780: Chapter 780 Organizational Benefits!

"Not bad." Clarissa was very satisfied; in just one night, the entire basement had not only been expanded, but all the decorations, facilities, and functions had been completely installed.

This efficiency was simply ridiculous!

Those Nanobots had finished their work and entered the workshop to go into standby mode.

With the technology provided by Ran Quan, the entire basement had completely transformed into a super sci-fi base.

Clarissa went up into the villa.

"Morning, Clarissa!" Lorna had just woken up and come out of her room after washing up. Seeing Clarissa, she called out a greeting.

"Morning, Lorna." Clarissa nodded slightly.

"Want to go out for breakfast together?" Lorna asked Clarissa while stretching.

She had gone to bed early last night, and it was a rare, worry-free, and stable sleep without any fear. Lorna now felt as if she had been reborn, radiant and full of energy.

"No need to go out, let's eat at the Underground Base! There's a cafeteria inside. Perfect timing for the two of us to be the first test subjects and see how the food is," Clarissa said to Lorna.

"What?" Lorna was stunned for a moment upon hearing Clarissa's words. Underground Base?

Wait, I've seen the basement before!

How did it turn into an Underground Base in just one night? And it has a cafeteria?

How did I not know about this!

Did I sleep for several days?

Lorna was a bit dazed, but she still followed Clarissa to the basement.

Looking at the entrance that had already become "sci-fi," Lorna couldn't help but be stunned.

"Clarissa, how many days did I sleep?" Lorna couldn't help but ask. "Did I sleep that soundly? I didn't hear a single sound..."

"The power of technology," Clarissa said with a smile to Lorna. "It's only been one night, don't be so surprised. Let's go."

Clarissa led Lorna into the Underground Base.

"Fuck!" Lorna blurted out a curse immediately after walking in.

Looking at the sci-fi and unfamiliar scene before her, she felt like she was dreaming.

Is this something that can be done in one night?

"If you have any questions, ask Xiao—oh, Xiao is the artificial intelligence," Clarissa said to Lorna.

"Ah... okay..." Lorna nodded blankly.

"Cafeteria first." Clarissa led Lorna further in; it wasn't far, and they quickly reached the cafeteria.

The cafeteria wasn't huge, but it was large enough to accommodate fifty to a hundred people dining at the same time.

"Have a seat." Clarissa sat down. "Menu."

As she spoke, the table lit up, and a Holographic Projection of a menu appeared.

Clarissa demonstrated for Lorna, reaching out to tap a dish. The latter immediately displayed an image of the finished dish, looking full of color, aroma, and taste, even simulating "steam." Beside it was a description: a brief background of the dish, cooking time, what ingredients and seasonings were used, the flavor profile, and so on.

It was very intuitive and detailed, straightforward without being wordy; every word was condensed.

Easy to understand, with actual photos.

"Damn!" Lorna was truly shocked by this scene.

Soon, they had finished ordering their food.

And just then, Tony arrived at the organization's stronghold. How could he possibly sleep!

After going back, he forced himself to sleep early and headed toward the stronghold first thing in the morning.

Peter and Gwen were the same.

Even though Peter and Gwen had some insomnia, they still set their alarms.

They rushed over here early in the morning.

They happened to bump into Tony.

"Hey, Xiao, is Lorna awake? Has Clarissa arrived?" Tony asked after entering the villa.

"They are in the Underground Base," Xiao's electronic voice rang out.

"OK~" Tony nodded, and the three of them walked toward the basement.

"Holy shit!" Tony said when he saw the sci-fi door. "I almost thought I went to the wrong place!"

The door opened automatically, and Xiao's voice sounded: "Go on in, they are having breakfast in the cafeteria."

"What on earth is this!"

"How was this done?"

"In one night?"

Tony, Peter, and Gwen walked into the Underground Base. In the main hall, Tony's mouth was full of exclamations.

Peter and Gwen were shocked, though they didn't shout like Tony.

They just looked around with curious eyes; the high-tech appearance made them feel as if they were in a future world.

Holographic Projections provided guidance, while "names" and functional descriptions appeared on several devices and machines.

"Holy shit!" Tony looked at these Holographic Projections, his mind going numb.

How many years ahead was this technology!

Tony, Peter, and Gwen insisted on touring the entire Underground Base before finally heading to the cafeteria.

"Finished your tour?" Clarissa and Lorna had already finished eating.

"Hey! Clarissa, how exactly was this done?" Tony asked Clarissa excitedly, then saw the Cooking Robot that was skillfully preparing ingredients, stir-frying, perfectly controlling everything, and finally producing the dish.

Tony was truly stunned.

If he could do this too, it would mean his MK suits could fully implement an autonomous mode—or rather, he could create an Iron Legion, an army of robots!

Although he could actually do it now if he wanted to, it would require Jarvis's auxiliary control, and the overall effect wouldn't be ideal. One could only say he had the iron and the army.

But it was not on the same level as what was in front of him.

"I told you, it's technology from another world," Clarissa said, shaking her head slightly. "Alright, eat first. After eating, I will teach you how to Cultivate. Once you've started, the rest will be up to you."

"Whatever you want to see or research, go do it yourselves. I won't really manage you much. And if there's nothing going on, everyone is free to do as they please."

"The organization's stronghold is open to everyone 24 hours a day, whether for eating, training, or anything else."

"Fine, fine~" Tony nodded, suppressing the excitement in his heart.

Since it had come to this, let's eat first!

After they finished eating, Clarissa brought them to the training room.

"Here, I'll start by explaining the organization's benefits. Everyone gets $100,000 USD per month, and room and board are free, provided by the organization. You eat in the cafeteria and stay in the villa upstairs—just find a room and hang a sign with your name on it. If the number of members increases later, we'll make other arrangements. Also, one set of organization clothing per person." Clarissa handed out the Akatsuki Organization's attire, one set each.

"This looks pretty big on me..." Gwen said, holding the set of clothes. "Won't it drag on the floor?"

"It won't. Let me explain first: don't look down on this piece of clothing. It's a Xuanhuan product; you can think of it as a magical item, or even a Divine Artifact~" Clarissa said to everyone, using terms they could easily understand. "The clothing has a function that automatically scales to fit your body size, so you can wear it regardless of whether you are tall, short, fat, or thin."

"It also has a dust-proof function and is self-cleaning, so you don't have to worry about getting it dirty or washing it. It's fireproof and waterproof, and has a certain level of defensive capability. Well, in your world's terms, even an RPG couldn't damage it, and it can absorb kinetic energy. So theoretically, if an RPG hits you, you can remain completely unharmed."

"Moreover, it can repair itself. As long as it isn't more than 90% damaged all at once, you don't have to worry about it not being able to fix itself."
