18: Tang Ziheng: If you do this, I will become a profiteer

Now, we need to talk about another worldview: Secret Realms!

Secret Realms are products of the world's rules (perhaps); no one knows when or where they appear, as their emergence is entirely random.

Secret Realms bring more than just resources.

Secret Realms themselves are dangerous; the higher the Secret Realm's level, the greater the danger. Of course, this also means better resources.

At the same time, Secret Realms are divided into several categories. One type is the conventional resource Secret Realm, where all resources have guardians.

Successfully challenging them allows one to acquire resources.

The second type is the Invasion Secret Realm, which actively invades the world. This is considered a more dangerous type of Secret Realm that needs to be destroyed or sealed.

The third type is the Special Secret Realm, which is mostly "rule-based." Once completed, it can consistently produce a certain amount of resources.

Secret Realms are also divided into three types: Permanent, Timed, and One-time.

Permanent, as the name suggests, exist forever. Timed exist for a certain period, and One-time Secret Realms are just that—once they close, they won't reopen.

What countries fight over are Secret Realms!

Secret Realm = Resources.

Since ancient times, resources have been the biggest source of war.

From a certain perspective, Secret Realms can be completely understood as dungeons in a game, which makes them easier to grasp.

"North Mausoleum is pretty good! Its permanent resource Secret Realms are Ice-type and Lightning-type, producing abundant resources of these two types. It's perfect for us, one Lightning-type and one Ice-type," Wen Yu said to Bai Mo. "By then, who knows, we might become the Ice-Lightning Duo!"

"I'd rather be a Bonnie and Clyde!" Bai Mo rolled his eyes speechlessly upon hearing the title "Ice-Lightning Duo."

"Hahaha~" Wen Yu chuckled, "We're not stealing anything!"

"But 'Ice-Lightning Duo' sounds terrible!" Bai Mo complained.

"Oh, come on! It's just the idea! Blech~ blech~" Wen Yu stuck out her tongue at Bai Mo provocatively.

Bai Mo looked at her small, pink tongue, then turned his head away, a slightly inappropriate thought crossing his mind.

"Wen Yu! Bai Mo! Congratulations! You've been admitted to Beiling Academy!" At this moment, the homeroom teacher walked over, smiling, holding two admission letters.

He was proud to have two students in his class who could enter an academy like Beiling Academy!

Whoosh! The surrounding students burst into an uproar, looking enviously at Bai Mo.

They knew about Wen Yu; she was definitely choosing between North Mausoleum and South Hua.

But Bai Mo could also get into North Mausoleum! Could he be entering the liberal arts class?

Even if it was the liberal arts class, it was still Beiling Academy!

How could everyone not be envious?

"Congratulations, everyone!" The homeroom teacher led the applause, and everyone followed suit, celebrating.

"Thank you, everyone!" Wen Yu smiled and nodded to the surrounding students.

The homeroom teacher handed the two admission letters to Wen Yu and Bai Mo.

Bai Mo took it and looked—good heavens! Combat Class 1?

Bai Mo was a bit dumbfounded. He could get into Combat Class? If it was after getting the newbie gift package, he could understand getting into Combat Class, but his current profile was double C!

Even if he could get into Combat Class, at most he'd be in a bottom-tier class. How could he get into Combat Class 1, which was at least double A?!

North Mausoleum's Combat Class 1 was a true genius class! Moreover, the resource allocation was different!

In other words, for someone of his level to enter Combat Class 1 and enjoy its resources... it would be strange if he didn't attract envy!

Was this Combat Class 1 a place he could enter? Bai Mo strongly suspected there must be something wrong!

There was no such thing as a free lunch in this world! Bai Mo didn't believe in freebies.

If it was free, there must be an ulterior motive.

Wen Yu, standing beside him, saw that Bai Mo was also in Combat Class 1 and frowned instantly. Although she was happy to be in the same class as him,

it was clear that Beiling Academy's action was a well-intentioned mistake! Of course, it could also be intentional.

Did they want Bai Mo to be under pressure and withdraw gracefully? Or affect their relationship...? Many conspiracy theories immediately arose in Wen Yu's mind.

But no matter what, Wen Yu decided that she would definitely protect Bai Mo well when the time came.

Are you kidding me? Who was she? The Wen family's princess, a super genius with double S-rank talent! Let's see who dares to cause trouble! The Wen family head was as obedient as a father in front of her.

To exaggerate a bit, even one of the Dragon Kingdom's National Guardians "flattered" her.

"Did you do it?" Bai Mo's thoughts spun, and he naturally thought of Wen Yu.

Such "abruptness" could only be achieved by Wen Yu, and only Wen Yu would do such a "thankless" thing for him.

