133: God of Thunder
I made a slight mistake in the previous chapter's content and have since revised it.
Someone brought up the issue of Cosmo Power. When I wrote it, I had definitely researched and considered it.
This includes the so-called superpowers awakened by the Sixth Sense. You can't say that Awakening the Sixth Sense immediately grants countless superpowers... Moreover, in the setting, as the Sixth Sense strengthens, more and more superpowers are mastered, and the life level gradually approaches that of a Seventh Sense powerhouse.
When Cosmo Power is added, we are simply extracting the concept and power of the Little Universe, without considering "Gods," "saint cloth," "Saint Seiya," or the "Jamir Clan."
Secondly, Yi Xin's Cosmo Power has only just begun to Awaken, and Yi Xin is not a Saint Seiya after all. Furthermore, the ultimate Little Universe is the Seventh Sense.
Thirdly, the Seventh Sense in Saint Seiya is Manas-vijnana, and the Eighth Sense, Alaya-vijnana, above it is already at the level of a true Buddha in Buddhism or a true Immortal in Taoism. Thus, the Seventh Sense is a half-Buddha, half-Immortal, referred to as a demigod in Greece. The Seventh Sense is the Gold Saint.
As for the Eighth Sense, Ninth Sense, and so on, those are matters for later discussion and will not be considered for now.
Moreover, orthodox sequels will not have a Ninth Sense; the Eighth Sense is the peak.
The subsequent Ninth Sense, Tenth Sense, and even the power of the Great Universe: Ω, Ultimate Power, and other such existences, are all derivative fan works authorized by the author of Saint Seiya.
The information states: In Saint Seiya G·A, a work authorized by Kurumada, the opposing Pope Aiolos of a certain parallel world awakened the Ninth Sense. This setting has not yet appeared in the original manga.
Furthermore, the power level is related to the world level. Destructive power and concepts are also determined by the world level.
If a level 1 world can destroy a planet with one move, throwing it into a level 2 or level 3 world, perhaps that same move might only destroy a mountain?
With the Little Universe setting, if you throw someone of the same level into the Primordial World and compare them to someone of the same level there, can they make a splash? This is the difference in world levels!
Moreover, the Primordial World itself has multiple versions...
Don't rigidly adhere to one setting... How long have people argued about who is stronger, Dragon Ball or Saitama, with neither side conceding? And what about who is more powerful, Naruto or One Piece...
Leaving aside battle and hot-blooded anime, aren't the "power ceiling" slice-of-life anime strong? These are all setting issues...
Extracting the system and concept is enough... Comparing other things is truly meaningless.
Everyone can boast when comparing settings! It truly is meaningless...
If I ask you to solve a problem, you only know how to apply examples and formulas. If the variable changes and it's no longer an example, you won't know how to do it.
If it's about applying a setting, then as long as it's not too outrageous and doesn't deviate completely from the basic concept, the setting doesn't have a big problem.
It's like Cosmo Power not being able to use Bankai... that's a basic conceptual issue...
The above is not directed at anyone, but merely serves as an explanatory statement. It is also just some of the author's own understanding. If there are indeed errors, I will correct them. If I cannot, then so be it.
Still, the same saying: all settings are subject to this book. (It seems I'll have to add this sentence to the synopsis from now on.)
Nine hundred words of rambling, this chapter will be three thousand five hundred words long.
As Clarissa flew, a terrifying "pressure" suddenly descended upon her.
"Ugh..." Clarissa frowned slightly, feeling immense pressure, so much so that she couldn't even maintain flight and fell to The Ground.
She was in her normal state at this time. With her current strength, flying was naturally an easy task and did not require Dragonkin Form.
Clarissa looked up at the sky, and the entire sky suddenly darkened.
Countless dark clouds rolled in, and then, a large opening tore through the center of the dark clouds. Lightning flashed and thunder roared, and a brilliant white light shone as a person slowly descended from within.
