207: The underground palace in the mirror, the mechanism is activated.

The image displayed the layout of the Underground Palace, including a route shimmering with light, which seemed to be the path leading to the exit.

“This is the map for the exit route!” Zhang Dada exclaimed excitedly.

Ye Bai carefully studied the image, committing the route to memory. Then, the image on the mirror vanished, and everything returned to normal.

“We'll follow this route,” said Ye Bai.

They bypassed the pile of treasures and moved forward in the direction indicated by the route map. Along the way, they encountered several small mechanisms, but relying on Ye Bai's experience and wisdom, they managed to pass through safely.

As they walked, they reached a narrow Passage. The walls on both sides of the Passage were inlaid with glowing Gems. Yang Mi was drawn to the Gems and couldn't help but reach out to touch one.

“Yang Mi, don't touch anything,” Ye Bai warned.

But it was too late. The moment Yang Mi touched the Gem, a massive roar echoed through the Passage, and the ground began to shake violently.

“Damn it, the mechanism has been triggered!” Ye Bai shouted.

The ground ahead of them began to collapse, revealing a massive pit. The bottom of the pit was covered with sharp wooden stakes; falling in would surely lead to being smashed to pieces.

Zhang Dada asked in a panic, “God Ye, what do we do now?”

Ye Bai calmly observed their surroundings and noticed some climbable protrusions above them.

“We'll go over the top,” Ye Bai said.

Zhang Dada and Yang Mi nodded and slowly followed Ye Bai as he climbed. Finally, the three of them landed safely back on the ground.

Ye Bai looked up and saw that the protrusions had become very small. If they hadn't looked closely, they wouldn't have noticed them at all.

Just as they found their footing, a rumbling sound came from above.

“Oh no, it's collapsing!” Zhang Dada cried out in terror.

They immediately dashed forward.

Ye Bai ran in the lead, leaping across the Cave, which was several meters wide. On the other side of the Cave was a massive square.

Ye Bai gasped as he looked at the scene ahead. The walls surrounding the square were slowly descending, forming a gigantic iron net.

“Oh, my god...” Yang Mi was terrified, her face pale. She clung to Ye Bai's arm, refusing to let go.

“Let's run, God Ye! This square is full of mechanisms. We won't be able to escape,” Zhang Dada said with a mournful expression.

“I know. That's why I told you to run ahead; I'll cover the rear,” Ye Bai stated.

Zhang Dada smiled bitterly. He knew Ye Bai intended to stay behind and cover them. But wouldn't doing so be a suicide mission?

“Don't hesitate! If we wait any longer, we'll all die here,” Ye Bai said, pulling the two forward.

Zhang Dada gritted his teeth and ran forward, while Yang Mi continued to cling tightly to Ye Bai's waist.

They quickly arrived in front of a high platform. On the platform lay a skeleton with its arms held flat across its chest. Ye Bai stopped and said, “You two move the coffin first; I'll hold them off for a while.”

“If you do that, you'll die...” Yang Mi said, tears streaming down her face.

“That's right, you'll die if you do that. God Ye, please, forget about us and just run,” Zhang Dada urged.

“I won't abandon you,” Ye Bai said seriously.

“God Ye...” Zhang Dada choked, unable to speak further.

Just then, dark clouds suddenly drifted across the sky, obscuring the moonlight. The square instantly plunged into darkness.

Ye Bai narrowed his eyes. He heard the sound of wind whistling past his ears, along with the sound of something rapidly falling.

“This is bad, it's collapsing!” Zhang Dada roared.

Ye Bai reacted extremely fast, hugging both people and rolling towards the outer edge of the square to avoid being crushed. At the same time, countless massive stones fell from the sky, smashing into every corner of the square and kicking up clouds of dust.

Ye Bai rolled with the two of them and finally stabilized his footing. When the dust settled slightly, they looked up and saw the square in utter ruin: shattered stone bricks, broken pillars, collapsed sculptures... Yang Mi covered her mouth and gasped, “Oh my god! What a disaster!”

Ye Bai shook his head and said, “This is the core area of a Mausoleum. The fact that it remains intact after so many years proves how incredibly powerful the owner of the Mausoleum was in life. These dangers would be fatal to ordinary people, but they pose no threat to me, who possesses special abilities.”

“God Ye, you're amazing! I love you!” Yang Mi rushed over, hugging Ye Bai and kissing his neck.

“Alright, stop messing around.” Ye Bai pushed Yang Mi away. He looked around and noticed that before the collapse, the Artisan had placed the Bronze Coffin in the center of the square.

He walked up and forcefully lifted the Coffin Lid of the Bronze Coffin.

Inside the Bronze Coffin lay a corpse. It was a woman, who looked to be at least fifty years old. She wore a golden-yellow Phoenix Robe, and her features were elegant and beautiful, lifelike, as if she were merely asleep.

Ye Bai gently touched her cheek. Yang Mi leaned her head over, peered closely, and said in surprise, “Wow, this Imperial Concubine is so beautiful.”

Zhang Dada also walked over. He stared at the Female Corpse in the Bronze Coffin and asked Ye Bai, “Which concubine is this? Why did she die here?”

Ye Bai shook his head and said, “I'm not sure, and I dare not confirm it.”

Yang Mi crouched down to examine the Female Corpse's body, then said, “Look, she is wearing the Empress's jade pendant around her neck. I once saw this jade pendant on TV.”

Zhang Dada said, “If that's the case, then this Lady must be the Queen of the Great Tang Kingdom.”

Ye Bai sighed. He felt that this matter was deeply unsettling.

“Let's leave this place quickly,” Ye Bai urged.

Just as he was about to leave, Yang Mi suddenly said, “Wait!”

Ye Bai turned his head and looked at Yang Mi in confusion. Yang Mi picked up a Bead and shouted excitedly, “Ha, it's actually a luminous pearl! This is priceless!”

Zhang Dada walked over, looked at it, and said, “Although this luminous pearl is valuable, it is one of the Funerary Objects, so it can't be sold for money.”

“No, I like it,” Yang Mi said excitedly, holding the luminous pearl and looking at it from all angles, seemingly eager to wear it immediately.

“Alright, alright, take it, hurry up and take it!” Zhang Dada urged Yang Mi.

Just then, a chilling, sinister voice abruptly rang out: “Who dares to steal my belongings?”

Ye Bai's expression changed drastically. He said, “You're awake?”

Yang Mi was trembling with fear. She hid behind Ye Bai and whispered shakily, “What the heck is that...”

The Ancient Corpse suddenly opened its eyes and sat up. She was clad in Armor, looking heroic and imposing, with a serious expression. She coldly scanned her surroundings, finally focusing her gaze on Yang Mi. Her eyes suddenly turned red, and she spoke in a low voice, “Sister... why haven't you... come home yet? I missed you. Shall we go home?”

“Ah—” Yang Mi was terrified.

“Shut up!” Zhang Dada roared, saying, “Stop playing tricks! Get lost immediately! Otherwise, I'll kill you!”