"Hmm... I probably had an influence... I didn't expect Beiling Academy to directly arrange you into Class 1... But Bai Mo, you don't need to worry about anything else. Just use Class 1's resources and work hard! I believe in you!" Wen Yu said to Bai Mo.

"Okay! Alright!" Bai Mo nodded, accepting it readily and calmly, without any messy situations like his self-esteem being hurt.

Moreover, with the system as his backing, Bai Mo believed he wouldn't let Wen Yu down.

As for what others thought? Who cared! Who dared to say anything in front of him? Bai Mo certainly wouldn't bother with it behind the scenes.

Out of sight, out of mind! Bai Mo was too lazy to care about others.

"Hehe~ That's good!" Wen Yu looked at Bai Mo, who didn't seem to care about this matter, and immediately smiled happily.

She had been worried that Bai Mo might have some objections, but thankfully, Bai Mo was still Bai Mo! He truly was the man she favored!

Wen Yu and Bai Mo were preparing for university, and the class monitor also suggested a graduation party.

Wen Yu and Bai Mo knew that they would be the "main characters" at this graduation party and couldn't escape it.

So they readily agreed.

After this farewell, everyone would go to different universities, possibly meet more friends, form their own teams, fight in Secret Realms, and perhaps some would even join the army...

Everyone's life trajectory would undergo tremendous changes at the Blade Spirit Awakening Ceremony.

...

Tang Ziheng watched Bai Mo from behind, his expression complex.

Good heavens! Even without the system, you'd be a "protagonist," wouldn't you?!

Now with the system, you're the protagonist among protagonists... This made Tang Ziheng "jealous"!

He decided to be a profiteer with Bai Mo to compensate for his wounded heart!

It seemed there would be no "kickbacks" for Bai Mo's Blade Spirit World for now.

Tang Ziheng then shifted his gaze to Lin Ze in the Apocalypse World, only to find that Lin Ze also seemed to be part of a "pair."

Well, well! In the end, it was still the "initial" Clarissa who "loved" him the most, as lonely as he was! He decided! He would give her more benefits! Tang Ziheng gave Clarissa a thumbs up.

As for now... there were only three "channels" in total, so he'd just switch between them to watch~ Tang Ziheng was quite content.

With more "genres," he wasn't as bored.

It was a pity he didn't have a physical body; otherwise, with some popcorn and ice-cold soda, it would be absolutely heavenly.

...

Apocalypse World.

Lin Ze and Lin Zhi found a suitable temporary hiding place: a suburban villa.

Outside, there was a wall + iron fence, tall enough to prevent many monsters from climbing in.

And there were front and back yards. The villa had three floors, so the space was large.

It was easy to defend and hard to attack, and the terrain advantage made it convenient to maneuver.

The downside was that the terrain outside the villa was relatively open. If the villa was breached and they ran out, if the enemies were fast, they might be caught on the flat terrain...

"Let's stay here for now! We'll search it!" Lin Ze climbed over the wall to get in, as the main gate was locked.

Lin Ze easily leaped onto the three-meter-high wall, turned to look at Lin Zhi, then bent down and reached out, pulling Lin Zhi up from below.

Lin Zhi couldn't help but smile slightly, trying to hold back her laughter, but she really couldn't.

Luckily, Lin Ze wasn't looking at her.

"You wait here for a moment. I'll go down and check the situation. Be careful yourself," Lin Ze said to Lin Zhi.

"Okay!" Lin Zhi nodded obediently, watching Lin Ze jump directly into the courtyard.

Lin Ze, with his skill and daring, lightly approached the villa's French windows and looked inside.

The living room looked very quiet, with no creatures present.

The furniture was a bit messy, though, as if someone had been there.

Lin Ze raised his hand and waved to Lin Zhi, signaling that she could come down.

Lin Zhi immediately jumped down from the wall.

However, because of her backpack,

when she landed, the weight was a bit much, and her body was somewhat unbalanced, causing her to stumble and fall to the ground.

"Hehe~" Lin Zhi, covered in dirt, looked up at the speechless Lin Ze, gave a silly laugh, quickly scrambled to her feet, casually patted herself down, and then crouched low to approach Lin Ze.

Lin Ze pushed the main door and found it wasn't closed, so he could just push it open.

Lin Ze entered the first floor of the villa.

"So beautiful!" Lin Zhi followed him in, looking around. Although it was a bit messy, it was indeed very high-class!

It was surprising that no one had come to this place!

"We'll search the entire villa..." Lin Ze said to Lin Zhi, "But just in case there are any hidden monsters, stay behind me, but don't follow too closely."

"Okay!" Lin Zhi nodded in agreement.