The person's hair was white-blue, with a lightning mark on their brow. They were shirtless, revealing their strong muscles, and wore long pants, barefoot.
He was a God who commanded the "Thunder" and "Perception" Power.
"Why have you trespassed into my territory?" This "God" frowned and "looked" at Clarissa, speaking with his eyes closed.
He carefully sensed Clarissa's "aura." With the "Perception" Power, he could clearly feel the scent of disaster and death emanating from Clarissa's body.
Is the newcomer's Power "Disaster" and "Death"? These are two extremely powerful Powers... and they don't seem to be fragmented Powers. This "God's" brow furrowed slightly, and he felt a hint of apprehension towards Clarissa.
To command Powers of this caliber, Clarissa's strength must not be underestimated.
However, he commanded "Thunder" and "Perception," coupled with his own divine power, so even against Clarissa, he felt no fear.
Power is one thing, and the God's own divine power is another.
Power is the foundation, and divine power is the accelerant; divine power can enhance the effect of Power.
Even if this "God" wasn't afraid, he didn't want to fight without reason. After all, once a fight started, it could be a battle to the death. If the other party had simply entered his territory unintentionally, or had some other matter, he wouldn't mind having a good talk.
Unless absolutely necessary, he did not want to clash with Clarissa.
"What kind of God are you?" Clarissa asked the other party, not rushing into battle, preferring to gather more information.
"I am the Thunder God!" The Thunder God said, "Are you... the God of Disaster and Death?"
"Uh... that's right!" Clarissa was stunned for a moment when she heard the Thunder God's words, then thought of her own power. It seemed she had been misunderstood by the other party. Hey! Perfect!
"I wonder where your strength ranks among the Gods?" Clarissa asked.
"......" The Thunder God fell silent for a moment. The other party asking this, and approaching so abruptly, could it be a "Warrior God," the kind who likes to fight...
Among the Gods, there were many such deities, and the Thunder God had heard of quite a few. He never expected that one day, he would also be sought out...
"I estimate I can rank in the top fifty..." The Thunder God dared not boast and gave a moderate ranking. His own strength was not bad, so he naturally couldn't say too low, as the other party wasn't foolish either.
And Gods are not known for their good temper. While "Warrior Gods" possess such Power, the term "Warrior God" is generally an "appellation" given by the Gods, and those who earn it are certainly not weak.
After all, the weak ones would have been eliminated when they sought out trouble.
Those who have survived until now are definitely not weak!
What's more, the Thunder God felt Clarissa's power of disaster and death, coupled with the "Warrior God"... she was definitely an extremely troublesome opponent!
His top fifty... surely he wouldn't be targeted by an existence of this caliber?
Although the Thunder God had not heard of Clarissa's name... it didn't matter, because there were simply too many Gods. The Thunder God himself would be doing well to know a fifth of them.
Not to mention the countless Gods, some with complete Powers, some with multiple Powers, some with incomplete Powers... Gods of the same Power, higher and lower-level Powers... a whole host of Gods.
As mentioned before, in the world of Gods, Power is not unique.
"Top fifty, huh..." Clarissa nodded, "There should be a lot of source points... I wonder if I'll have a chance to upgrade this time..."
"?" The Thunder God listened to Clarissa's words with a puzzled expression.
Clarissa placed a hand on her sword.
The Thunder God's expression immediately changed. He "perceived" Clarissa's killing intent.
This battle was inevitable!
Lightning burst forth from the Thunder God's body, as he foresaw Clarissa's attack.
Clang!
Clarissa's sword was drawn from her waist. With one slash, the world darkened, and sword light flashed, transforming into a long rainbow streaking across the sky.
Clang! The Thunder God condensed a Sword of Thunder and struck it in front of him.
A terrifying force emanated from the sword, and the Thunder God was pushed back a step before stabilizing in the air.
The Thunder God frowned slightly, "Why is this power so weak!"
