.

Xin Feng didn't rush over. He first cleaned the bloodstains off his hands before quickly walking over.

The little dumpling was blinking his eyes while looking at the Male in front of him, then suddenly grinned and pounced toward him, "Father Beast, hold..."

Xin Feng was momentarily at a loss. He had only ever held his Cub in its Beast Form. Seeing the fragile appearance of the Cub after transforming, he worried he wouldn't know how to hold him and might hurt the little dumpling.

Bai Wanwan saw everything. She moved closer and said with a smile, "Look how much his eyes resemble yours."

Xin Feng's expression softened further, his gaze shifting from the little dumpling to her face, "He looks like you too, like both of us."

Xin Feng thought about how this was their shared Cub, and his heart felt as warm as if he were soaking in a hot spring.

Noticing a strand of her hair was slightly messy, he freed one hand, hooked that strand of hair, and tucked it behind her ear.

Their gazes met, and silent happiness flowed between them.

"Now that The Cubs can transform, we need to give them names."

Before, since none of The Cubs had transformed, Bai Wanwan's mentality was somewhat like raising pets.

Now that the Cub had taken human form, it reminded her that The Cubs would grow up, would mature into strong and robust Males, and he needed his own name.

"I guess they've been thinking about a few names lately as they prepared to transform. See if these work."

Bai Wanwan looked at him with a beaming smile, "You say them, and I'll listen."

Xin Feng gently stroked the soft hair on the Cub in his arms, "How about we call him Bai Xing?"

The little Cub had a gentle nature and was very cute, and his eyes were as bright as stars. Calling him Bai Xing seemed quite fitting.

"Good, let's call him Bai Xing."

After Bai Wanwan finished speaking, she reached out and stroked her Cub's round little cheek, "Cubs, you have a name now, it's Bai Xing. Do you like it?"

The Cub didn't know if he understood, but he just grinned.

Not long after, Yan Lie and Zhu Xiu, who had gone out hunting and scouting for clues, returned home and saw the transformed Young Cub.

Zhu Xiu didn't show much emotional fluctuation, but Yan Lie found it extremely novel.

"The Wolf Cub transformed?"

After speaking, Yan Lie glanced down at Bai Wanwan's flat stomach.

Originally, he hadn't looked forward to his own Cubs as much, but seeing Xin Feng's Wolf Cub looking so adorable now, he suddenly wanted one too.

Bai Xing realized he was special today. Both his Father Beast and Mother liked holding him, and he loved the scent of the Mother, so he clung to her and refused to leave.

When Yan Lie returned, he wanted to be close to his Female, but he was constrained by the little dumpling constantly being in Wan Wan's arms.

An idea struck him, and he immediately smiled sweetly and leaned closer...
