5: Chapter 5 The Ultimate Beauty and Ugliness

As the words fell, two tall Males appeared at the entrance of the Stone House.

It was actually the Tribe Chief's two cubs!

"Xin Shan and Xin Yu will be your Beast Husbands from now on!" The Chief said with a beaming smile, then immediately turned to leave.

"Wait..." Bai Wanwan narrowed her eyes. "I have no intention of going through a Pairing Ceremony."

The Chief smiled, his expression appearing very benevolent. "Wan Wan, the Rainy Season is about to begin. As a newly adult Little Female, living alone is very dangerous. Since you haven't chosen a Beast Husband, as the Chief, it is my duty to ensure Males protect your safety. This matter is decided."

"Xin Shan, Xin Yu, from now on, Wan Wan is your Consort."

Xin Shan and Xin Yu looked at Bai Wanwan, their eyes flickering.

With a single sentence, the Chief had made arrangements for her, giving her absolutely no chance to refuse. After forcibly leaving them behind, he walked away.

Scheming against her so blatantly?

Fine, she would deal with it after she woke up.

She ignored the two Males, turned and entered the Stone House, and lay down on the Stone Bed covered with beast skin, which felt uncomfortably hard against her.

But she was so exhausted that she quickly fell asleep.

The night was deep, and sounds that made one blush and heart race drifted from Hu Ya's cave.

The low growls of the Male beastmen and the sharp cries of the Female were intertwined, sounding exceptionally harsh in the quiet Tribe.

Many Males were kept tossing and turning by the commotion, their hearts itching with restlessness.

Bai Wanwan was sleeping soundly when she suddenly felt an unusual sensation on her leg.

She woke up with a start and discovered that something was wriggling under the beast skin covering her.

"Get lost!" She raised her leg and delivered a fierce kick.

"Ouch!"

Xin Yu tumbled off the Stone Bed in a sorry state, landing flat on his back.

Bai Wanwan had a terrible temper when her sleep was disturbed.

Anger flickered in her eyes. "What do you think you're doing?"

Xin Yu sat on the ground, looking up at her. "Wan Wan, I... I wanted to make you comfortable."

At that exact moment, Hu Ya's voice drifted from the cave next door again, hoarse to the point of being shrill, accompanied by the increasingly wild low growls of the Male beastman.

Bai Wanwan felt that her ears had suffered significant damage.

Xin Yu, unwilling to give up, reached out again to touch her lower leg.

"Touch me one more time," she said coldly, "and get back to your home right now."

Seeing this, Xin Shan quickly stepped forward and pulled Xin Yu up.

"Wan Wan, we thought you would like it. Since you don't want to, I will keep an eye on Xin Yu. You should sleep well."

After Xin Yu was dragged away by Xin Shan, the peace did not last long.

Hu Ya's cries showed no restraint, sharp and grating.

Bai Wanwan could take it no more. She threw off the beast skin, stood up, and strode toward the cave next door.

In the dim cave, Bai Wanwan couldn't see the movement on the bed clearly, only a few blurry shadows.

They were certainly playing quite wildly.

Hu Ya was crying out with gusto when she suddenly looked up and saw Bai Wanwan at the bedside. Her hoarse voice suddenly turned shrill.

"Ah! Bai..."

Hu Ya regained her voice. "Bai Wanwan, why are you here?"

This question made the Beast Husband on top of her finally stop.

Bai Wanwan dug at her ear and said with composure, "You were screaming so loudly, and you're asking why I'm here? Since you want me to hear so badly, I'll just sit here and listen every day. Come on, continue!"

Hu Ya cursed angrily, "Get out!"

"You're keeping me from sleeping," Bai Wanwan simply sat down on the Stone Bed. "Since I can't sleep anyway, why don't you continue the performance for me?"

Hu Ya had just entered the Pairing Ceremony, and her interest was at its peak.

