302: Human Unity Project

The Evolutionaries who were clearing the battlefield and continuously collecting the evolution crystals did not “line their own pockets”; instead, they collected them and handed them over for unified distribution and management.

Moreover, they all knew that the vast majority belonged to Lin Ze.

They also knew that such minimal losses were thanks to Lin Ze’s intervention.

It should be noted that their relatives were in the city, and Lin Ze had, in essence, saved them.

Everyone knew that Zhuhai City was fortunate because Lin Ze was there, but other survivor bases were not so lucky!

They should be able to hold on, but the losses are estimated to be significant!

“Are you okay?” Lin Zhi found Lin Ze, and although she knew Lin Ze would be fine, she couldn’t help but ask.

“I’m fine, these monsters can’t hurt me…” Lin Ze shook his head slightly, saying, He didn’t expect this monster siege to be resolved so easily? He had thought some powerful monsters would appear…

As it turned out, there weren’t any…

Even without him, the survivor base should have been able to hold on, but the casualties would have been heavy.

This should be a “test” or “warning” from the God behind the scenes, Lin Ze thought silently.

Thinking of the God behind the scenes, a surge of anger rose in Lin Ze’s heart.

Humans were like ants, wantonly manipulated by him, and even much of everything was controlled… He was caught in it and naturally couldn’t avoid it, which made Lin Ze feel extremely angry and dissatisfied.

It was time to act! Lin Ze thought.

“You… hello! Mr. Lin Ze!” An Evolutionary found Lin Ze, and when he saw Lin Ze’s gaze, he immediately became nervous, as if meeting someone of very high status, much like a student reporting to a teacher…

“I… I am the captain of the First Evolutionary Squad! Um, thank you very much for your help today! For everything you’ve done for us! Our leader wants to meet you! We hope you can grace us with your presence!” The captain finished speaking nervously.

“Hmm, coincidentally, I also want to meet your leader, lead the way!” Lin Ze nodded and readily agreed.

“Yes!” The captain suddenly stood at attention, puffed out his chest, and shouted loudly, then turned around meticulously and led the way.

“Let’s go,” Lin Ze said to Lin Zhi.

“Okay.” Lin Zhi nodded, obediently following by Lin Ze’s side.

The captain led Lin Ze and Lin Zhi to an unassuming house.

“The leader is inside,” the captain said to Lin Ze.

“Alright.” Lin Ze nodded; he could sense many Evolutionaries nearby, not ambushing him, of course, but protecting the leader.

Lin Ze led Lin Zhi inside.

As soon as they entered, they saw a middle-aged man, about thirty years old, looking very sharp and capable, sitting there. Without a word, Lin Ze could feel the aura of a high-ranking person from him.

When the other party saw Lin Ze enter, he immediately stood up, and a smile appeared on his calm face: “Mr. Lin Ze! Thank you very much for your help to Zhuhai City! I am the person in charge of Zhuhai City, my name is Zhang Jin, and everyone affectionately calls me City Lord or Leader.”

“Hello! Let’s not waste time with pleasantries; I’m not here for you to express your gratitude to me.” Lin Ze shook his head slightly and said very directly: “I’m here to discuss something with you.”

“Please sit and talk!” Zhang Jin made a welcoming gesture. There was no one else around; only the three of them were in the entire room.

“Should I go out for a walk?” Lin Zhi looked at Lin Ze.

“No need, stay seated,” Lin Ze said, shaking his head slightly, then sat down and said to Zhang Jin: “First, everything I am about to say has a truthfulness of over 80%. I have my own sources of information, so please don’t ask too many questions.

Today’s monster siege was not an accident. I don’t need to say much about the previous tremor; I presume you all felt it.

From today onwards, the monsters will only get stronger and stronger, and even the weakest of those zombies and zombie dogs will become much, much stronger. We humans should unite!

Instead of the current regional division, this world is a God’s game. The changes of the apocalypse are due to the existence of a mastermind behind the scenes!”

Zhang Jin listened to Lin Ze’s words and opened his mouth. Lin Ze’s words clearly had a significant impact on him.

Although they also had many conjectures, since the apocalypse had already arrived, coupled with a host of other things—Evolutionaries, monsters… no one had the “leisure” to delve deeply into this aspect, because it was meaningless.

After all, everyone was struggling to survive; who had the leisure to think about such things?

And Lin Ze’s words were clearly “confirmed,” and coupled with Lin Ze’s strength, there was indeed no need for him to lie to them in this regard.

“You mean…?” Zhang Jin looked at Lin Ze.

“I have holographic video communicators here. I plan to visit every base to initially establish a bridge of communication among everyone, laying a foundation for future alliances,” Lin Ze said to Zhang Jin.

Zhang Jin looked at Lin Ze and nodded: “I have no problem with that!”

Lin Ze had helped Zhuhai City overcome a crisis; this request was nothing.

“This is a life-and-death battle for the survival of the human race, and it’s a protracted war… It concerns the existence or non-existence of our world’s civilization… Moreover, it’s a war between us humans and the ‘God’ behind the scenes!” Lin Ze said to Zhang Jin: “Fortunately, although the God behind the scenes is powerful, he seems to be limited by rules. This game will operate within the rules! Then, we have many areas where we can maneuver!

I need everyone to unite. The concentrated will of humanity will exceed your and my imagination!

I need all humanity to stand united and gather the strength of all mankind!”

“I can guarantee that Zhuhai City has no objections! We fully support it!” Zhang Jin said earnestly to Lin Ze: “I believe you, and I will fully support you!”

Although there wasn’t much contact or understanding, Zhang Jin’s heart and sixth sense simply believed what Lin Ze said and believed in Lin Ze as a person.

Moreover, with Lin Ze stating it so clearly, Zhang Jin already had some conjectures in this regard, but there had been no opportunity or conditions to “verify” them. However, with Lin Ze saying this now, that conjecture is likely true nine times out of ten.

With preliminary cooperation and trust established, the next step was to discuss the specific details.

With the first support from the City Lord of Zhuhai City, what Lin Ze wanted to do had a good start.

Lin Ze only had a preliminary idea, but now that Zhang Jin had joined in, this idea would continue to unfold and become more detailed in their hands.

Although what Lin Ze said was somewhat unbelievable, it also made some sense.

Coupled with the changes in the monsters outside and the increasingly frequent attacks in the following days,

Including many aspects of things, there was a sense of reasonableness, yet it also seemed to be targeting “humans.”

This made Zhang Jin increasingly believe what Lin Ze said.

Thus, the trust between them naturally deepened.

Moreover, this concerned the fate and survival of all humanity!

Zhang Jin reaching this point meant he was not a benevolent person himself, but this was a necessary quality. Not being benevolent did not mean he was not a good leader. On the contrary, he was deeply concerned about humanity. This was a matter of the survival of a race, a civilization.

They would no longer be fighting for individuals.

The shift in goals and ideology, starting from the leaders, influenced the people below.

This news was also intentionally released and guided.

Lin Ze, on the other hand, left Zhuhai City and, according to his previous plan, would visit all survivor bases.

Humanity must unite!

This day was later referred to by future generations as: The launch day of the “Humanity Unification Project”!
