Only then did Bai Wanwan look down at her hand, realizing what she had unconsciously done.

She quickly pulled her hand back. "Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to."

Zhu Xiu glanced back at her and said nothing more, coiling around her as he walked.

"It's pitch black, why don't you say something? It's so boring."

It was too dark; her vision wasn't as good as a Male's, and she couldn't see her surroundings at all.

"Bai Wanwan, if you weren't a Sacred Female, you would have died several times already..."

"I know! But what can I do? I am the Sacred Female."

And right now, Yin Da was still reluctant to force her.

This was the first time Zhu Xiu had seen such a Female; she wasn't afraid no matter how he tried to scare her.

It seemed she only grew anxious when her Beast Husband was in danger.

Soon, Zhu Xiu carried her back to Yin Da's Stone House.

The door was wide open, but Yin Da was nowhere to be seen inside.

Zhu Xiu released his long tail, and Bai Wanwan tumbled onto the Stone Bed.

"Are you living here by yourself these past few days?"

Bai Wanwan rolled over and leaned against the inner wall. "Yeah!"

She stared beamingly at the tall Male beside the Stone Bed; although she couldn't see clearly, she could feel him looking at her.

Zhu Xiu was indeed staring at her, his gaze sweeping across her face.

"How did you do it?"

Yin Da was brutal and cruel toward other Females; how could he refrain from touching the Sacred Female?

This was a first in history.

"Help me leave this place, and I'll tell you how about that?" Bai Wanwan blinked, her tone casual.

"Heh... and how long can you stall?"

The smile on Bai Wanwan's face stiffened. It was true; Yin Da had patience for her now, so she could stall, but once he lost his patience...

Even her status as a Sacred Female would be useless. Her treatment likely wouldn't be much better than that of other Females.

She suddenly knelt up, instantly closing the distance between herself and Zhu Xiu. "I heard you haven't undergone a Pairing Ceremony yet. Do you want to be my Beast Husband?"

He didn't touch other Females, nor did he eat his own kind.

Furthermore, she admitted she was a sucker for good looks. Since she had to find a powerful beastman to have Cubs with sooner or later...

The one before her was both powerful and handsome. Why shouldn't she take him for herself?

If she could win him over, she could also successfully leave Wandering Beast City.

Zhu Xiu didn't speak immediately.

A strange atmosphere flowed through the silent darkness.

Bai Wanwan blinked, trying hard to see Zhu Xiu's expression.

But it was truly too dark; she couldn't see a thing.

"Say something! I only have one Beast Husband. If you're willing, you'll be my second."

"Do you think I'm Yin Da? That you can sway me with a few words?"

And a clever, cunning one at that.

Having been rejected, Bai Wanwan felt a bit disappointed.

After all, handsome and powerful Males were rare, but she couldn't force someone to like her.

As her mind relaxed, she felt a bit sleepy.

"Fine, fine, I won't provoke you. I'm tired and want to sleep. You can leave now if you've got nothing else."

Bai Wanwan turned over and wrapped herself in the beast skin, pretending to sleep.

Zhu Xiu stared at the Little Female's curled-up figure. His reddish eyes flickered, but he didn't make another sound.

Bai Wanwan faked it for quite a while. There wasn't a sound around her, and she didn't know if Zhu Xiu had left.

She still needed to check on the Cubs.

Having stayed in the same position for too long, half of her shoulder started to ache.

She moved intentionally, pretending to turn over.

Her eyes darted toward the bedside, but Zhu Xiu was nowhere to be seen.

Bai Wanwan threw off the covers and sat up, quickly walking to the small nest beside the Stone Bed.

The several Cubs were lying in the nest, sleeping soundly, completely unaware they were surrounded by predators.

She reached out and touched them one by one. Their furry, warm bodies vibrated slightly with their breathing, deep in sleep.

After confirming the Cubs were all safe and sound, she returned to the Stone Bed.

How distressing!

Zhu Xiu was impervious to persuasion, and she couldn't escape.

She didn't know how much longer she could keep fooling Yin Da.

For the first time since transmigrating to the Beast World, Bai Wanwan suffered from insomnia.

Even though she was exhausted, her mind was tense, making it impossible to relax and fall asleep.

Bai Wanwan looked at him in shock; this was abstractly ugly.

Of the three leaders, Zhu Xiu was as perfect as a god, and Yin Da was plain-looking but at least not scary enough to make someone cry.

The Third Leader before her, Shi Sen, could definitely make a passerby weep in terror.

It wasn't just his bulging eyes; his nose was large and flat.

That mouth was even more devoid of beauty—thick and wide. When he spoke, the gaps between his teeth let the air whistle through.

"You... are Shi Sen?"

Bai Wanwan was incredibly relieved she hadn't been snatched away by him yesterday.

Shi Sen noticed the change in her expression, and his face darkened instantly. "You think I'm ugly?"

Seeing him about to lose his temper, Bai Wanwan immediately behaved and began to praise him. "How could I think you're ugly? You look mighty and robust; you must be very popular with the Females, right? I'd say among all the Males in Wandering Beast City, you're at least in the top three..."

This wasn't entirely a lie... it was just that after Zhu Xiu and Yin Da, he was also tragically hideous.

Shi Sen's expression softened slightly. "Zhu Xiu brought you back yesterday. Since you aren't his Female, come with me."

"I only came back to see my Cubs. Of course I'm his Female. Why don't you go ask him yourself?"

As she spoke, Yin Da entered from outside the Stone House. He had been wearing a smile, but it vanished the moment he saw Shi Sen in the room.
