789: Chapter 789 The Hierarchical System of the Akatsuki Organization

"Hey! Everyone, I'm back! I successfully got Dr. Connors' notes, and not only that, there's a major discovery! I also got the experimental data and some follow-up progress data," Peter said to everyone while holding a large stack of documents.

"That's really fantastic!" Everyone's faces lit up with joy. They then took the documents from Peter's hands and divided them up, each browsing through their portion.

Aside from Clarissa and Lorna, everyone present was a relevant "scientist" or a super Genius, so naturally, there were no issues with understanding the material.

Soon, they had figured it all out.

However, figuring it out was one thing; putting it into practice was another matter entirely.

"Come on, let's research this. Hmm~ let's develop a serum first to turn this Lizard monster... oh no, I should call him Dr. Lizard, back to normal," Tony said to everyone, looking at the still-bound and despondent Lizard monster.

Based on the notes and research data...

The Osborn Group had skipped clinical trials and seized the research results.

Dr. Connors disagreed, but he had no choice.

Because according to the contract and agreement, everything he did, including the copyrights, belonged to the Osborn Group.

In the end, Connors experimented on himself, both for the final experimental data and for his severed arm.

Perhaps there was also some intention from the Osborn Group behind it.

But no matter what, in the end, it was Dr. Connors who bore the brunt of everything.

His severed arm couldn't wait any longer!

Seeing everyone head to the lab with great enthusiasm...

Clarissa shook her head slightly with a smile, then pondered for a moment, "Once Dr. Connors recovers... should we recruit him into the Akatsuki Organization?"

After all, Dr. Connors is a plot character and a top-tier biological research expert. Moreover, aside from his obsession with his severed arm and the ultimate sigh-inducing outcome, Dr. Connors' own character was quite good, at least in the early stages.

Even after the dust settled in the Late Stage, he wasn't bad either.

"What do you think, Lorna?" Clarissa looked at Lorna beside her.

"Huh? Ah! Oh! Sure!" Lorna was caught off guard by Clarissa's sudden question.

Her brain hadn't quite caught up, stuttering a bit before finally settling on a sentiment that whatever Clarissa said was right and she agreed with it all.

"Clarissa, I don't understand these things, and you're the BOSS, so you decide," Lorna shook her head. She was just a minor member of the organization; she just needed to follow orders.

She didn't want to worry about anything else.

She lived well here, with plenty to eat and drink, and she even got a hundred thousand dollars a month!

This was simply too amazing!

If she saved up some money, she could buy whatever she wanted in the future!

Plus, her own powers gave her enough security, and she had the Akatsuki Organization backing her.

Sigh~ Life was finally getting better!

She had leaped across social classes in one go! She was now one of the elite!

In Lorna's perception, that's how it was.

As for her former companions... sorry, I'm not familiar with them, I don't know them, don't bother me—I'm afraid Clarissa might misunderstand.

Of course, Lorna did actually miss her companions a bit. It had to be said that although times were tough in the past, everyone huddled together for warmth and got along reasonably well on a daily basis.

There was a sense of camaraderie after all.

If possible, taking the Mutants into the Akatsuki Organization to become part of their strength would be fine. Of course, they would likely be external personnel or bottom-tier members.

Of course, these things still had to be decided by Clarissa. Lorna's words carried little weight now, so she'd better just stay put for now.

"Hmm~ since it feels like we're expanding a bit, I might as well establish the hierarchy system now to avoid trouble later," Clarissa thought for a moment and then immediately said to Xiao, "Help me record the following organizational hierarchy system."

"Understood!" Xiao replied.

Clarissa made a few adjustments, and a holographic projection appeared before her.

Using both "handwriting" and "AI," she formulated and revised it together.

Soon, Clarissa drafted a rough set of regulations.

Akatsuki Organization Hierarchy System:

Level 3 Member: External member. $5,000 monthly salary, room and board included, no special organizational benefits. No permissions.

Level 2 Member: Peripheral member. $20,000 monthly salary, room and board included, 100 contribution points issued monthly. No permissions.

Level 1 Member: Formal member. $100,000 monthly salary, room and board included, 500 contribution points issued monthly, Basic Cultivation Method provided, Level 3 permissions (e.g., use of labs, access to training grounds, use of portals for outings without application, etc.).

Cadre: $200,000 monthly salary, room and board included, 2,000 contribution points issued monthly, Advanced Cultivation Method provided, Level 2 permissions (includes Level 3 permissions, 10% discount at the internal mall, authority to command members below their Rank).

Manager: $300,000 monthly salary, room and board included, 3,000 contribution points issued monthly, Level 1 permissions (includes Level 2 and 3 permissions, 15% discount at the internal mall, authority to command members below their Rank, and can form an exclusive action team of no more than 10 people).

Director: $500,000 monthly salary, room and board included, 5,000 contribution points issued monthly, Special Grade permissions (includes Level 1, 2, and 3 permissions, 20% discount at the internal mall, authority to command members below their Rank, and can form three exclusive action teams of no more than 10 people each).

Leader: Highest permissions.

Clarissa sent a copy of the tentatively drafted organizational hierarchy to everyone. She set her own status as Leader, while Tony, Peter, Gwen, and Lorna became Level 1 Members.

"Hey! Clarissa, I should at least be a Cadre!" Not long after receiving the hierarchy system, Tony rushed up from below and said to Clarissa.

"Everyone is a Level 1 Member; the treatment is the same as what I gave you before.

As for future promotions, it depends on your performance," Clarissa said calmly as she took a sip of tea.

"Alright, alright~" Tony shrugged and sat down to the side, picking up a snack to eat.

"Are you not working down there anymore?" Clarissa asked.

"Eh, I helped with the research, but now it's in the production phase. They're busy, so I won't participate in that part," Tony said, shaking his head. He had already participated in the breakthrough; did he really need to do the manual production himself?

"Okay~" Clarissa nodded slightly. Peter and the others must have seen the hierarchy system as well, but they didn't have any objections.

As for Lorna, she had even fewer objections.

After finalizing the hierarchy system, Clarissa also issued the 500 contribution points for this month to everyone.

"From now on, salaries and contribution points will be issued directly on the 1st of every month. Xiao, record this; you will handle the operations from now on," Clarissa said to Xiao.

"Understood!" Xiao replied.

All of Clarissa's money here was deposited into the Akatsuki Organization's account, monitored and operated by Xiao.

The underground base also had a specialized storage room. It was massive, even larger than the entire underground base itself, with three subterranean levels that were more secret and core areas.

It was managed and mobilized by robots controlled by Xiao.

Inside, a vast amount of various supplies were stored by category, ranging from food ingredients to various elements from the periodic table.

Clarissa had also stored 1,000 tons of gold in there for consumption and as capital.
