85: Chapter 85 was even more nervous than her.

Xin Feng strode out of the Stone House, but Bai Wanwan didn't follow him; it was simply too cold outside, and she couldn't withstand that temperature.

Before long, Xin Feng walked back in, shaking his head as he told Bai Wanwan, "I didn't see who left it."

Bai Wanwan hesitated for a moment. "I think I saw the back of a Male."

"We don't know any other beastmen here. Who would bring someone prey during the Snow Season?" And one every single day at that!

That Aunt Lu was just an ordinary Female, and her Beast Husband must be getting on in years too. It was hard enough for them to feed their own family, so how could they possibly bring them prey every day?

"I'll tell Zhu Xiu about this when he gets back."

He put his arm around Bai Wanwan as they walked further in, helping her sit down on the Stone Bed.

Just then, The Cubs in her belly started acting up. After sitting down, Bai Wanwan took his hand and placed it on her stomach. "Can you feel that?"

Xin Feng felt something bulging and pulsing beneath his palm; it felt quite strong.

These were his Cubs!

A strange sensation welled up in his heart. "Wan Wan, I feel them. Does it hurt when they stir like this?"

In truth, it didn't hurt much; for the most part, this litter of Cubs wasn't very rowdy.

But she wanted to tease him, so she intentionally pulled a long face. "It's quite uncomfortable right now. It feels like they're fighting inside."

Xin Feng's expression twisted with tension. "Then should I rub it for you?"

His palms began to gently stroke her belly as he muttered, "Cubs, be good. Don't trouble your Mother, or your Father Beast will give you a beating once you come out."

After speaking, he stared at Bai Wanwan's face again, observing her expression. "Does it still hurt?"

"Mm." Bai Wanwan pretended to frown, leaning halfway into his arms.

Xin Feng's whole body went stiff, so worried he didn't know what to do.

Bai Wanwan quietly lifted her eyelids to peek at him. Seeing him so helpless for the first time, she thought she'd better not truly scare him half to death.

Ultimately unable to hold it in, she burst out laughing in his arms.

Xin Feng froze for a moment. Looking at her beaming face, he realized immediately. The tension on his face faded, replaced by a helpless smile.

"You were scaring me just now? You're not uncomfortable?" He still wanted to make sure.

"Mm, I was just teasing you. I'm not uncomfortable."

She reached up to touch his slender neck. "Look at how nervous you were... but I like it."

Xin Feng was used to her occasional pranks. He gently caught her mischief-making hand. "Teasing me is fine, but you must tell the truth if you're ever actually uncomfortable."

As they were speaking, Zhu Xiu walked in from outside.

Xin Feng looked up at him and asked, "Did the Clan Leader agree?"

"He agreed. I just went to see the house; it has three stone rooms. It'll be much warmer."

Bai Wanwan's eyes sparkled. "Then when are we moving over?"

This Stone House was too narrow; the sleeping and cooking areas were in the same space. With two Males who were both quite tall, even a slight movement made it feel extremely crowded.

"Move today? Moving earlier means we can have everything arranged before you give birth to The Cubs."

The family quickly reached an agreement and decided to move today.

The two Males were men of action, quickly packing up everything in the Stone House.

Zhu Xiu took her into his arms, using his Innate Ability to dispel the cold from outside.

Xin Feng followed behind them carrying their things.

The new Stone House wasn't far from the place Aunt Lu had arranged for them, only about one or two hundred meters away.

Bai Wanwan allowed Zhu Xiu to carry her into the house.

The Stone House was relatively spacious, with a layout of two bedrooms and a living area. Bai Wanwan observed for a while and was very satisfied.

Zhu Xiu carried her directly into the largest stone room.

"The wind can't blow in here. That way, when you give birth to The Cubs, you won't freeze."

Both Males were incredibly capable; Bai Wanwan didn't need to do a single thing as they arranged everything perfectly.

Nestled in her down comforter, Bai Wanwan couldn't help but reflect. When the Snow Season first arrived, there was only Xin Feng in the house, and no one would have stopped her even if she'd gone to catch fish.

Now with two Males taking turns watching her, they would scramble to help if she even so much as touched a stone basin.

As her due date approached, Bai Wanwan became increasingly lethargic and tired.

Over the next two or three days, she spent most of her time curled up in the down comforter.

Xin Feng was outside starting a fire to cook, while Zhu Xiu was coiled in a loop with his eyes tightly shut.

"Zhu Xiu, I'm so bored. Talk to me for a bit."

Only then did Zhu Xiu stop absorbing the energy stone. He opened his eyes and looked at her, and in the blink of an eye, he transformed into a tall, handsome Male and walked to Bai Wanwan's side.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Has the snow outside melted yet? Are any beastmen out wandering around?"

"The snow has melted, but the weather hasn't warmed up yet. There are very few beastmen outside, almost all of them are Males."

"Now that we've moved, are there still beastmen bringing us prey?"

She asked casually, then noticed Zhu Xiu's expression wasn't right.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "There really are? It's been happening these past few days too?"

Where did this living Bodhisattva come from?

In such cold weather, it was truly difficult to find prey without some real skill, let alone catch it.

"Mm. Every day, they drop it at the door while I'm away or during the night."

Bai Wanwan stared at him. "Even you can't find out who's leaving it?"

He hadn't really cared much over the last two days, but since Wan Wan asked, he would keep watch tonight to see exactly who it was.

Continuously bringing them prey... it certainly wouldn't be for him and Xin Feng.

It could only be for the Little Female. And what would they want with the Little Female?

Zhu Xiu could guess a thing or two without even trying.

"Ouch!"

Bai Wanwan, who had been talking to him, suddenly cried out.

Zhu Xiu's hand stiffened as he supported her. "What's wrong?"

"My stomach hurts. I might be about to give birth."

After saying that to Zhu Xiu, she didn't have time to worry about Xin Feng and immediately shouted to the system, "peanut, quick, exchange for Painless Childbirth for me."

It was only just starting, so it wasn't too painful yet.

She had to hurry so she could suffer less.

"Certainly, Host. It has been successfully exchanged for you."

Bai Wanwan relaxed. Next, she only felt her belly getting tighter and tighter, without any sensation of pain at all.

Zhu Xiu spoke to her for a while, and seeing no response, he immediately called Xin Feng in.

"Xin Feng, take some prey and go invite the Tribe Shaman over. Wan Wan is about to give birth."

Bai Wanwan was in a very good state right now; she could even eat some snacks and chat for a bit.

"Don't go, it doesn't hurt anymore."

But Zhu Xiu didn't agree. "Giving birth is a very dangerous thing. We must have the Shaman come over."

Xin Feng agreed as well. If a crisis occurred, it would be too late for regrets.

"Wan Wan, Zhu Xiu is right. Just in case, I have to go call the Shaman over."

The two Males reached an agreement. No matter how much Bai Wanwan talked until her throat was dry, they insisted on inviting the Shaman over to feel at ease.

Watching the two head of prey they dragged away, Bai Wanwan felt as if a piece of her heart had been carved out; this was practically giving it away for free.

Watching helplessly as Xin Feng dragged the prey out, her belly felt tighter and tighter.

Zhu Xiu's face was full of gravity, and he held her hand so tightly that the veins on his arm bulged.

"Does it still hurt?"

Bai Wanwan turned her head to look at him, seeing his face was pale and his features were all scrunched up.

It was as if he were the one suffering the pain.
