361: Chapter 361 A Kiss

Bai Wanwan thought she was hallucinating and took a moment to be sure.

"You said... my cub?" She pointed to her own nose.

Bai Wanwan's heart was full of disbelief.

Her memories were still stuck in the twenty-first century; subconsciously, she understood she had some history with this world.

She also suspected she might have a connection with those four Males.

But she never imagined she had even given birth to a cub.

She suddenly stood up from the ground. "Where is the cub? Where is it?"

Yin Ze looked at her with a complex gaze, taking in her emotional shift from disbelief to joy.

"Just before you came out, it quietly jumped out the window and ran away."

Bai Wanwan opened her mouth, wanting to ask him why he didn't stop it.

But he certainly had the freedom not to stop it.

She didn't say these words out loud, but Yin Ze could tell.

"I just wanted to talk to you first, and... since it came to find you in the middle of the night, it will definitely come again."

Hearing Yin Ze say this, she felt relieved.

Bai Wanwan's feelings were also a bit complicated; she wasn't even married yet, and her partner already knew she had been married before and had a cub.

This situation was indeed a bit overwhelming.

"Mhm, what do you want to talk to me about?"

"Do you want to know who that cub's Father Beast is?"

Bai Wanwan looked at him in surprise. "You know?"

Her hand unconsciously climbed onto his arm.

He didn't know at first, but it seemed he had only recently caught a whiff of another scent on that Tiger Cub.

It was very familiar.

So he sat here for most of the night reminiscing, and finally, he remembered.

The other scent on the Tiger Cub came from the Male who had been standing in front of their home.

So... he was also one of Wan Wan's Beast Husbands.

But he clearly saw Wan Wan with him; why didn't he say anything and just watch silently?

He even turned around and left.

"Yes, we only met yesterday."

Bai Wanwan's grip on his arm tightened. "Who is it?"

"The Male who was talking to you in front of the Stone House last night, he is the Tiger Cub's Father Beast."

Bai Wanwan's expression was a kaleidoscope of emotions.

So... she had that kind of relationship with him.

No wonder the way he looked at her was so complex.

He didn't acknowledge her and left in anger; could it be because she didn't remember him and was with Yin Ze?

She immediately felt like she was sitting on pins and needles, as if she had been caught cheating.

At this moment, having too much empathy was quite painful.

She immediately put herself in his shoes; if it were her, she would want to strangle the other person.

Yin Ze watched the expressions on her face change repeatedly and finally couldn't bear it. "Do you want me to take you to find him?"

"Okay, let's go find him right now. I want to ask him clearly."

Yin Ze gave an "Mhm" and pulled back Bai Wanwan, who had already started walking.

"Wait, wash up first and finish eating before we go find him."

Alright...

Bai Wanwan quickly washed up and chewed on a piece of Dried meat before pestering Yin Ze to head out immediately.

But the Tiger Clan Tribe was too large, making it very difficult to find someone.

Even though Bai Wanwan already knew her Beast Husband was named Qiu Rong and was also the Young Clan Leader of this Tiger Clan.

But as they asked around, no one knew where he was.

"Are you looking for the Young Clan Leader?"

Someone heard their voices and took the initiative to come over and talk.

"Yes, do you know where he is?"

"Then you've asked the right person. I met the Young Clan Leader at the Tribe's main gate this morning and even greeted him; he went into the mountains to hunt."

"Then do you know when he usually returns?"

"I wouldn't know that. Do you have some urgent matter with the Young Clan Leader?"

Bai Wanwan naturally couldn't tell the other person about her private affairs, so she just twitched the corners of her mouth and said, "I have something I need to trouble him with, so I'll wait a bit longer."

They waited at the Tribe's main gate from dawn until dusk.

"It's already dark; why hasn't he returned yet?"

Bai Wanwan stood on her tiptoes and peered outside.

"He might have gone to do something else halfway."

"Then wait with me a little longer. If he still doesn't show up, we'll come look for him again tomorrow."

"Okay."

Fewer and fewer Beastmen were entering and leaving the Tribe, and eventually, no trace of Beastmen could be seen on the Tribe's wide streets.

"Wan Wan, let's go back. We'll come again tomorrow."

"Alright..."

Bai Wanwan sighed and withdrew her gaze, remembering she still had her cub.

Perhaps if they went back quickly, the cub would come find her again tonight.

When she held Yin Ze's hand and hurried back to the Stone House, the room was empty.

"It didn't come." She turned to look at Yin Ze with some disappointment.

After this day and night, he had already convinced himself.

If Wan Wan hadn't gone through these things, he might never have met her in his entire life.

And these things all happened before he met her.

They couldn't be changed, and he had no right to demand anything of her.

Since she had a cub, he would treat it as his own.

Perhaps in the future... he and Wan Wan would have their own Cubs.

Thinking this way, his gloomy mood gradually dissipated.

He didn't let go of her hand. "It seems it doesn't want you to discover it. If you look everywhere, you might scare it and make it afraid to appear."

"Why do you think it's afraid of me? Could it be that I was too mean to it?"

"Don't overthink it. When it comes, you can hold it and ask clearly."

"Mhm."

Bai Wanwan was impatient; after finishing dinner and quickly washing up, she lay quietly on the Stone Bed, pretending to sleep.

Yin Ze noticed the Female's eagerness and chuckled softly. "Don't be nervous. If you pretend too obviously, you'll be discovered."

"Then what should I do? I don't know how to pretend."

Yin Ze patted her gently. "Just relax. If you happen to fall asleep, I'll wake you up."

So, she lay in Yin Ze's arms as usual, but today she truly wasn't sleepy.

Her ears were perked up, listening carefully to the movements outside.

Finally... she heard a faint sound.

Yin Ze's hand also paused. "Don't move."

Bai Wanwan immediately closed her eyes and continued to pretend to sleep.

The window was once again pushed open by a white, fluffy paw, and after a moment, a head poked in.

Just like yesterday, the Tiger Cub observed for a while, and after making sure the Beastman hadn't noticed it, it squeezed its entire body through the window.

Then, it leaped lightly across the floor on all fours, and in a short while, it reached the Stone Bed.

Even though Bai Wanwan didn't open her eyes and couldn't hear any sound, she could just feel something slowly approaching her.

Her heart beat faster and faster.

Is this cub really mine?

Soon, she felt it jump up. Then, a furry sensation brushed against her waist and legs.

Perhaps because it had already slept there for one night, the Tiger Cub was much more at ease.

After resting its paw on Bai Wanwan's waist, it allowed itself to burrow into her arms and close its eyes.

Sniffing the familiar scent, the Tiger Cub let out satisfied snores...

When Bai Wanwan opened her eyes, the rims of her eyes were red, and tears shimmered in them.

She didn't want to wake the cub, so she just reached out her hand and gently stroked its fur.

Then she lowered her head and imprinted a kiss on the center of its forehead.
