181: Familiar tomb raiding organization

[They did it on purpose! They intentionally hid and waited for Ye Bai and the others to clear the monsters ahead before coming out, didn't they?]

[Damn it! These bastards, why didn't the Huos Immortal Bug eat them?]

[A lot of these Tomb Robbers have actually come. There must be at least fifty of them, right? They're even carrying a large number of weapons. Holy crap! Ye Bai and the others are in danger now.]

[We have quite a few people too, how could something go wrong?]

[Are you stupid? These people are demons who kill without blinking. Now the professors and members of the Archaeological Team, as well as the celebrities, are all sitting ducks out in the open. No matter how powerful Ye Bai is, can he be faster than a bullet? Besides, it doesn't matter if those other guys die, but our Archaeological Team and the Search and Rescue Team are all talented people. I wouldn't be able to bear losing even one of them!!]

[Ahhh! Right, right, right, I forgot about that. There are celebrities too... Holy crap! Where are Zhang Dada and the others? Where did they go?]

[Damn! Did these people run away again? They're at the very back right now, standing right at the entrance. I saw them!!]

[What do we do now? Just take a beating passively? Or passively wait to be killed?]

The viewers were now extremely concerned about their safety. These were Tomb Robbers... They had just strolled in so brazenly, and with a large number of weapons to boot. Who could handle this?

Inside the Archaeology Academy.

Professor Qian, Professor Guo, and the rest of the group felt their breath hitch as they watched this scene.

"These are Tomb Robbers?"

"These shameless scoundrels were actually hiding? They certainly know how to take advantage of people!"

"What should Old Wang and the others do now? Won't they just be passively killed?"

The other professors looked at the Tomb Robbers in shock.

They were dressed uniformly, looking very similar to the style of the School of Biology at first glance, but upon closer inspection, one could see they weren't quite the same.

They had truly put a lot of effort into this; even the forgery was done so meticulously.

No wonder the Village Chief had mistaken them. If it were the professors themselves, they wouldn't have easily noticed without looking closely.

"These people aren't right. They aren't ordinary Tomb Robbers."

Professor Guo's brow furrowed when he saw the characteristics of those people.

"What's wrong? Do you recognize them?"

Professor Qian muttered in a low voice.

"It's not just me who recognizes them; you do too."

Professor Guo fell silent for a moment, then turned his head to look at him. "Ten years ago, in the Jiangnan area, didn't we encounter Tomb Robbers when we were exploring a Tomb? Do you remember whose people those were?"

Upon hearing this, Professor Qian was first stunned, and then his expression became very grim.

He remembered. Back then, just as they were preparing to bring back the cultural relics, they encountered Tomb Robbers. The robbers had entered the Tomb directly to confront them and even attacked them outright.

Fortunately, the guard team they brought was relatively large, and many more guards arrived while they were escorting the relics. If it had been just them, they might have all died back then.

Their deaths would have been a small matter, but the relics would have fallen into the hands of those Tomb Robbers and might have even been sent directly overseas.

After a final investigation, it turned out to be a very famous organization, the Southern Tufuzi.

It seemed they were once connected to the Nine Gates.

The identities of those Tomb Robbers had never been fully investigated, perhaps because the professors hadn't paid enough attention.

After all, as soon as they brought back the relics, they immediately began researching them and didn't focus on the outside situation.

"The Southern Tufuzi... they seem to be related to the Nine Gates."

Professor Qian muttered softly and uncertainly.

Professor Guo nodded slightly. "I remember very clearly. They have a totem on the back of their hands. This totem seems to be their symbol. I saw it on those people back then. Look at the backs of their hands again; is there one there too?"

After hearing Professor Guo's words, Professor Qian and the other professors instinctively looked at the Live Stream Room.

Sure enough, they saw a totem on the backs of their hands.

It was a wolf head totem.

"What organization is this?"

"There are so many Tufuzi, and some have declared themselves kings. This matter will take time to find an answer."

"What answer are we still looking for? By the time we find it, they'll all be dead."

The other professors were now incredibly concerned about Old Wang's safety.

What should they do now? Were they just going to watch them wait for death?

"It depends on what Captain Zhao and Ye Bai do."

Professor Guo took a deep breath, his hands on the table tightening. His eyes were full of worry.

At the Production Team.

The executives and the director were stunned when they saw these Tomb Robbers emerge.

Damn it, that executive was actually right; these Tomb Robbers really did show up.

And they came out right after Ye Bai killed the Immortal Bug. This was truly disgusting.

"You jinx! You were actually right. What do we do now? They're just waiting to die."

One of the executives looked at his colleague beside him and questioned him loudly.

"I was just reminding you guys. Who knew they'd actually come out? I don't know how they showed up either."

That executive felt very wronged. He had kindly reminded them not to forget about the Tomb Robbers, and now they had actually appeared.

"Is it too late to send reinforcements now?"

Another executive asked hurriedly, his heart filled with anxiety.

"How can we send reinforcements? The Corpse Beetles and Saber-toothed Salmon are still blocking the entrance, not to mention those large birds in the forest and the Dead Floats in the secret passage. How would reinforcements even get there?"

The director rolled his eyes speechlessly upon hearing the executive's words.

He then picked up his phone to make a call, his hand holding the phone trembling involuntarily.

"Director, what are you doing?"

The others asked in confusion.

"What else can I do? I'm calculating my assets to see if they're enough for the compensation, and if the rest of my life is enough to spend in prison. I don't even know if I'll be able to come out alive."

The director felt like a fish being roasted over a fire—not only was he suffering, but he could be cooked through at any moment.

Setting aside the Archaeological Team for a moment, there was the Security Team, the celebrities, the newly-risen Tomb God Ye Bai, and the camera crew. If any of them died, wouldn't he have to pay compensation?

He wouldn't even have his underwear left.

The director's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally died. He no longer had to worry about when they would die.

Now, they were definitely dead.

Inside the courtyard villa.

Boss Li and his brothers were there watching the live stream.

Seeing these people suddenly appear, their brows instantly furrowed.

"What's going on? Old Li, did you send people to rob the Tomb?"

A sweet-looking woman was trimming her nails with a nail clipper. When she saw these Tomb Robbers, she instinctively looked at Boss Li.

"Stop talking nonsense. Am I that kind of person? These aren't my people."

Boss Li shook his head and said.
