47: Arrival in Another World

These "world backgrounds" were all "stuffed" into Clarissa's mind when she "transmigrated."

"So this is what kind of world it is!" Clarissa learned about the current situation of this world.

With a flash of white light, an dark-red "Netherflame" high-tier elemental armor appeared on her, and a "Rupture" high-tier elemental knight sword hung at her waist.

She looked majestic and imposing.

Clarissa was currently on a small hill outside a village.

"Awoo!"

"Roar!"

A cacophony of noise reached her ears.

Clarissa turned her head and saw that the village was currently being invaded by monsters.

God sent her to save the world, and these monsters were the targets that must be eliminated!

Clarissa did not hesitate in the slightest and immediately rushed towards the village.

"Kill these damned monsters!"

"Protect the elderly and children!"

The scene was extremely chaotic.

Militiamen and adventurers jointly resisted the monster invasion, while ordinary people gathered together, praying for those fighting.

There was no escape; monsters were everywhere outside.

"No way! Captain! If this continues, we won't be able to hold on!" A soldier watched as everyone was beaten back, step by step. Although the adventurers were trying very hard, the number of monsters was simply too many!

"Even if we can't hold on, we must!" The Captain wiped the blood from his face and roared, holding a long spear and piercing a Goblin in front of him, flinging its corpse away.

If they were breached, this place would immediately fall into a living hell.

It would be bad enough if others were killed... but the worst would be those women... it would be too horrible to contemplate.

"Oh God! Why do you make us suffer such a calamity! I beg you, send down divine punishment! Annihilate all these monsters!" An old man knelt trembling on the ground, tears streaming down his face.

This world also had Gods, but... with the Ancient Demon God's revival, plus some other reasons, the Gods were either dead, injured, in slumber, or sealed...

Moreover, the Gods of this world were not representatives of absolute power; even Gods could be slain. Most Gods possessed certain authorities or symbols.

This also led to many Gods walking among humans, known to the world, and some even "disgraced" by the world.

For example, some drunkard Gods, or Gods who were always in debt... Aside from living long and possessing some special abilities, they were not much different from humans.

Clang! Clang!

Suddenly, sounds of swords clanging arose.

White light flickered.

Everyone saw many monsters in the distance flying up with blood.

A dark-red figure rapidly approached.

[Whirlwind Sword]

Clarissa flashed past, and dozens of monsters along the way erupted with fatal wounds, blood gushing out, "Puff"! The monsters fell in response.

Clarissa swept her gaze around.

[Sword Wave]

Like a blooming flower, sword qi gushed out in all directions.

Puff, puff, puff!

The powerful sword qi cleared out everything within dozens of meters around her.

Blood and body fragments rained down from the sky, like a rain of hell.

However, this terrifying scene, in the eyes of the villagers, was hope! It was light!

"Is it God's Messenger! God has finally taken pity on us!" The old man looked excitedly at Clarissa in the bloody rain, a faint light glowing around her, the blood rain not touching her.

The Guards and adventurers looked at Clarissa, all becoming excited.

With such a powerful person helping, this village was saved!

Clarissa, with one person and one sword, slaughtered the monsters, going in and out seven times.

With Clarissa's power as a Radiant Sun Knight, these monsters were not very powerful. Although there were many of them, it was only a matter of time before they were all killed.

The monsters looked at Clarissa, who was like a Demon God, and scattered in fear.

Clarissa alone killed nearly half of the monsters.

Clarissa looked at the monsters that had already fled and did not pursue them.

The battle ended.

"My Lady! Thank you for your help!" The Captain, slightly out of breath, came before Clarissa and bowed respectfully to her.

"You're welcome! This is my duty!" Clarissa nodded slightly.

"Are you God's Messenger?" The old man walked over, leaning on his cane, and said excitedly to Clarissa.

"Oh? Old man, how did you know?" Clarissa looked at him in surprise.

!!!

The Captain and adventurers all looked at Clarissa in surprise.

They initially didn't think Clarissa was any God's Messenger, after all, with Gods gone, how could there be any God's Messenger?

They thought Clarissa was a hero, but it turned out she really was God's Messenger?

"Messenger! Thank you for your help! We are willing to become followers of God! Please tell us the name of God!" The villagers, upon hearing this, all knelt on the ground, and the old man looked at Clarissa, speaking with excitement.

"Uh... please get up first! Hurry up, get up, you don't have to do this!" Clarissa quickly said, stepping forward to help the old man up: "My God is called: System God! God sensed that the world was in trouble, and specially sent me here!"

"That's great! With God's help! We will surely be saved!" The villagers believed her without doubt and said excitedly.

But unlike the "ignorant" commoners, the adventurers frowned slightly.

They had never heard of this God, and with all Gods gone now, how could such a so-called God's Messenger suddenly appear?

"Forgive my presumptuousness! I have never heard of the System God..." An adventurer in armor, holding a great axe, spoke. He seemed respectful, but his words were clearly questioning.

"God is not a God of your world! But your world pleaded for help to my God, and God, pitying the world's plight, specially sent me here!" Clarissa said calmly.

The adventurers listened to Clarissa's words, each frowning slightly, clearly not quite believing what Clarissa said, but Clarissa's strength was indeed very powerful, so they didn't say much more.

"Can someone tell me about the situation of this world?" Clarissa asked.

"I'll tell you! The rest of you clean up the battlefield!" The Guards Captain said.

"Yes!" The soldiers all responded, and together with the villagers, began to clean up the battlefield.

The adventurers did not leave but gathered nearby, intending to listen carefully.

The Captain saw this and didn't say much, directly starting to explain the current situation to Clarissa: "This is Luming Town in Gewo Principality. As you can see, monsters are rampant, and the whole world is like this.

The Royal Capital can barely take care of itself, let alone us rural towns and villages! Everyone can only barely protect themselves!

But as you saw today, if you hadn't come... we might all have died in this war..."

"Then why don't you leave here and go to the Royal Capital or unite with people from other places...?" Clarissa frowned. The situation was so critical now, why were they still fighting separately?

Wasn't this seeking death? With power so scattered, how could they resist the Ancient Demon God? Not to mention the Ancient Demon God, it's feared that if this continues for another year or two, the Ancient Demon God wouldn't even need to act; these monsters alone would be enough to force all humans to their deaths, right?

"Sigh! We want to! But, to migrate so many people, first there's the issue of supplies, and just on the issue of guards, we wouldn't be able to handle it! And during the migration, in the wilderness, there are many monsters! Coming from all directions, in the wilderness it's not like in the town where we can defend the city. At that time, I fear we would all die on the road!" The Captain said with a bitter smile.

"I see..." Clarissa frowned, this was indeed a big problem.
