Chapter 47: It's You!
The cub was too small; having been frozen in the Snowy Ground for so long, its body temperature was already extremely low.
It struggled even to move, curled into a ball in the snow.
Qiu Rong transformed into his human form, walked to the cub's side, and reached out to pick it up from the ground.
The moment he saw it, Qiu Rong's heart tightened.
In his hand was a Little Tiger Cub, likely just born not long ago.
Crucially, the aura it carried was inherited from him.
Almost immediately, Qiu Rong knew this was his own cub.
The only time he had ever been with a Female was that night.
Afterward, he couldn't remember anything about that Female; only the feelings from that time remained.
He had even begun to doubt if he was overthinking it and if it had ever happened at all.
He had investigated every Female in the Tribe but hadn't found that Little Female.
It wasn't until he saw the Tiger Cub now that he knew what happened that night was real.
Seeing the dying Tiger Cub with its eyelids drooping, he didn't have time to think and quickly wrapped the cub in his Innate Ability.
The warm aura allowed the Tiger Cub to slowly regain its vitality.
Only after ensuring the Tiger Cub was no longer in mortal danger did Qiu Rong hold the cub and observe it carefully.
The cub didn't bear any characteristics of its Mother, making it difficult to identify her.
After checking it over for a while, the Tiger Cub grew sleepy and opened its small mouth to let out a yawn.
Perhaps sensing the scent of its Father Beast, the Tiger Cub didn't reject him at all; instead, it rubbed its head against his palm.
It was trying to find a comfortable position to sleep.
Qiu Rong had never been a Father Beast before. Seeing the tiny cub depending on him, a strange feeling welled up in his heart.
It made him instinctively want to take good care of this little thing.
He tapped the Tiger Cub's head with his finger. "Just who is your Mother?"
Only when a Female transformed into her Beast Form could her unique scent be detected by those close to her.
But...
He thought carefully about the pregnant Females in the Cat Clan Tribe recently...
Bai Wanwan's face surfaced in his mind, and his heart trembled slightly. Could it really be her?
Qiu Rong pulled the cub into his arms and quickly scanned the surroundings.
He couldn't let Bai Wanwan fall into the hands of Wandering Beastmen.
He had to find her and ask clearly whether she was the one who had given birth to his cub.
If it was her...
Qiu Rong didn't stop to think about what would happen after he found her; he quickly leaped deeper into the forest.

Bai Wanwan took some Meat Strips out of the system space to feed the Cubs.
They were still small. After eating the Meat Strips and being held in their Mother's arms, they grew sleepy and began to snore softly.
Enduring her anxiety alone, Bai Wanwan couldn't help but ask the system, "peanut, do you have any way to help me find the Tiger Cub?"
"Host, if you had enough points, you could, but you only have eight hundred points left, which is far from enough."
"Then can you lend them to me? I can pay you back double or triple."
Compared to the cub's life, the points were naturally less important.
"Host, no. Last time was a new Host benefit; there's only one such opportunity."
Bai Wanwan kicked the Cliff wall in frustration. As a weakling who had traveled to this world full of beasts and beastmen, she couldn't do anything.
"Don't worry, Host. You've just arrived and only given birth to one litter of Cubs, which is why you feel powerless. Once you find a few powerful Beast Husbands and give birth to Cubs with High-level Talents, you'll be able to use points to protect yourself and your Cubs."
If she could give birth, she wanted to do it immediately—one litter after another.
But none of that could happen right away.
She shut her mouth irritably, processing her emotions on her own.
Time ticked by, and the Cubs in her arms slept soundly.
Bai Wanwan's body was exhausted, but mentally, she wasn't sleepy at all.
She had already stood up more than ten times to look outside through the rocks.
It was pitch black outside; she couldn't see anything.
She had no choice but to walk back and sit down against the Cliff wall.
Suddenly, she heard the huffing and puffing of a wild beast outside.
Bai Wanwan immediately turned her head toward the Cave entrance.
The entrance was tightly blocked by rocks, so she couldn't see what kind of beast was outside.
But the huffing grew louder, accompanied by the sound of teeth grinding against stone.
Before long, the rock blocking the Cave seemed to slide a little.
Seeing this, Bai Wanwan quickly stood up again and pressed her frail body against the rock.
But how could her strength compete with a wild beast?
The rock pushed her, sliding inward bit by bit.
Bai Wanwan bit her lip and pushed off the ground with all her might.
She knew that if she let that beast in before Xin Feng returned, she and the Cubs would likely be left with nothing.
Huff... puff...
Bai Wanwan turned over, gritting her teeth as she pushed with her hands and feet.
As luck would have it, the Cubs in the basket woke up, knocked it over, and slowly crawled out.
"Tiger Cub, get back inside quickly."
The rock had already been pushed open quite a bit; although the beast couldn't get in, it would be easy for a Tiger Cub to crawl out.
The Tiger Cub couldn't understand her words. Startled by her shout, it shook its tail and trotted toward her.
Bai Wanwan was scared to death and continued to shout at it, "Tiger Cub, go back! Don't come over!"
As she spoke, she raised her foot to block it, preventing it from getting near the entrance.
But with just that momentary distraction, the rock was pushed inward another notch.
Only then did the Tiger Cub realize its Mother wasn't playing.
It saw the beast at the entrance and, frightened, turned its chubby body around and scrambled back into the basket.
The other two Cubs also woke up, but just as they curiously peeked their heads out, they were pushed back by the Tiger Cub.
Bai Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief at the sight and then used every ounce of strength she had to push back.
Now she could only pray that she could hold on and buy enough time for Xin Feng to rush back.
The beast outside had already caught the sweet scent of the Cubs.
It went into a frenzy and began to ram the rock frantically.
With every impact, Bai Wanwan was pushed back several inches.
The opening grew larger and larger, enough for a person to squeeze through.
It's over...
Looking at that opening, Bai Wanwan felt as if a hole had opened in her heart as well, with cold air constantly pouring in.
With another collision, Bai Wanwan was sent flying, crashing down next to the Bamboo Basket.
She immediately scrambled up to push the rock, but she was a step too late. The rock was rammed open again, and a beast's head poked inside.
Bai Wanwan couldn't see the beast clearly, but a thick, bloody stench filled her nose, making her gag.
She grabbed the Bamboo Basket from the ground and retreated as far as she could, shrinking into the narrowest part of the Cave.
Suddenly, the excitedly huffing beast let out a howl.
Thud!
Its massive body seemed to have been thrown out.
Bai Wanwan couldn't help but peek out, but the rock obstructed her view.
Was Xin Feng back?
Just as she was thinking, the rock was pushed aside, and a figure appeared at the entrance.
"Xin Feng?"
She couldn't see the person's face clearly, but seeing the silhouette, she guessed he had returned.
Just as her heart was about to settle, the approaching figure spoke: "Bai Wanwan, you really are a surprise!"
The smile on Bai Wanwan's face froze as she stared at the figure in disbelief. "Roger, it's you..."
