358: Chapter 358 Are You My Beast Husband?

Chapter 358: Are You My Beast Husband?

The corners of Bai Wanwan's lips curled up slightly, revealing a polite yet distant smile. Her gaze only lingered on Qiu Rong for a brief moment before she quickly looked away and continued walking forward without stopping.

Qiu Rong, however, frowned slightly because of her unfamiliar and cold gaze, a faint sense of abnormality rising in the depths of his heart.

He subconsciously looked at her a few more times; Bai Wanwan's gaze just now hadn't shown a single ripple of emotion.

Although the two of them didn't have much interaction, she had at least given birth to a litter of Cubs for him. Why would she look at him like a stranger?

Qiu Rong's emotional fluctuation did not escape Feng Xi's notice beside him.

Feng Xi followed his line of sight, her gaze falling on Bai Wan's slender back, a hint of inquiry flashing in her eyes.

That Female was exceptionally beautiful, and she was accompanied by a Male whose appearance was not inferior to Qiu Rong's... Was she also a Sacred Female?

Could it be... that Brother Rong refused to undergo the Pairing Ceremony with her because of this woman?

"Brother Rong, do you know that Female from just now?"

She had stayed here for quite a long time and had never seen that Female before.

Qiu Rong quickly composed his emotions and looked back at her. "I don't know her."

Feng Xi, however, continued to stare at his face, trying to see more emotion in it.

But she failed. Brother Rong was always like this; she could never find the answers she wanted from his expressions.

But it didn't matter; she could investigate.

She hoped that Female had no connection whatsoever to Brother Rong.

Otherwise... she didn't know what she might do.

Bai Wanwan and Yin Ze arrived at the Plaza where the Traveling Merchants gathered. The surroundings were noisy and bustling, with stalls filled with goods from various Tribes.

Yin Ze took her hand and stepped forward, asking a Traveling Merchant, "Excuse me, among the Tribes you've passed along the way, have you heard any news of a lost Female?"

The merchant shook his head and said with certainty, "I haven't heard of any. Females are the treasures of a Tribe; how could one be easily lost?"

As he spoke, his gaze moved past Yin Ze and landed on Bai Wanwan, his eyes suddenly lighting up. "Could it be... the one lost is this Female?"

Yin Ze's gaze turned slightly cold. He took a step to the side, unobtrusively blocking the other's prying eyes, and said in a deep voice, "No, she is my Consort."

The merchant narrowed his eyes, seemingly suspicious, but seeing Yin Ze's stern expression, he didn't ask further.

Yin Ze moved along the street, asking several Caravans along the way, but he didn't get any news of a lost Female from any of them.

Yin Ze turned to look at Bai Wanwan. His Wan Wan was so beautiful; she must have been a very popular Female among the Males in her Tribe.

How could there be no news spreading?

Could it be that she came from an even more remote Tribe?

But how could a Little Female like her cross thousands of miles to reach this region?

If she had been washed down by the river, the Little Female should have lost her life long ago.

The fact that she was still alive meant she hadn't been in the water for long; otherwise, she might have been long gone by the time he found her.

He took Bai Wanwan's hand and turned to leave. "It's okay, let's go ask somewhere else."

Bai Wanwan followed behind him and tugged at his hand. "Is it quite a lot of trouble?"

"Even the Traveling Merchants don't know; it seems this matter is a bit tricky..." Bai Wanwan bit her lower lip lightly, her beautiful eyebrows furrowing slightly, revealing a hint of worry.

Seeing this, Yin Ze immediately comforted her softly, "Don't worry. If we really can't find any clues, I'll accompany you to search Tribe by Tribe. I fly fast, so we'll definitely find it soon."

Bai Wanwan felt a warmth in her heart. She looked up at him, a grateful smile rippling in her eyes. "Yin Ze, thank you."

The corners of Yin Ze's lips hooked up slightly, and his fingertips gently stroked the back of her hand as he whispered, "No need to say thank you to me."

They spent the entire day searching for clues in the Tiger Clan Tribe.

But there wasn't a single bit of information related to her.

"Wan Wan, is it possible we've come to the wrong place? Let's stay here for two more days. If we still can't find any useful news, we'll leave for somewhere else."

"Okay."

She had no objection. She had lost her memory and didn't have much knowledge of this world.

Fortunately, she had Yin Ze by her side.

With him there, he would know how to handle certain things.

It wasn't until dark that the two of them walked back hand in hand.

Bai Wanwan was already very tired and wanted nothing more than to collapse immediately.

But Yin Ze showed no signs of fatigue. Not only did he start a fire to roast meat for her, but he also fetched water for her to wash up.

Over the next two days, the two of them went in and out together like a real couple. Their interactions became more natural, tacit understanding grew, and their feelings deepened unknowingly.

"Wan Wan, you don't need to go out today. I'll go exchange for some food, and when I get back, we'll leave this place."

"Okay, then come back quickly."

She saw him to the door and watched until Yin Ze waved and left.

All of this was witnessed by Qiu Rong from the shadows.

After two days of observation, Qiu Rong confirmed that there was only this one Male by her side, while Xin Feng and Zhu Xiu were nowhere to be found.

Where did those two Males go?

Or rather... had she grown tired of the old and abandoned them for the new?

Although he had only seen him once, he could tell that the Male beside her was extremely powerful, even stronger than Xin Feng and Zhu Xiu.

Since she could so easily discard them, then... there was no need for her to see The Cubs.

His eyes darkened slightly, and just as he was about to turn and leave, Bai Wanwan suddenly turned her head, her gaze crashing directly into his.

Qiu Rong's footsteps paused, but he quickly retracted his gaze and continued walking away.

Bai Wanwan hesitated for a moment and then quickly chased after him.

She ran a few steps and blocked Qiu Rong's path, looking up at him with clear and puzzled eyes. "Is it you? You were standing outside just now... were you waiting for me?"

She always felt that this Male seemed to know her, so she couldn't help but chase after him to ask for clarification.

Her obstruction caused him to stop in his tracks.

Qiu Rong looked down at her, only to find that her gaze was far too unfamiliar, as if she were looking at a beastman she had never seen before.

An absurd guess suddenly rose in Qiu Rong's heart.

He remained silent for a moment before first asking the doubt in his heart, "Where are Xin Feng and Zhu Xiu?"

Bai Wanwan was startled and said blankly, "Who are you talking about?"

Immediately after, a flash of surprise appeared in her eyes. "You know me, don't you? Are the two Males you mentioned... my Beast Husbands?"

She had lost her memory, yet she could still remember those four faces. She felt they must be extremely important to her.

Qiu Rong's eyes flickered, and his voice was cold and deep. "You don't remember?"

Bai Wanwan nodded, her tone dejected. "I had an accident before and was rescued from the Underground River. I haven't remembered anything since I woke up."

Qiu Rong looked at her with a complex expression, speechless for a moment.

Bai Wanwan hesitated for a moment before tentatively speaking, "Then did I... live here before? And I... shouldn't have any relationship with you, right?"

She carefully observed his expression, filled with confusion in her heart.

If there was a relationship, why did he pretend not to know her several times? If there wasn't, why would he appear here?
