41: Chapter 41 Do Me a Favor

If this were before, Bai Wanwan would have surely rolled her eyes at any Male who spoke to her like that.

But the way Xin Feng said it was so refreshing; everything sounded pleasant and nice.

Bai Wanwan picked up a piece of meat and brought it to his mouth, “A reward for you.”

Xin Feng smiled, opened his mouth, and accepted it.

It was only that one time; later on, Bai Wanwan never had to pick up food for him. Xin Feng was always observant and timely enough to pick the dishes she wanted and place them in her bowl.

“peanut, did you say anything to me before I fell unconscious?”

She had been too tired and sleepy then. Xin Feng had been bothering her continuously, so she hadn't paid much attention.

“Yes, Host. I was reminding the Host that pregnancy was successful.”

For the next three days, it was as if Xin Feng had opened the door to a new world.

She was almost worn out; every day she had to rely on pills exchanged with points to replenish her stamina to keep her alive.

Fortunately, those pills only cost thirty points.

But with daily consumption, her already small number of points was rapidly decreasing.

Xin Feng was now accustomed to being intimate with her and no longer became stiff all over like he was initially.

He really liked being close to her; even after eating, he liked to hold her while sitting for a while.

“It’s snowing outside.”

Xin Feng tidied her hair and wrapped his arm around her waist.

Bai Wanwan leaned against his shoulder, finding a comfortable posture.

“So soon? Is the snow heavy?”

She was too lazy to open the door to look; she genuinely feared the cold and had no expectations for snowy days.

“It just started snowing, not heavily. But it could pile up a thick layer in four or five days.”

Winter was suitable for hibernation. Being cared for by Xin Feng every day, all she did was eat, sleep, or play with The Cubs. She didn't need to worry about anything else.

Days passed one by one. One day, as Bai Wanwan just woke up and was playing with The Cubs, Xin Feng called to her from outside the door: “Wan Wan, the snow is blocking the door. I need to clear some of it. It’s a bit cold, don’t come out.”

“Okay.”

She responded lazily. In this weather, she didn't even want to move, let alone go outside?

After hearing her reply, Xin Feng pulled open the door. Along with the cold wind rushing in came long-absent sunlight and the accumulated heavy snow.

Bai Wanwan wrapped the few Cubs in beast skin and poked her head out to glance at the entrance.

The wind wasn't strong, but it was definitely much colder than inside the Cave.

She shivered, looked at the situation outside, and couldn't help but click her tongue, “The snow is this thick?”

The heavy snow covered the ground, and the accumulation outside the Cave was almost up to Xin Feng's knees.

“The snow came fast and furious this Snow Season, but that’s a good thing. The more snow falls, the faster the Snow Season will pass.”

Xin Feng said as he started scooping snow out with a stone basin.

Bai Wanwan held The Cubs and lay down on the sofa. She hoped the Snow Season would pass quickly.

If it passed sooner, the Warm Season would arrive, and she could leave the Cat Clan Tribe to explore the outside world...

After clearing all the snow from the doorway, Xin Feng dug out a large area further outside.

Hu Ya’s few Beast Husbands next door were doing the same thing.

But their luck was worse; their wooden door had collapsed under the snow. They had been clearing it for half a day and still needed to repair the door.

The two dwellings were close. Lu Yi, Hu Ya’s Beast Husband, saw his fully recovered face.

“Xin Feng, how did your face get better?”

His face was full of surprise. Even the Clan Witch couldn't heal it, so how could the scar be gone after only a few days?

Hu Ya’s other Beast Husbands also turned to look at him.

Xin Feng only grunted “En,” without intending to answer him, continuing to clear the snow in front of the door.

Hu Ya, just like Bai Wanwan, was very afraid of the cold and was originally hiding in the Cave, not wanting to come out at all.

Lu Yi’s voice wasn't quiet, and upon hearing it, she immediately wrapped two more layers of beast skin skirt around herself and hurried to the entrance.

In the swirling snow, Xin Feng stood tall and handsome, clad in black beast skin.

Hu Ya froze on the spot, as if transported back to when she first saw him as a child.

His half-face, which had previously looked as ugly as a monstrous beast, now looked as handsome as the other half, as if it had never been injured.

“How is this possible?”

Hu Ya was extremely astonished and rubbed her eyes.

When she looked again, Xin Feng’s face hadn't changed; it was still captivatingly beautiful.

Hu Ya’s heart pounded wildly. She wanted Xin Feng!

She subconsciously took a step forward, intending to walk out.

But the cold weather forced the leg she had extended back.

Snapping back to reality, she realized Xin Feng was already Bai Wanwan’s Beast Husband.

Just then, Xin Feng looked up.

Hu Ya immediately suppressed the jealousy in her heart and waved happily at him.

“Xin Feng!”

Xin Feng merely looked up to survey his surroundings. He immediately saw Hu Ya. He quickly splashed the snow in the stone basin out, turned a corner, and continued his work with his back to her.

Hu Ya called out to him, unwilling to give up, but Xin Feng acted as if he couldn't hear her, completely ignoring her.

Was Bai Wanwan really that good? He wouldn't even spare her a glance.

Xin Feng worked quickly, clearing an area in front of the door in just a few moves. Unlike Hu Ya’s Beast Husbands, he didn't continue clearing but turned around and entered the stone Cave, sealing the door tightly.

When Hu Ya saw him enter the Cave, she stamped her foot in anger.

She turned around and saw Xin Shan and Xin Yu, the two Males also with their backs to her.

She suddenly realized that the two of them seemed not to have entered their own den for a long time.

A guess arose in her mind. “Xin Shan, Xin Yu, turn around.”

The two Males had no choice but to pause their snow sweeping and face her.

“You two also like Bai Wanwan, right?”

Hu Ya’s tearful accusation startled Xin Yu, causing him to drop the wooden stick he was holding. He stammered, “I... Ya Ya, n-no, it’s nothing.”

Xin Shan’s expression didn't change at all; he just stared at Hu Ya and said, “Ya Ya, we are your Beast Husbands.”

Xin Feng's indifference was already fueling Hu Ya's anger.

She recalled that the two Males had recently stopped being close to her, which greatly annoyed her.

“Fine, you two come to the den with me right now.”

Xin Yu glanced back at his older brother.

Xin Yu looked at his older brother who was sweeping snow outside. He gritted his teeth and said, “I was just angry that you ignored me before. I’ll stay with you now.”

After saying that, he walked over, picked Hu Ya up around the waist, and strode inside.

Xin Yu served her diligently, and only then did Hu Ya stop making things difficult for the two brothers.
