Chapter 239: Speak!

Bai Wanwan was all too familiar with that look in a Male's eyes.

But right now, she was still worried about her own Cubs, so she couldn't let him have his way.

So, she cupped his face and planted a kiss on his lips. "I need to go check on The Cubs, don't you go making trouble."

Yan Lie also wanted to get up with her, but he pulled on the wounds on his body and let out a soft hiss of pain.

Hearing the sound, Bai Wanwan turned back. "Where are you hurt? Let me see."

After consuming the Youlan Grass, her body was far too weak and exhausted.

Plus, since the Males looked like they were in good condition, she had momentarily forgotten that they had just fought a fierce battle with the Eagle Beasts.

She took a few quick steps over and pulled open Yan Lie's beast skin.

He could feel the Female's fingertips gently brushing against his spine.

However, for injuries of this level, there was no need for the Highly Effective Wound Healing Medicine, so she just applied a layer of regular Healing Ointment.

"Alright, there are quite a few wounds. Lie down and get some rest. I'm going to check on Xin Feng's injuries. Call me if you feel uncomfortable anywhere."

Yan Lie really wanted to keep her there and not let her leave.

But Xin Feng's injuries were likely no fewer than his own. After thinking about it, he suppressed the urge to keep her and only watched with his eyes as she slowly left his sight.

"You're such good babies. You didn't run around while I was gone, right? Mommy's going to give you a reward."

It was only recently, while cleaning up her system panel, that Bai Wanwan discovered there were canned foods and snacks that pets liked at the end of the food section.

Gritting her teeth, she bought several kinds of snacks all at once.

The Cubs caught the scent of the pet snacks and jumped around her in excitement.

The Cubs were so comfortable and happy that their eyes squinted shut, and they turned their bellies up to let their Mother rub them.

Xin Feng watched his Female tenderly. It was a blessing for The Cubs to have such a Mother.

After holding The Cubs for a while, Bai Wanwan placed them back on the ground. "Go play for a bit..."

The Cubs hopped and skipped away. Bai Wanwan smiled at Xin Feng. "Did you teach The Cubs?"

She had always referred to herself as "Mommy" in front of The Cubs, yet they called her Mother. Who else could have taught them if not Xin Feng?

Xin Feng smiled, not denying it.

She stood up and reached out to him. "Come here, let me see your wounds."

Xin Feng wrapped her hand within his large palm and said with a smile, "The injuries aren't heavy, it's fine."

Without taking no for an answer, Bai Wanwan pulled him to sit on the Stone Stool by the house. "Even if they aren't heavy, they need to be treated so they heal faster."

Xin Feng kept a smile in his eyes, his face full of indulgence.

He let Bai Wanwan pull open his beast skin and apply the ointment to him.

Jin Yi leaned halfway against the bed, his handsome face slightly pale from excessive blood loss.

Suddenly, a series of footsteps came from outside the door.

The Male he had sent to investigate had just returned. He walked quickly to his side and reported in a low voice, "Young Clan Leader, that Male is a Cat Beastman. He lives on the east side of the Tribe, in a residence personally arranged by the Clan Leader."

Jin Yi propped himself up with his arms and sat up, his eyes flickering. "Father Beast personally arranged it?"

"Yes."

With that, Jin Yi threw on his beast skin, stepped out with his long legs, and walked out of the residence.

Before long, Jin Yi arrived at the Cat Beastman's dwelling with two Male beastmen.

As it happened, the Cat Beastman was outside butchering prey. When he suddenly saw Jin Yi, he lowered his head guiltily and pretended to be very busy.

After a moment, he hurriedly picked up the stone basin, wanting to go inside.

Who would have thought that as soon as he turned around, Jin Yi would block his path.

"You... you all, is there something you need?"

Jin Yi stared at him, sizing him up from head to toe. "You're a Cat Beastman? How did you come to the Golden Lion Tribe?"

"I... I'm just passing through." His face was full of guilt and panic, and his hands and feet were breaking out in a sweat.

"Passing through... and the Golden Lion Clan Leader personally arranged a residence for you?"
