208: No, why isn't this guy playing by the rules?

"You are not worthy of mentioning the word 'home'," the Female Corpse suddenly roared, her entire body emitting a thick, malevolent aura.

"You are not worthy of discussing the word 'home', you are sinners!" she continued to bellow.

Zhang Dada and Yang Mi were already so terrified they were speechless.

The Female Corpse slowly crawled out of the outer coffin. She reached out to grab Yang Mi, saying, "Come with big sister, my sweet baby."

Seeing things were going south, Zhang Dada swung his axe at the Female Corpse. Unable to dodge in time, the Female Corpse's palm was slashed, and blood dripped onto the ground along her arm.

The Female Corpse stared at Zhang Dada in rage. She leapt up and kicked him hard in the abdomen. Zhang Dada cried out in pain and staggered back several meters.

"Be careful!" Ye Bai shouted.

He had just noticed that there were iron chains wrapped around the Female Corpse's wrists; she likely relied on them to move.

The moment she jumped, the iron chains on her wrists whipped out violently. Like a spirit snake, the chain lashed against Yang Mi, actually wrapping around her.

Yang Mi let out a sharp scream as she was spun half a circle in mid-air before slamming heavily against the stone wall.

"Mi Mi!" Zhang Dada was filled with grief and indignation. He snatched up a thick, long wooden stick and smashed it toward the Female Corpse.

The Female Corpse dodged to the side, evading the strike.

Her speed was much faster than Zhang Dada's. The Female Corpse lunged at Zhang Dada with lightning speed, clutching his throat with one hand while her other hand hammered fiercely at his forehead.

With a "thud," Zhang Dada's body collapsed.

"Zhang Dada!" Yang Mi cried out in distress.

The Female Corpse looked coldly at Yang Mi and said, "You all must die! You all must die!" With that, she opened her mouth.

Ye Bai raised an eyebrow. Was she about to bite Yang Mi to death?

"Stop!" Ye Bai roared, pointing his Dagger at Yang Mi to threaten the Female Corpse into letting her go.

The Female Corpse narrowed her eyes at Ye Bai and asked, "Why stop me from killing her?"

"You don't have the right," Ye Bai replied flatly, then added, "And you can't kill her anyway."

"Heh, how funny." The Female Corpse showed a mocking expression. She sat cross-legged on the ground and said, "I can easily crush her throat..."

Ye Bai shook his head, interrupting her. He took out a yellow talisman he carried with him, and after chanting a few spells, he stuck it onto Yang Mi's forehead.

The yellow talisman turned into flames and burned away. Yang Mi's face regained its color, and she opened her eyes.

Yang Mi looked around blankly, staring at Ye Bai in surprise.

Ye Bai nodded to her, signaling that she didn't need to worry. Yang Mi breathed a sigh of relief.

The Female Corpse looked at Ye Bai in confusion and said, "What exactly did you do?"

Ye Bai shrugged and said, "Nothing much. I just made her temporarily forget the fear she felt, turning her back into an ordinary person."

"Hmph, don't you dare try to trick me. You must have used some demonic sorcery!" The Female Corpse glared at Ye Bai viciously.

Yang Mi stood where she was, looking at Ye Bai.

Ye Bai gave her a small smile and said, "It's okay. After I deal with this Zombie, we'll catch up."

A fierce light flickered in the Female Corpse's eyes as she said hatefully, "Fine! Then today, you'll leave your life here!" With that, the Female Corpse lunged forward, opening her giant mouth.

Ye Bai gripped his Dagger and stabbed toward her chest. The Female Corpse dodged nimbly, while simultaneously reaching out with both claws to grab Ye Bai's arms. At the same time, its tongue shot out, aiming for Ye Bai's neck. Ye Bai quickly leaned his body back; the Female Corpse missed, her tongue passing by Ye Bai's ear, nearly biting his head.

Ye Bai raised his foot and kicked the Female Corpse in the stomach. She was sent flying several meters, crashing into the rock wall before bouncing off and falling down.

"Heh... heh..." The Female Corpse panted with her tongue out, her chest heaving violently.

"You're too weak. I told you before, you can't win against me at all." Ye Bai shook his head and sighed.

The Female Corpse scrambled up from the ground and glared at Ye Bai, saying, "You're quite arrogant!"

"Right back at you." Ye Bai smiled and said, "I was once an Exorcist, specifically dealing with malevolent ghosts and vengeful spirits. Back then, I turned your Underworld upside down; you should be thanking me instead."

The Female Corpse gave a cold laugh and muttered under her breath, "I know who you are now... You won't die... I can still find you! You can't escape!" She suddenly lunged forward like she had gone mad.

Ye Bai took two quick steps back to dodge. The Female Corpse pounced onto the ground, then looked up, staring at Ye Bai with eyes full of immense hatred.

Ye Bai frowned. The Female Corpse's strength and speed were indeed much greater than an average person's, but she still couldn't handle her. Unless... Ye Bai's gaze swept the surroundings. Suddenly, he noticed something in a crack at the top of the cave.

"What's that?" Curious, Ye Bai stood on his tiptoes and reached up to feel it.

He touched a hard layer of ice. Ye Bai tried to pry the ice apart, only to find it extremely thick and solid.

Ye Bai tried to pry open a gap, and after a lot of effort, he managed to break off a fist-sized chunk of ice.

The outer shell of the ice block was very hard; it took Ye Bai half an hour to smash it. He weighed the ice block in his hand; it was at least three to five kilograms, a rare treasure.

"Eh, this is..." Ye Bai was stunned.

He saw clearly what was encased inside the ice—it was a crystal-clear green Bead.

The Bead emitted a soft luminescence, lighting up the darkness. The halo of light from this green Bead was as warm as moonlight.

"What kind of Bead is this..." Ye Bai murmured to himself. "It feels like some kind of treasure."

The Bead looked ordinary, with nothing special about it. However, when Ye Bai placed it on his wrist, a warm sensation arose, as if it were merging with his body.

What was going on with this Bead? What was it?

Not only did the Bead emit a warm feeling, but it also vaguely transmitted some information, making Ye Bai's spirits lift instantly. This green Bead seemed to be able to nourish one's internal organs, increase immunity, and improve bodily functions.

"This thing is strange..."

Doubt rose in Ye Bai's heart.

However, he soon cast those doubts aside. Regardless of what the Bead was for, as long as it was beneficial to his health, it was fine.

Having thought this through, Ye Bai took off the Bead and tucked it into his robe to hide it.

Seeing Ye Bai take the Bead, the Female Corpse became agitated and lunged at him again.

Ye Bai dodged the Female Corpse's attack and took a quick glance at Yang Mi, finding that she had fully recovered. All those who had been terrified earlier had also woken up.

"Hahahaha—" the Female Corpse laughed wildly. "Stupid humans, every single person here was killed because of you." She pointed at Ye Bai and roared, "I will definitely have my revenge! Just you wait, I'll be coming for you soon!"

Ye Bai frowned and said, "Who exactly are you? Why are you always working against me?"

The Female Corpse sneered and said, "Why don't you guess?"

"I guess you were sent by the Li Family ancestors to guard this Ancient Tomb," Ye Bai said.
