337: Red datura, indeed extraordinary.
"Forget it for now, I'll leave this place first."
Ye Bai stood up, preparing to leave, when he suddenly felt his body become incredibly heavy, as if he were carrying a ten-thousand-jin boulder on his back.
He looked down and saw hundreds of copper coins piled up in the coffin, and these copper coins formed a Formation that was trapping him.
"This coffin is used to suppress evil; I can't escape at all."
Ye Bai sighed, simply lay back down in the coffin, and let it carry him away.
The coffin floated for a full five minutes before it stopped.
Ye Bai, inside, was bewildered. How did this coffin stop?
When the coffin shook again, Ye Bai sensed that something was wrong.
He turned his head to look and saw that a bed was now placed at the bottom of the originally empty coffin. A young man was lying on the bed.
Ye Bai's eyes widened.
"Damn, this coffin actually holds a living person?"
The young man was handsome, with distinct facial features; even with his eyes closed, he looked exceptionally striking.
"Who is he?"
Ye Bai cautiously approached the young man at the bottom of the coffin.
Just then, the young man's eyelashes fluttered twice. He seemed to be waking up.
Ye Bai felt a chill in his heart; he immediately held his breath and didn't dare to move.
At that moment, the young man opened his eyes.
Ye Bai saw his face clearly and gasped.
The young man's eyes were deep and pitch-black, and a bewitching red mandala flower was painted at the corner of his eye.
His lips were scarlet, and his cheeks were covered in ferocious black patterns. He looked like an evil spirit that had walked out of Hell, making one unable to help but tremble all over.
Ye Bai swallowed hard and tentatively called out, "Hey? Are you awake?"
The young man slowly sat up. His movements were extremely slow, as if he were a stiff puppet, but his deep, pitch-black eyes remained firmly locked onto Ye Bai.
Ye Bai felt creeped out by the stare.
"Hey... my name is Ye Bai, and I am an Archaeologist." Ye Bai tried his best to squeeze out a smile, casually giving himself a title, trying to appear friendly.
Unfortunately, the young man didn't understand his words at all. He reached out his palm and grabbed toward Ye Bai.
"Damn!"
Ye Bai complained inwardly, taken aback, and quickly rolled to the side.
The young man crushed the tiles on the wall with one grip, and cracks rapidly spread. Ye Bai was terrified and kept moving backward.
Suddenly, he felt himself bump into something. Looking down, he saw it was a wooden box containing many jars and bottles, all of which were handicrafts.
Ye Bai breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that this box must be the belongings of the corpse at the bottom of the coffin.
"These are all treasures." Ye Bai was ecstatic. "I am just in need of a Magical Artifact."
Ye Bai picked up the wooden box, intending to find a quiet place to study the structure of these jars and bottles.
Just then, the young man moved again. His fingers, like steel bars, pierced straight through the outer coffin board and grabbed at Ye Bai. Ye Bai quickly rolled forward.
Just then, Ye Bai's ears twitched, and he heard a chaotic sound of footsteps approaching in his direction. Ye Bai was horrified. These footsteps did not belong to one person, but a group of people.
Damn, these guys must have heard the commotion just now and followed the trail here.
Ye Bai sprinted into the distance, with the young man in close pursuit, and the chaotic footsteps were also getting closer.
As he ran, he took out his phone to check the live stream, only to find that the signal had become extremely weak, and the bullet comments were only flashing occasionally.
"Streamer, be careful! What is that monster behind you?"
"I feel like the Streamer is going to fail this time; quickly find a place to hide!"
Ye Bai had no time to pay attention to the viewers' comments. He wove through the complex Passage, trying to shake off the pursuers behind him.
Suddenly, he saw a fork in the road ahead. The left Passage was filled with a pungent smell of sulfur, while the right side emitted waves of cold, sinister Qi.
While he was hesitating, he heard the shouts of Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi.
"Ye Bai, we are here!" Meng Ziyi's voice came from the left Passage.
Ye Bai gritted his teeth and ran to the left. Just as he turned into the Passage, he saw Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi hiding behind a giant rock.
"Why are you here?" Ye Bai asked.
"We were chased by a group of strange shadows and fled here," Yang Mi said, still shaken.
"Those shadows were too fast; we almost got caught," Meng Ziyi said, her face full of terror.
Ye Bai frowned. "Forget about those for now; we need to find a safe place. There is a smell of sulfur here, which might contain something that suppresses those evil spirits."
In the Live Stream Room, the viewers were also sweating for them.
"I hope they can be safe; this is too thrilling."
"I feel like this tomb is full of danger everywhere; how are the Streamer and the others going to escape?"
Ye Bai led Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi in the direction where the smell of sulfur was stronger.
Not long after, they discovered a wall covered in runes. The runes emitted a faint golden light, seemingly preventing something.
"These runes... I think I've seen them in an Ancient Book." Ye Bai examined them carefully. "This is a type of ancient Seal rune that can resist evil spirits."
"Then are we safe?" A glimmer of hope ignited in Meng Ziyi's eyes.
"Not necessarily; this can only block them temporarily." Ye Bai looked around vigilantly.
Just then, the young man and a group of shadows appeared at the end of the Passage.
Seeing the rune wall, the young man let out a roar. He waved his hands, and those shadows lunged toward Ye Bai and the others.
The shadows crashed into the rune wall, emitting shrill screams, but they still rushed forward one after another.
"If this continues, the power of the rune wall will be exhausted," Ye Bai said anxiously.
"Then what should we do?" Yang Mi grabbed Ye Bai's arm tightly.
Ye Bai looked around and found a depression on the wall, shaped like a disk.
He used all his strength to push the protruding depression on the wall.
A Stone Door appeared before the three of them.
This Stone Door was carved with intricate and mysterious patterns, as well as various strange symbols.
Ye Bai stood in front of the Stone Door, looking up at the patterns above, when suddenly many strange scenes emerged in his mind.
He saw an elderly wizard carrying a longbow on his back, holding a silver sword, riding a horse, galloping across the wilderness.
Beside him followed several guards in green clothes, whose attire was completely different from anything Ye Bai knew.
Ye Bai closed his eyes and opened them again, seeing another world inside the Stone Door.
It was a vast grassland, with a clear blue sky.
Sunlight shone down through the clouds, scattering over the grassland.
On this grassland, there was a High Platform, and several rows of giant Stone Steles stood on it.
Each row of Stone Steles was carved with a mysterious and unfathomable picture.
At the very end of the picture, a single character was written.
