149: A little help

Clarissa flew out, transforming into an afterimage.

Dozens of bugs along her path were sliced in half, their disgusting green blood spraying out.

"Hiss!" A fifteen-meter-tall Minotaur-like bug charged at Clarissa, attempting to ram her.

Clarissa casually swung her sword.

Clang!

A sword qi shot out, instantly slaying the giant Minotaur-like bug on the spot.

"So strong!" The human side watched in shock as Clarissa plunged into the battlefield, like she had activated a Musou mode, slaughtering everything in sight and turning the battlefield into a hack-and-slash game.

She killed in swathes.

The most, most, most crucial point was that Clarissa had no weapons or equipment, no mecha, only a single sword, yet she could effortlessly slice through these bugs with just her physical body!

Beep, beep, beep! The officer immediately received a message from the Mars Security Bureau.

"She's an alien?!" The officer looked at the data, staring at Clarissa in shock. The soldiers in the communication channel also heard the officer's exclamation and looked at Clarissa on the battlefield in surprise.

She was even more like a Blue Star native than a Blue Star native! And she was an alien?!

It was no wonder, with such power, she must belong to a very special alien civilization!

Could it be that this alien was actually a super bio-weapon?

"Heavenly Struggle Cross Slash!" Clarissa suddenly unleashed a sword strike.

A transport bug in the distant sky was instantly shredded by the Cross Slash, causing a commotion among the various flying bugs guarding it.

They were clearly "startled" by the sudden attack and the death of the transport bug.

"What a terrifying attack! Was that a spatial weapon just now?!" The officer watched Clarissa simply wave her hand, and the distant transport bug died. That situation was exactly like the spatial weapons they had imagined.

Although things like Earth-Moon orbits and spatial jumps already existed, spatial jumps could only be performed after two nodes were set, and they required extremely high conditions and long preparation times.

Even the fixed-point spatial transport technology, which had already begun to shift from military to civilian use, still couldn't allow them to develop spatial weapons; they were still only at the conceptual stage for spatial weapons.

Currently, the Blue Star civilization's most powerful weapons for interstellar use were lasers and particle weapons.

They had long since transitioned from gunpowder to energy weapons.

Of course, missiles and the like were still in use, and their power and speed had also greatly improved.

Clarissa's "danger level" instantly soared by countless notches the moment she unleashed that sword strike, reaching the highest tier.

That was a spatial weapon that could be used with a mere wave of her hand!

Clarissa repeated the trick, unleashing several more sword strikes, and a few more transport bugs fell. In a short time, half of the Bugs' transport bugs were killed.

And the Bugs' attention immediately shifted to the instigator—Clarissa.

The maddened bugs all charged towards Clarissa; many bugs at the front even immediately turned around, abandoned their combat targets, and attacked Clarissa.

The officer immediately shouted in the channel: "Everyone! Fire support! Hit them hard! Provide the best output environment for our friendly forces!"

Countless volleys of fire continuously landed near Clarissa, killing the bugs attempting to approach her.

At the same time, the mecha squad gathered around Clarissa, intending to form a protective circle around her.

"Clarissa! Please continue to kill those transport bugs!" The officer also rushed to the front line and shouted at Clarissa through the loudspeaker on his combat suit.

He had her data, so he naturally knew Clarissa's name.

"No problem!" Clarissa nodded, then unleashed a few more sword strikes, and the remaining transport bugs also met their demise.

Without transport bugs and without wormholes, then this massive number of bugs would become rootless, without support.

The final result would be their complete annihilation!

Clarissa helped humanity clear out these bugs.

Fortunately, these bugs showed no signs of hiding or fleeing; they all went insane and launched suicidal attacks towards Clarissa.

This saved a lot of trouble and eliminated the need to expend effort on intercepting and searching for fleeing Bugs.

Soon, the entire battle came to an end.

Clarissa saw her source points increase by hundreds of thousands, clearly a good reward. Although it was little for Clarissa, earning some extra money while traveling was quite nice.

"Thank you for your help!" The officer found Clarissa after the battle.

"You're welcome! It was just a small effort. After all, I'm here for tourism, and these bugs are invaders." Clarissa smiled and said, "I can sense that these bugs only have the instinct to kill."

"Uh, still, thank you for your help! Oh, right! This is my contact information. I see you also have our Blue Star civilization's wristband. If you need anything, feel free to contact me!" The officer said to Clarissa.

"Okay, thank you!" Clarissa smiled, nodded, and recorded the other party's communication number: "There's nothing else here, so I'll be going now."

"Okay! I won't bother you then!" The officer nodded. He truly felt that Clarissa didn't care at all, that she wasn't concerned about her act of assistance.

It was as if it truly was just a small effort.

Seeing Clarissa turn and leave, the officer didn't stop her.

Clarissa returned to Allie's side.

"Alright, it's resolved. Let's go. This place will probably need a good reconstruction." Clarissa smiled and said, "But the city didn't suffer too much damage, so our trip shouldn't be affected much."

"Mm-hmm!" Allie nodded.

At this moment, Clarissa's wristband rang. The Director of the Security Bureau called her.

"Hello!" Clarissa answered the call as she had been taught before.

A hologram projected in front of her, showing the Director. From the background, it looked like he was in his office.

"Hello! Clarissa!" The Director smiled and nodded at Clarissa in greeting.

"Hello! Um... Director? Is that how I address you?" Clarissa thought for a moment and said.

"Ah... That works too! It's just a title, not important!" The Director smiled and said, "Firstly, I'm calling to thank you for your assistance in the recent battle. You provided us with great help and significantly reduced our casualties. Thank you very much!"

"You're welcome! It was just a small effort. Since I'm here for tourism, I'll naturally do what I can!" Clarissa smiled and said.
