80: Reward from "God"

Looking at the now-empty space, Clarissa breathed a slight sigh of relief; that outburst had cost her quite a bit.

Just as Clarissa relaxed, alarm bells suddenly rang in her mind.

A small phantom of a Demon God appeared behind Clarissa.

"Hahaha! Die! Since I've failed, don't think you're getting off easy either!"

This was the Life Fire of the Abyssal Demon God, detonating right there.

Ding!

Boom!!!

That terrifying power enveloped everything within a radius of ten thousand miles.

Countless demons evaporated instantly, and the purple portal vanished as well.

Carmen Roger and Austin struggled to protect the Gods.

Clarissa, being at the center, bore the brunt of the attack.

A brief silence followed, leaving behind a massive crater over ten thousand miles in diameter and reaching a depth of a thousand meters at its center.

"Clarissa!" Austin couldn't help but shout as he rushed toward the center of the crater; even though he was near the edge, he was heavily injured.

It was impossible to imagine what kind of terrifying attack Clarissa, at the very center, had endured.

Unfortunately, neither Austin nor Carmen Roger, who followed behind, could find a single trace of Clarissa.

Ultimately, after their search proved fruitless, they believed Clarissa might have been turned to ash in the explosion.

To put it bluntly, not even a speck of her remained.

This left them feeling utterly helpless and full of regret.

A person who came to save their world had succeeded, but sacrificed herself in the process, leaving them without even a chance to say thank you! She died without a trace, denied even the opportunity for a burial!

From then on, the world was free from the invasion of the Abyss World, and the Abyssal Demon God was annihilated.

Although the world had suffered a massive blow and countless lives were lost...

...and many problems left behind by the Abyss invasion remained, such as scorched earth...

...it would all take time for the world to slowly recover and improve.

However, things were starting to look up.

The world crisis had been averted, and the entire world began to revitalize.

And Clarissa, the hero who saved the world, left behind titles like "Savior Apostle," "Black Flame Sword Princess," and "Great Savior," along with the tales of her deeds, becoming a Legend.

The "Salvation Alliance" flourished even more, perhaps driven by "regret" and "guilt."

The Gods and even the Original Demon Lord showed kindness to the organization Clarissa left behind, making the "Salvation Alliance" increasingly popular, especially with the backing of so many Gods and Devil Kings.

Afterward, the world expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Tang Ziheng.

"You're welcome, you're welcome~" Tang Ziheng cut off the connection. With the crisis in that world over, the link was severed at the other party's initiative.

It was clear that while Tang Ziheng had saved the world, that was the extent of it. It was normal for them to break contact, as maintaining such a link was impossible.

The other party likely feared that if he developed any designs on it... it would be dangerous.

Tang Ziheng didn't mind; he had earned what he needed to anyway.

He now held 400 million source points in his hand.

"Alright, it's over now," Tang Ziheng said, turning his head.

Clarissa slowly opened her eyes and looked at the void around her; there was no one and nothing in sight.

Yet, she heard a familiar voice.

"God!" Clarissa's eyes lit up. She looked around but found no sign of Tang Ziheng, only an expanse of void.

Remembering that terrifying explosion, she figured she would have been half-dead even if she hadn't died.

But now, it was clear that God had stepped in to save her.

"Since you're fine, go back!" Tang Ziheng didn't keep his worker for long, though some necessary praise was in order. After all, she was his believer and worker—and such a useful fighter. He'd love to have more subordinates like her!

Tang Ziheng couldn't help but glance at the others in different worlds. Sigh! They were such a disappointment!

"Ahem, the world rescue was very successful. That world is out of danger, and you did a great job! I'll give you your reward! You shouldn't stay here long; go back!" As Tang Ziheng finished speaking, before Clarissa could even reply, her vision blurred, and she found herself in a familiar yet strange environment.

The Imperial Capital of the Grosster Empire, in the master bedroom of her grand mansion!

Just then, a maid pushed open the door, followed by someone carrying a basin and other items.

When they saw Clarissa, they immediately lowered their heads in panic and knelt on the ground. "Master! You're back! We didn't know! Please forgive us!"

"..." Clarissa blinked, feeling a bit dazed. She shook her head, not minding. "Alright, it's fine. Go ahead and clean up. I'm going out."

Clarissa looked at the things they were carrying; they were clearly there to clean her room.

Clarissa didn't care about that at all. She felt a mix of regret, touched emotion, and excitement.

Excited because God cared about her and had saved her! Touched because God remembered her goodness and her sacrifices, and even gave her a reward!

The regret was that she hadn't been able to see God's true face!

Nothing else mattered; this regret was what she cared about most.

Unfortunately, she didn't get the chance, and she didn't know if there would be another one.

Clarissa walked to the pavilion in her large courtyard and sat down.

She couldn't wait to open the System and see what rewards God had given her.

The first thing she saw was her source points: 164.58 million.

It was quite a lot!

However, just upgrading her Dragon Blood Warrior required 500 million—five "small goals"—so she was still far off.

Never mind the source points; the rewards were what mattered!

Clarissa saw a gift box icon on her panel.

This must be God's gift!

Clarissa happily opened the gift box.

[Bloodline +5%]

[Star Sword Intent +5%]

[Transcendent Combat Technique: One Sword - Mastery]

[Growth Weapon: Star Heart]

Clarissa felt she had become much stronger!

Especially that Transcendent Combat Technique; she had intuitively gained much from it, and her three High-level Combat Techniques were instantly promoted to Perfection.

Her physical stats had risen to 1,329 points.

Her Star Sword Intent had reached 7.6%.

Her Bloodline level had reached 22%.

And she had officially stepped into the rank of Legend, even surpassing it by a lot.

However, in her world, she was still just a "Radiant Sun Knight."

She hadn't officially received a "title" known to the world yet, as she was simply too low-profile.

Clarissa didn't care much about those things; what she cared about most was that Growth Weapon—an actual physical item bestowed by God! Her first physical item!

"I will definitely make good use of it!" Clarissa took out the "Star Heart," and the moment she did, she was deeply captivated.
