262: Nomana World Will Request
Clarissa carefully sensed her surroundings, but there seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary, and she didn't detect anything strange.
Logically speaking, if it was the sublimation of the entire world, even if she was the "pioneer" for humanity, the Elf were still living beings of this world, and part of the same world system and power.
This situation shouldn't occur, right...?
"I'm sorry, I didn't feel anything different," Clarissa said, shaking her head helplessly after standing for a moment.
"Is that so..." The Elf Queen sighed with a hint of sadness; they had already "tested" it countless times themselves, and everything was good, better than ever before, by a significant margin.
But what was strange was that the Elf simply couldn't "ascend to the next level" and break through to the next realm.
If this continued for too long, once the Elf fell significantly behind the "world," then elimination would likely be inevitable.
Moreover, if the Elf were to fall from the "pinnacle," then as the weaker party, the Elf might invite countless "disasters."
The Elf clearly understood the true nature of humans.
Everyone coexisted peacefully because of the Elf's strength and power, the backing and foundation brought by their immense power.
Coupled with the Elf's way of life, this created a pure land for the Elf, essentially isolated from the world, with only basic trade interactions and little engagement with humans.
Thinking about the future, the Elf Queen felt a bit troubled.
Although such an event would take at least decades, or even hundreds of years, to happen.
But for humans, it might still be a long time, and taking things one step at a time was fine.
However, for the Elf, who are a long-lived species, a mere few decades or a century is not a very long time for them, which is why the Elf Queen was so anxious.
If they didn't prepare in advance, it would be too late when they were powerless to reverse the situation later.
Just as Clarissa was about to say something more.
Suddenly, her system gave her a prompt: [Norman Ya World Will Request]
Clarissa was stunned for a moment, then clicked to open it. It was the World Will of her world, unable to "directly contact" her, but through the miraculous existence of the system, it conveyed a request for her to help the Elf overcome this difficulty.
Of course, what most tempted Clarissa was the system's prompt: [Request Reward: 10e source points]
10e source points! This was no small sum! She hadn't expected her world to be so generous! It seemed her own people gave more, Clarissa thought.
"In that case, I won't trouble the Venerable One further. I wonder if the Venerable One would be willing to condescend to stay with the Elf for a few days, so we may fulfill our duties as hosts and entertain you properly?" The Elf Queen smiled at Clarissa, as if her previous worries had vanished.
"Then I'll trouble the Queen!" Clarissa nodded in agreement. "Oh, and I will help with this matter to the end. I've had a bit of an idea, and I happen to need to stay here for a while to think of a solution."
Upon hearing Clarissa's words, the Elf Queen's eyes immediately shone with brilliant light, as if a drowning person had seen a lifeline: "Really! Thank you so much! Great Venerable One! You truly are the pioneer of the world! You are indeed worthy of being favored by the world!"
Clarissa listened to the Elf Queen's flattery and smiled helplessly, "I've been a bother these past few days."
"It's no trouble. Since that's the case, and it's getting late, would you like to experience our Elf banquet?" The Elf Queen smiled at Clarissa.
"It would be my honor," Clarissa nodded in response.
Thus, the Elf Queen led Clarissa away from there, sending someone to call back Princess Olinna and Elly, and to prepare a banquet to entertain a distinguished guest!
Along the way, the Elf Queen introduced Clarissa to some of the buildings, fruits, and flowers they encountered.
It had to be said that the Elf's land was truly abundant in resources.
Later, Clarissa and Elly sat together at the guest table of the "banquet," with their plates full of food.
At a glance, no meat was seen.
It was basically all kinds of fruits and vegetables.
However, Clarissa wasn't picky.
Whether she tasted the fruits or vegetables, the flavors were excellent!
Clarissa ate unhurriedly, chatting with the Elf Queen about matters concerning the Elf.
Meanwhile, Elly was gorging herself.
Although they were fruits and vegetables, the flavors were indeed excellent; some were sweet and delicious, while others were crispy and juicy.
Aside from not being "meat dishes," there was nothing to complain about.
"This is our Elf Flower Brew, from the Elf. I wonder if it suits the Venerable One's taste," the Elf Queen said, pouring Clarissa a drink that she called wine, but which emitted a rich, fresh floral scent.
Clarissa picked it up and took a small sip, her eyes lighting up: "The taste is absolutely wonderful!"
Although it was wine, its texture when drunk was like a mixture of flower and fruit juice, not only not jarring but also further enhancing the original flavors, and it contained a rich "intoxicating" life energy.
It could make one unconsciously "immerse themselves" and then "get drunk."
Of course, given Clarissa's physique, "getting drunk" was impossible.
For a time, it felt like home, and under the Elf Queen's intentional guidance, the banquet passed quickly and comfortably.
After eating and drinking their fill, Clarissa saw Elly, who was somewhat unsteady on her feet due to the "Elf Flower Brew."
This was said to be a "wine" that could "knock out" a Legend.
Elly had drunk quite a bit, so naturally, she couldn't resist its effects.
However, this was very beneficial for Elly, and Clarissa wasn't worried about her having too much.
After settling Elly.
The Elf Queen stood up: "If there's nothing else tonight, the Venerable One is welcome to stroll around the Elf territory. I must excuse myself now, as I need to go and pray to the Tree of Life."
"Hmm? Pray? Just you?" Clarissa was surprised to hear the Elf Queen's words and then asked.
"Yes, this is something every successive Elf King has done daily," the Elf Queen nodded slightly.
The Tree of Life is like a "mother" to all Elf, and also their "faith" and "source of power."
The Elf revere nature, but they don't have the concept of "gods," so they don't "pray" to the Tree of Life.
As the Queen of the entire Elf, the Elf Queen prays to the Tree of Life on behalf of the Elf.
So, it's usually sufficient for the Elf Queen to do it herself.
"Oh, I see! Do you mind if I come along? I'll observe from the side," Clarissa said to the Elf Queen.
"Of course not. It's just a simple daily prayer; it's not some secret. It's merely a part of the Elf Queen's daily routine, like three meals a day," the Elf Queen smiled slightly at Clarissa.
"That's good then!" Clarissa smiled and nodded, standing up with the Elf Queen.
She then followed the Elf Queen back to the Tree of Life.
