34: Rage Orc

Earth Shattering Slash!

Clarissa met the Orc Captain with a sword strike.

The terrifying power was unmatched.

It directly sent the Orc Captain flying, and the immense power tore him into pieces mid-air, leaving no intact body.

Clarissa had entered a berserk slaughter mode.

"Roar!!!"

At this moment, a roar echoed across the entire battlefield.

A colossal Orc, six meters tall, came charging from afar, completely disregarding the Orcs in its path, crushing them as it went.

"What is that!?"

Everyone was astonished.

They were not unfamiliar with this giant Orc that had appeared!

Because this Orc was a Berserk Orc!

These types of Orcs are usually nurtured by the Orc race, kept in a semi-dormant state.

Because once "activated," they distinguish neither friend nor foe!

Now, the Orcs had clearly deployed it on this battlefield!

Did the Orcs intend to breach the Gran Wall this year?!

The power of a Berserk Orc was such that even Glittering Moon Knights of the Brightmoon-level found it difficult to penetrate its physical body, unless they used intermediate combat skills of the Great Perfection level or higher to barely break through its physical defense.

Moreover, its strength and speed were extremely terrifying.

An ordinary Glittering Moon Knight would die if hit and be injured if merely touched.

The Gran Wall might not withstand the rampage of this Berserk Orc!

After all, the Gran Wall had endured through the ages; although magic arrays were carved onto it, the power of time was constantly eroding it, and coupled with years of war, its condition had been steadily declining. The Grosster Empire had always been troubled by this issue.

Because the scale of new construction or renovation projects was too vast! Neither in terms of time nor investment could the Grosster Empire, plagued by internal and external troubles, afford it.

After all, the influence of the Orcs was simply too great.

Berserk Orcs are extremely rare; if one appears here, there will generally not be a second one elsewhere.

Looking at the charging Berserk Orc.

Everyone had only one thought: it absolutely could not be allowed to get any closer!

"Mages! Immediately use magic to report the military situation! Immediately request reinforcements from the Empire!" The strategist roared.

"We'll stop it!" Several Glittering Moon Knights volunteered, shouting as they charged directly towards the Berserk Orc.

Phoenix Soaring Flame Kill!

One of the Glittering Moon Knights raised his hand and unleashed a high-level combat skill. However, high-level combat skills were too difficult to master; he was currently only at the "Mastery" level.

Even so, with one strike, a giant firebird with a wingspan of twenty to thirty meters spread its wings.

"Roar!"

The Berserk Orc was utterly fearless, roaring at the firebird. Its charging footsteps did not stop; it had no weapons, its physical body was its strongest weapon!

The Berserk Orc slammed violently into the firebird.

Boom!!!

Terrifying flames immediately exploded, engulfing it.

The next moment, the Berserk Orc, with slight black ash on its arms, burst out from the flames.

"Haaah!!!" A Glittering Moon Knight met it head-on, extending his hand forward.

Shield of Absolute Heaven!

A huge, transparent, earthy-yellow barrier erupted.

Boom!!!

The Berserk Orc crashed violently into it.

The Ground instantly collapsed, and the barrier immediately cracked, then shattered.

Pfft!

The Glittering Moon Knight spat out a mouthful of blood and flew backward.

Zzzzt!

A thick, purple lightning bolt, as wide as a bucket, suddenly fell from the sky.

Boom!!!

It struck the Berserk Orc directly.

A Brightmoon Mage on the city wall continued to cast spells.

Brightmoon-level Mages, even here, could be counted on one hand.

At this moment, all of them abandoned other targets and focused entirely on the Berserk Orc.

Blazing fire, lightning, frost, wind blades... various elements burst forth, and powerful magic forcefully suppressed the Berserk Orc in place.

The Berserk Orc, which appeared to be in a very sorry state from the attacks, was actually only minimally injured.

It wasn't that the Mages' damage was low, but that the Berserk Orc's defense was too high, and its recovery ability was also strong. Even if it took significant damage, it would recover within a few breaths.

Wear it down! Everyone could only continuously wear down the Berserk Orc!

According to historical records, a Berserk Orc could only last for about an hour. After about an hour, the Berserk Orc would fall into a semi-dormant state due to the immense exhaustion.

At that point, it would either be killed or captured.

Of course, while Orcs were often reckless, they weren't brainless. They wouldn't allow humans to do this; in places where a Berserk Orc appeared, once its "time limit" was up, all Orcs would escort it back.

And cease that particular invasion, effectively retreating!

This was also one of the very few situations that would cause Orcs to retreat.

With five Brightmoon Mages less providing support, various battlefields immediately showed signs of fatigue.

Everyone's pressure greatly increased.

A single Berserk Orc tied up a large number of high-end combatants.

Clarissa was still diligently killing Orcs.

Her movements became faster and faster, her sword increasingly precise, and her efficiency higher and higher.

Faster! Faster! Clarissa appeared extremely berserk, directly charging head-on in various ways, but in reality, she was clear-headed. With Dragon Blood Warrior II by her side, her true combat power far exceeded her rank, and she could no longer be entirely considered "human."

Calling her a Dragonkin would be more accurate; only her pupils showed such "heterogeneous" signs.

However, Clarissa didn't mind. Besides trusting the deity "Tang Ziheng," she herself felt no discomfort whatsoever.

Clarissa's dedication to slaughter also compensated for the lack of high-end combat power, especially with the Berserk Orc tying up a large number of high-end combatants.

"You all just hold on a little longer..." Clarissa's own source points were increasing, and she hoped the Berserk Orc side could hold on longer.

Upgrading both talents required 50,000 source points, but the improvement to her own talents wouldn't be of much help to the current situation.

And the most direct, most effective, and most helpful ability: Dragon Blood Warrior, required 300,000 source points to upgrade. If she upgraded it... Clarissa felt that she should be able to contend with a Blazing Sun-level opponent. At that point, dealing with the Berserk Orc alone shouldn't be a problem; killing it might be difficult, but containing it shouldn't be a big issue.

Thinking this, Clarissa tried her best to continuously kill Orcs.

The current situation on the entire battlefield was very delicate.

It depended on which side couldn't hold on first and collapsed.

Either they held on until reinforcements arrived, in which case the Berserk Orc certainly wouldn't be able to breach the Gran Wall within an hour.

Or... before reinforcements arrived, they couldn't hold on, allowing the Berserk Orc to break into the hinterlands... regardless of the slaughter or casualties it caused, the biggest fear was tearing a hole in the Gran Wall.

At that time... once the Gran Wall fell, the situation would undergo a complete and drastic change.

This was something the Grosster Empire could not bear. Once it fell into such an extreme crisis, it was feared that other countries, already coveting its territory, would take advantage of the chaos.

It was very possible that the Grosster Empire would completely become history!

As a person of the Grosster Empire, Clarissa naturally would not wish for such a day to come.

Losing her hometown, and then losing her homeland and country... then... she would truly become a rootless person...