The Thunder God felt that the power of Clarissa's sword was truly a bit weak.
Of course, he felt it was weak because the Thunder God had greatly "overestimated" Clarissa, which made it seem weak to him.
Clarissa was in her normal state now, and this sword strike only used the Star Sword Technique, an attack infused with Star Power. To put it plainly, it was a normal attack.
"Are you also a swordsman?" Clarissa looked at the Sword of Thunder in the Thunder God's hand. The weapon he condensed first must be his usual method, right?
"I am the embodiment of Thunder!" The Thunder God replied with a seemingly nonsensical statement. The Sword of Thunder in his hand suddenly transformed into a Lightning Spear, which he then threw fiercely towards Clarissa.
Sizzle! The Lightning Spear trailed a tail of lightning, rushing towards Clarissa at supersonic speed.
The Lightning Spear tore through space and firmly locked onto Clarissa.
At this level, many attacks are difficult to evade.
Most of the time, it's a direct clash of raw strength!
A massive black pillar of fire rose from Clarissa's sword.
Exploding Dragon Flame Slash
Clarissa slammed her sword into the Lightning Spear.
The Lightning Spear pressed firmly against the pillar of fire, unable to advance an inch.
After a brief stalemate, the mutual energy penetration led to instability, triggering an explosion.
Boom!!!
Terrifying energy turbulence erupted.
Black spatial rifts exploded open in the space where the two had made contact.
The Ground beneath them was rapidly disintegrated as if annihilated, and the surrounding environment also suffered a terrible fate.
Although their battle was in the air, the power unleashed was too immense. Even The Ground hundreds of meters below could not escape disaster.
A giant crater appeared. The surrounding mountains, rock walls, etc., were either completely annihilated and disappeared or had parts missing.
Immediately after, a terrifying power erupted from Clarissa's body.
Dragonkin Form
"Unleashing your Power?" The Thunder God looked at Clarissa's transformation, frowning slightly. It seemed quite different from what he had expected. And although she became much stronger after unleashing her Power, she did indeed carry the power of disaster and death.
But she wasn't as strong as he had "overestimated"... not even enough to force him to unleash his Power.
So, she was just for show! He had worried for nothing! The Thunder God relaxed slightly. He couldn't help it; top-tier Powers like disaster and death truly made him a bit afraid.
Top-tier Powers like death, time, space, life, destruction, etc., are incredibly powerful.
As the Thunder God, possessing the mid-tier "Thunder" Power and the lower-tier "Perception" Power, he naturally knew how terrifying top-tier Powers truly were.
"Hahaha!" The Thunder God, relieved, immediately became extremely "arrogant," laughing loudly as lightning transformed into armor, enveloping his body.
Clad in lightning armor and wielding a lightning spear, he looked majestic and formidable.
Especially when he thought of killing Clarissa and seizing the Power of disaster and death from her, even if he only obtained fragments, it would be a huge improvement for him!
With one thought, the Thunder God actively launched an attack towards Clarissa.
The Thunder God transformed into lightning, flashing through the air like a streak of electricity.
In an instant, he appeared before Clarissa, thrusting his long spear fiercely at her.
Clarissa showed no fear and met the attack with her sword.
The power of disaster and death, along with Star Power, converged on her sword. At the same time, Star Sword Intent was contained within it.
The two clashed.
The terrifying power of lightning and Clarissa's powers of disaster, death, and Star Power mutually consumed each other, while the Star Sword Intent contained within them.
Burst forth, directly impacting the Thunder God's mind, consciousness, and soul.
"What is this power?!" The Thunder God felt the attack of the Star Sword Intent.
This was the first time he had encountered such an attack imbued with "Intent." Fortunately, although Gods do not specifically cultivate in this area.
They themselves are a special collection of wills, and their divine power and Power also provide protection in this regard.
The Star Sword Intent struck the Thunder God, causing his body to sway slightly. The feeling of his consciousness being impacted was not pleasant.