She had indeed made a big commotion on purpose, wanting the brothers Xin Shan and Xin Yu to hear how happy it was to be with her.

She hadn't expected that those two brothers wouldn't come, but Bai Wanwan would.

Hu Ya's lips were dry from cursing, yet Bai Wanwan still wouldn't leave.

"Bai Wanwan, what exactly do you want?"

"I already told you! You're disturbing me."

Hu Ya's Beast Husband was caressing her waist, and Hu Ya, itching with desire, had to suppress her anger and say, "We will be careful. It won't happen again."

"Then remember your words. If you disturb me again, I'll squat by your bedside and listen every single day."

The next day at noon, Bai Wanwan finally woke up slowly.

Famished, she searched the entire cave and only found a few pieces of Dried meat as hard as rock.

The moment she bit down, she nearly broke her teeth.

"Are all beastmen made of iron teeth and copper fangs?"

Suddenly, she felt that this picturesque Beast World with fresh air wasn't so great after all.

"peanut, even oxen and sheep need to be fed before they can work, right? If I can't eat or sleep well, how am I supposed to bear cubs? No way, I'm going on strike."

The system hurriedly soothed her: "Host, please endure a little longer. Once you bear cubs and have points, you can eat whatever you want."

"So you're just drawing cakes to satisfy my hunger, right?"

She counted on her fingers, "I want lobster, salmon, Hot Pot, and barbecue."

As she spoke, her eyes turned red. These delicacies that were once so easy to get had now become a luxury.

But she had always had a good mentality; her emotions came and went quickly.

After eating, she walked to the cave entrance and peered outside.

Today was unusually quiet; Hu Ya's family next door seemed to be out, and the two brothers, Xin Shan and Xin Yu, were nowhere to be seen either.

She walked out in boredom. Along the way, she could hardly see any Males. She guessed they had gone up the mountain to hunt in preparation for the upcoming Rainy Season and Snow Season.

In the Tribe, only the Females were busy, processing various foods.

The Lynx Tribe was rough and primitive, but it also had a kind of peace and tranquility.

She strolled along with a smile the whole way, waving to other beastmen from time to time.

Her leisurely appearance was completely out of place with the other busy beastmen.

Unknowingly, she walked out of the Tribe and arrived at the back mountain.

A two-meter-wide stream meandered down from the mountain, its water clear enough to see the bottom.

Peering inside, she could even see fish and shrimp swimming about.

Bai Wanwan's eyes lit up, and she licked her lips. She was so hungry.

If she absolutely had to eat it raw, she could choose to eat sashimi.

Although the weather was a bit chilly, it couldn't be a reason to stop her from having a full meal.

After hesitating for a moment, she found a secluded spot and simply took off her cumbersome clothes.

The weather was turning cold, and it would be even more inconvenient to wash her hair and bathe later unless she could build a fire to boil water.

She folded her clothes and placed them on the bank, then slid into the water naked. After washing herself quickly, she began to try and catch fish in the water.

She had thought it would be very easy, but after struggling for a long time, she hadn't managed to catch a single one.

Her foot slipped, and Bai Wanwan fell into the water.

"Who's there?"

Bai Wanwan opened her mouth to speak, but swallowed a mouthful of water instead.

She struggled to get up, but in her panic, she fell back down.

She didn't even have time to think too much. She heard the sound of splashing water, and then she was scooped out of the water by a strong arm.

What came into view was half of a hideous face.

From the corner of his eye to the corner of his mouth, it had been cruelly ruined by scratch marks. The irregular, scabbed-over lumps of flesh made that half of his face look extremely terrifying.

Yet, it formed a stark contrast with the other half of his face.

The other half of his face was exquisitely handsome. With such outstanding features, it was estimated that only another Male, Qiu Rong, could compare to him.

After saving her, he quickly averted his gaze and moved his hand away, not touching her in the slightest.

A flush of crimson spread from his handsome half-cheek all the way to his earlobe.
