49: Arriving in the capital, the situation is not optimistic

Clarissa didn't teach for very long; she finished around eleven o'clock and went to rest.

Before sleeping, she checked her source points, which had increased by over sixty thousand. It seemed she had gained quite a few source points today.

These source points were nothing to Clarissa now; even a high-level combat skill would start at one hundred thousand source points.

Upgrading a talent required 200,000 source points, not to mention the 5,000,000 source points needed to upgrade Dragon Blood Warrior.

Clarissa had now grown into a 'big worker' whose source points were measured in tens of thousands.

After all, she was now Tang Ziheng's 'precious treasure'!

Tang Ziheng's gaze lingered on Clarissa more and more.

After all, such diligent workers were rare!

Clarissa was special to Tang Ziheng, not just because she was his first 'worker,' but also due to Clarissa's attitude towards Tang Ziheng.

Clarissa regarded Tang Ziheng as a deity, a loyal divine believer, the fanatical kind.

But workers from other worlds were different; their relationship was more like that of superior and subordinate.

They relied on Tang Ziheng, but they wouldn't have an attitude similar to Clarissa's towards Tang Ziheng.

Reverence was for the system's power, not for anything else.

Therefore, Clarissa was a very special existence to Tang Ziheng.

The next morning, Clarissa woke up.

"My Lady, you're awake!" The two girls who had been waiting outside the tent, previously following the middle-aged man, saw Clarissa come out and quickly offered basins, towels, toothbrushes, and other items for washing.

They considered themselves Clarissa's disciples, and Clarissa was also their savior!

If possible, they wanted to stay by Clarissa's side.

This was also the wish of their father, the middle-aged man from before.

Their father was an adventurer who met their mother during his adventures, then they fell in love... and finally gave birth to them.

However, their mother passed away when they were young due to natural disasters and misfortunes.

They were raised by their father alone, but their father knew nothing but adventuring.

So he took them both on adventures outside, and they naturally followed their father from a young age, embarking on the path of adventure.

Fortunately, they were already teenagers when they adventured, not too old, but not too young either.

They yearned for strength because many times they saw their father covered in wounds while protecting them...

They hoped they could protect their father, who had always cared for and protected them.

And that father's idea was simple: Clarissa had a special identity, a special background, and great strength. If his two daughters could follow Clarissa, their future would be bright. As for him, it didn't matter.

To see his daughters grow so big, as long as they could live well, he would be content.

If his death could secure his two daughters' future, he would definitely die without hesitation.

"Thank you!" Clarissa nodded, accepting the kindness of the two girls.

While washing, Clarissa looked around; everyone else was almost ready.

After Clarissa finished washing, the Guards Captain walked over: "Everyone is ready! We can depart at any time! What do you think, My Lady?"

"Then let's depart! I don't know the way, but you are familiar with it, so just lead the way!" Clarissa said to the Guards Captain.

"Understood!" The Guards Captain nodded and then relayed the order.

"Depart!"

"Are we finally leaving this place?"

"The Royal Capital!"

"I wonder what it's like over there!"

As the caravan moved, everyone began to discuss, clearly nervous and excited about the future.

They all hoped for a bright future.

And not to live in torment, enduring days where they could die at any moment.

Clarissa sat on top of a carriage, looking around.

"Master! Why aren't you sitting inside the carriage?" A girl called out to Clarissa from the carriage.

"The view is better here. You two sit well! Also, you don't need to call me Master!" Clarissa said helplessly.

For some reason, the two girls took advantage of her kindness; once they started calling her Master, they wouldn't change.

She also learned the names of these two girls: Aisha and Aiya.

"Hehe! You taught us swordsmanship, so you are naturally our Master!" Aisha and Aiya giggled, saying that because of Clarissa's easygoing nature and her not firmly refusing, they had the courage to keep calling her Master.

Otherwise, they wouldn't dare.

"Do as you please!" Clarissa shook her head helplessly, not caring: "I am just a passerby! I don't know how long I will stay in this world."

"We know!" Aisha and Aiya understood Clarissa's meaning, but that was another matter. At least, according to Clarissa, she hadn't completed her mission to save the world, and she wouldn't leave until the world crisis was resolved.

During this long period, they hoped to learn more from Clarissa!

The caravan slowly advanced, encountering many monsters along the way, but Clarissa didn't need to act. Ordinary monsters were no match for the adventurers and were easily dealt with.

"According to this route, it will take about five days to reach the Royal Capital!" The Guards Captain said, wiping the fine sweat from his forehead.

Gewo Principality was not very large. Luming Town was near the border of Gewo Principality, but it was only a five-day journey from the Royal Capital.

It was already quite fast; mainly, there were many ordinary people, and the marching speed was slow. Otherwise, the time would be shortened significantly.

Four days later.

Clarissa and the others could finally see the walls of the Royal Capital in the distance.

"The speed is much faster than we imagined! And we've been lucky along the way! We haven't encountered any major monsters!" The Guards Captain said thankfully.

They had encountered many monsters along the way, but most were dealt with by the adventurers. For the few that were stronger or more numerous, Clarissa easily dealt with all of them.

Thus, they arrived outside the Royal Capital without any obstructions.

"Wait..." Clarissa's eyes narrowed slightly. With her terrifying vision, she saw the situation far outside the Royal Capital.

At this moment, the area outside the Royal Capital of Gewo Principality was filled with monsters.

The Royal Capital was under siege by monsters!

Smoke billowed, magic flew wildly, and shouts of battle echoed everywhere.

"The situation in the Royal Capital is not good! Monsters are besieging the city!" Clarissa said with a frown.

"What?!" The Guards Captain was startled and carefully looked into the distance, discovering that there was indeed a situation, with black smoke billowing.

He hadn't paid much attention before, but with Clarissa's reminder, he immediately noticed something was wrong.

"Then... can we still go there?" The Guards Captain swallowed nervously.

He hadn't expected that after traveling so far, they would encounter the Royal Capital under siege by monsters.

If they got too close and the monsters discovered them and attacked... that would be terrible!

"Hmm... you find a place to hide, don't get too close. Don't worry, just protect everyone. I'll go check over there and see if I can resolve it! The Royal Capital definitely cannot fall! These are all our basic territories!" Clarissa said with a serious expression.

The Royal Capital could not fall; this was the starting point of 'saving the world'!

Clarissa didn't have time to find another 'aggregation point' to hold a position elsewhere.
