384: Mixed in again (more)

After wandering for several days, Ally found an open space in a forest, and adapting to local conditions, she cut down trees and established a tribe called “Forest Tribe.”

Ally approached this tribe.

“Who goes there!”

The tribe's lookout warrior immediately discovered Ally, and his shout brought out many warriors stationed in the tribe.

Ally looked at the highly reactive people of the Forest Tribe and quickly shouted, “I’m not here to cause trouble! I’m just a traveler! Or rather, a wanderer!”

This tribe had at least thirty warriors, with a male to female ratio of 8:2.

Then, a burly man wearing a beast-skin apron, bare-chested and barefoot, walked out, and the warriors parted to make way for him.

“I am Leader Qing of the Greenwood Tribe. What tribe do you come from?” Leader Qing asked Ally, looking at her delicate and youthful face, which seemed young. Then, seeing her somewhat slender body, Leader Qing waved his hand, signaling everyone to lower their guard. The warriors of the Greenwood Tribe then returned to their duties.

A few people remained, following behind the leader.

Although Leader Qing had relaxed some of his vigilance, no tribe would easily relax their guard or grant trust to outsiders.

Of course, the degree varied among tribes. For example, the Ming Tribe was small to begin with, and with Maple Leaf’s genuine goodwill, they integrated quickly. Plus, with the presence of “Intellectual Warrior Ying,” both sides got along very well.

However, this current tribe, while much larger than the Ming Tribe and with a much larger population, lacked the presence of an Intellectual Warrior.

“My name is Ally, and I come from the Grosster Empi... uh, tribe.” Ally blurted out, which was typical of the Cross-World Group’s tendency to make things up.

She was mainly inspired by Bai Mo.

When Bai Mo introduced himself, everyone in the Cross-World Group remembered his phrase, “I come from Beiling Academy,” very clearly.

“Someone from another tribe? What are you doing here?!” Leader Qing frowned immediately upon hearing she wasn’t a wanderer but from another tribe. “Besides, I haven’t discovered the existence of any other tribes nearby… How did you get here?”

“Uh… I came out alone, you can consider me a wanderer, that’s fine,” Ally thought for a moment and said.

“…Did you desert?” Leader Qing pondered for a moment, then frowned at Ally. Even if she wasn’t from his own tribe, deserting a tribe… other tribes wouldn’t look kindly upon it, after all, she even deserted her own tribe.

If other tribes accepted her… who knew if she would desert again? Just deserting would be fine, it would just mean one less person, but the fear was that other troubles might arise!

So Leader Qing’s gaze towards Ally became somewhat off.

“Uh! No, no, I didn’t desert, I just came out alone…” Ally quickly said, clearly aware that “desert” was not a good word.

“You came out alone? Were you looking for resources… and got lost?” Leader Qing thought, if she didn’t desert and came out alone… it was highly probable she got lost.

“Ah! Yes, yes, yes! I just got lost, I can’t find my way back. I’ve been walking for days, and finally found you guys…” Ally thought for a moment and simply made up an excuse.

“Lost… for several days?” Leader Qing listened, and immediately felt a headache. Several days meant a vast area, and she didn’t know the direction at all. He also didn’t ask a foolish question like, “Do you still know the way back?”

After all, the people of this world are “straightforward,” but not “brainless.”

Such idiotic questions would naturally not be asked, and precisely because their thinking is simple, they would be even less likely to ask such questions.

After all, they understand the simple logic that if you can’t find it, you can’t go back.

“It’s fortunate you survived to reach here, not killed by wild beasts on the way.” Leader Qing looked at Ally’s tender face and sighed, she was still just a “child”!

“Since that’s the case, come in for now. I can shelter you for a period, and I can also have people, when they go out, if they encounter people from other tribes, help you inquire about that… that…”

“Grosster Tribe!” Ally interjected.

“Right! They will help you inquire about your tribe’s news! We’ll try to help you find your way home as soon as possible,” Leader Qing told Ally.

Leader Qing also wondered why there would be such an unpronounceable tribe name!

“Mm-hmm! Thank you, Leader Qing!” Ally said gratefully, though you’ll never find them!

Because the Grosster Tribe simply doesn’t exist! Only the Grosster Empire exists! And it’s not even in this world!

“Alright, then come in for now!” Leader Qing nodded and said to Ally.

Ally smiled sweetly at Leader Qing, then followed behind, smiling and nodding to the other people in the tribe along the way, showing her goodwill.

It must be said, with “past experience.”

It was truly too easy for Ally, this “learner from experience,” to blend into a tribe.

Or rather, most “tribes” in this world are still very willing to offer a helping hand.

Of course, from Maple Leaf’s “live broadcast,” everyone also learned that not all tribes are like this; one can only say most are.

Moreover, a tribe can help you find “people” and “send you home.”

But generally speaking, they won’t readily “accept” you as a member; becoming a member requires a lot of effort to earn everyone’s complete recognition!

Not only that, but some tribes also “plunder” other tribes, including resources, women, etc.

Such tribes are not many, but also not few.

They are called “Plundering Tribes” by other tribes.

These tribes are skilled at plundering, robbing, and strengthening themselves, even selling “people,” such as women, young and strong laborers, resources, and so on.

In short, it’s also a kind of alternative business, just a bloody one.

These tribes are basically all warriors, and their martial prowess is fierce, with strong combat power.

And they usually launch “swarm attacks.”

They choose to launch surprise attacks when most of the other tribe’s warriors are “out” hunting or seeking resources.

In the beginning, most tribes didn’t have the concept of “staying behind,” and it was due to the emergence of these tribes, that is, when the “first one to have crooked ideas” began.

Slowly, the idea of “stationing” began to emerge, not only to protect the tribe from harassment and attacks by wild beasts, but most importantly, to guard against these Plundering Tribes.

Of course, in most cases… if a Plundering Tribe makes a move, they are highly likely to succeed.

And those warriors returning from “hunting” would lose their homes overnight.

Painful wails!

They would become wanderers.

This is also why other tribes are more likely to accept these warriors who have lost their homes.

One reason is that most of these wanderers are experienced warriors, whether in combat or hunting.

Secondly, they were forced to lose their homes, so integrating into another home is relatively easy.

Time is the best healer.

When they re-belong to a “home,” have bonds, and a sense of belonging.

Afterward, they will naturally value this home even more, not wanting to lose it again.

There are also those who become “disheartened,” drifting everywhere, and eventually losing their lives at some unknown time, ending their existence.
