812: Chapter 812 Hulk Recovery Plan
"Mm-hmm~" Tony shrugged. "These are some of the major powers currently on the surface; there are likely even more lurking in the shadows!"
"Oh right, and there's Kamar-Taj! Our ally, though there's no need to say much about them..." Tony said to everyone as he remembered something.
"True." Peter smiled knowingly.
The Akatsuki Organization and Kamar-Taj had been collaborating very pleasantly.
Thanks to Akatsuki's efficiency and treatment, the two parties could now be described as being as close as lips and teeth.
"These are roughly the powers we need to keep an eye on. As for those without a name or reputation, they're either too small to matter or simply inferior to our Akatsuki. There's no need to care too much; if we offend them, we offend them." Tony curled his lips; Uncle Tony still had some strength.
"Understood!" Peter nodded slightly. Ever since joining the Akatsuki Organization, he was no longer in that "solitary" state.
Honestly, he felt very fulfilled and "happy."
"Hulk escaped." While they were talking, under Akatsuki's surveillance, Hulk escaped the military's encirclement and successfully vanished.
He left behind a trail of wreckage and corpses for the military.
The losses were extremely heavy.
At least ten attack helicopters were blown up, with tanks and armored vehicles numbering about the same, not to mention the soldiers who were treated like cannon fodder.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. has taken action; it seems they're going after Hulk," Tony said to everyone. "Then let's move too! I'm quite interested in Dr. Banner. That ability alone is enough for him to join our Akatsuki Organization! Not to mention Hulk."
"No problem!" Peter and Gwen nodded. The group decided to go find Hulk together.
"Alright, it's settled then. You guys head out!" Clarissa nodded in response, approving the mission.
"Let's go!" Tony said excitedly. After so many days, there was finally some big work to do!
The MK5 he had been developing for a long time could finally make its official debut!
At the thought of his MK5 showing off its great power, Tony felt a surge of excitement.
It had been so long! Finally! His scientific prowess and his strength could be shown to the world!
Hahaha! I! Tony! Am the greatest scientist in the world!
I am Iron Man!!!
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh~ Spider-Man and Female Spider flew out, accompanied by a red and gold mecha.
With Peter's help, Gwen had already developed "Web-shooters" and was determined to become "Ghost-Spider Gwen." Since Peter was Spider-Man, she would be the Female Spider.
The two could be said to be deeply in love.
Polaris, meanwhile, used a flight device customized by Tony to fly as if "riding a sword" through magnetic field manipulation.
It was actually quite cool.
Peter, Gwen, and Polaris all had their own suits. Inside their masks was high-tech equipment; Akatsuki could provide "holographic route guidance," along with various auxiliary functions and enemy detection.
Furthermore, they could communicate directly through an internal channel.
"Let's try to find Dr. Banner first and bring him back. I believe with Akatsuki's treatment and environment, Banner won't refuse!" Tony's voice rang out in the channel.
"I have no objections. Then let's call this mission: Hulk Recovery Plan! What do you guys think?" Peter said to everyone after a "Wahoo!"
"Whatever," Polaris said indifferently.
It didn't matter what the plan was called; the mission remained the same, and the task at hand was unchanged.
The four of them quickly headed towards the destination guided by Akatsuki.
In some unknown corner.
"Cough, cough~" Banner had already transformed back from his Hulk form, still wearing only those "rule-level" boxer briefs.
"Again... it's like this!" Banner looked at his hands with a face full of regret and pain.
A monster... he had turned into a monster! And he had killed so many people!
Hunted by the military, unable to meet his beloved girlfriend.
It was too hard!
He was just an ordinary doctor!
Why did he have to suffer such hardships!
Banner sighed helplessly and looked at his surroundings; he was in a deserted cave.
Let's leave it at this for now... rest for a day, and think of something tomorrow.
Banner looked around, wondering how things were on Mr. Blue's end...
Previously, he had lived under an assumed name, buying only necessities, not socializing, not making friends, and not using his real name. To avoid getting angry, he practiced yoga, breath meditation, and Zen meditation to maintain his state of mind and heart rate.
In his spare time, he conducted experiments with plants and herbs, trying to find a way to suppress gamma radiation.
However, in the end, he was still exposed.
General Ross traced him, and Banner was once again hunted by the military.
He couldn't go on like this!
He had to find Mr. Blue, get the antidote, and see his beloved: Betty.
To achieve this, he first had to resolve his current situation and successfully "sneak" into New York, America.
All of this was too difficult!
He could only take it one step at a time.
Just as Banner was feeling a bit of a headache, his ears picked up some movement.
"Hmm?" Banner immediately hid, alert, and looked outside.
A transport plane resembling a spaceship slowly descended.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh~ Several figures jumped down from it.
The one in the lead looked somewhat familiar to Banner.
Stars and stripes, a shield, and a firm rear...
However, Banner didn't know much about Captain America, nor had he ever seen him in person. Banner lived in the bottom-tier circle of fugitives and had no contact with S.H.I.E.L.D., the Avengers, or the superhero circles; he had never heard of or seen Captain America.
At most, he knew he was a veteran hero from World War II.
These people... seem to be looking for something. Could they be looking for me? Banner was startled. They didn't look like people from the America military.
But no matter who it was, anyone looking for him was definitely after Hulk!
Banner was extremely vigilant and found it hard to trust anyone except Betty.
It couldn't be helped; through his experiences over the years, he had seen and gone through too much.
He couldn't have a shred of trust for outsiders!
This was the main reason he had survived this long without being caught!
Moreover, he was a monster and could easily hurt others.
So, the best thing was to always be alone.
Unless he could successfully obtain the antidote and completely solve the Hulk problem!
If that happened, he should be able to return to a normal person's life.
Unfortunately, Banner's thinking was too... well, idealistic, one might say.
From the moment he became Hulk, there was no longer a way back!
Not to mention America's attitude and style of doing things.
Turned back? Heh~ Thinking everything would be fine once it's gone? He was overthinking it!
One could only say Banner's thoughts were too optimistic.
The team that arrived was, naturally, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Avengers Squad.
Captain America + the Fantastic Four, along with Natasha and Hawkeye, plus a dozen agents assisting in the search.
S.H.I.E.L.D. still had some tricks up its sleeve; through "traces," they finally locked onto this area. The rest was just a matter of searching!
