312: Hidden door, secret unknown to others.
"I understand now." Ye Bai adjusted his stance and attack angle according to the warrior's posture and symbolic instructions on the Mural. Sure enough, the threat posed by the Corpse Raisers' attacks was greatly reduced.
The audience in the Live Stream Room cheered for Ye Bai's wit.
"Ye Bai is too smart; he can even utilize the Mural."
"This fight scene is so spectacular, even better than a movie."
While Ye Bai was maneuvering against the Corpse Raisers, Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi discovered a Secret Door on the other side of the Tomb Chamber. Strange runes were carved onto the Secret Door, and these runes were somewhat similar to those on the box atop the Stone Platform.
"Ye Bai, we found a Secret Door, but there are runes on it that we don't understand," Yang Mi shouted.
Ye Bai broke free from the entanglement of the Corpse Raisers and came to the Secret Door. After carefully observing the runes, he said, "This is an ancient Seal rune that requires specific energy to open. I'll try using the gemstone from earlier."
He took out the gemstone obtained from the box on the Stone Platform and placed it in the center of the runes on the Secret Door. The gemstone emitted an intense light that traveled along the runes, and the Secret Door slowly opened.
A mysterious force surged from within the Secret Door, and the surrounding weapons vibrated even more violently.
"Not good, this force is affecting the Feng Shui Formation; we need to get inside quickly," Ye Bai said.
After the three of them entered the Secret Door, they discovered a smaller space inside. In the center of the space was a Crystal Coffin, and inside the coffin lay a woman dressed in magnificent attire. The woman's face was stunningly beautiful, but her complexion was as pale as paper.
"Who is this woman? Why is she here?" Meng Ziyi asked curiously.
Ye Bai looked at the Feng Shui layout surrounding the Crystal Coffin and said, "She should be a key figure in this Feng Shui Formation. Perhaps she was buried with some important ancient figure, but her existence seems to have other special significance."
The audience in the Live Stream Room also speculated about the woman's identity.
"Could this woman be a thousand-year-old Female Corpse?"
"I feel like her identity isn't simple; could she be the owner of this Tomb?"
Ye Bai approached the Crystal Coffin and discovered some words carved onto the Coffin Lid. After carefully identifying them, his expression changed drastically: "This is a curse; if anyone disturbs her rest, it will trigger a catastrophe."
"Then what should we do?" Yang Mi asked nervously.
Just then, a loud noise came from outside; it seemed those Corpse Raisers had triggered the weapons, causing a backlash in the Feng Shui Formation. The entire Tomb Chamber began to shake violently, and stones kept falling.
"There's no time to hesitate; we must find a way to break this curse. Perhaps this is the key to stopping the backlash of the Feng Shui Formation," Ye Bai said.
He searched for clues around the Crystal Coffin and discovered that the woman was holding a jade hairpin in her hand. The patterns on the jade hairpin had some connection to the runes on the Secret Door.
"I need to get that jade hairpin; perhaps it can resolve all of this." As he said this, Ye Bai carefully reached out to take the jade hairpin.
The moment Ye Bai's hand touched the jade hairpin, the woman inside the Crystal Coffin suddenly opened her eyes. Her eyes flashed with an eerie red light.
"Ah! She's alive!" Meng Ziyi screamed in fear.
The Live Stream Room was also in chaos.
"Oh my god, this is too terrifying; Ye Bai, run!"
"Is this a ghost? I feel like something big is about to happen."
Ye Bai did not retreat. He looked at the woman and said, "We mean no offense; we only want to stop this disaster."
The woman, however, let out an eerie laugh: "You have already violated the taboo, and you all must die." As she spoke, she sat up from within the Crystal Coffin, and the surrounding air seemed to freeze. Her target was none other than Ye Bai.
The situation at this moment was extremely critical, and Ye Bai couldn't care about anything else. He grabbed the jade hairpin from the woman's hand and thrust it fiercely into her chest. Instantly, blood sprayed out, splashing onto Ye Bai. Ye Bai took the opportunity to take the jade hairpin, threw it into the backpack he was carrying, and drew his sword again to meet her.
His speed was extremely fast, and his sword blade danced like a line, forcing the woman to retreat step by step. Eventually, the woman fell into a pool of blood, her eyes still glaring at Ye Bai with resentment.
"How dare you kill her!" The young boy was extremely furious and lunged forward while roaring.
Ye Bai immediately jumped to dodge, then swept a whip kick toward the young boy, kicking him away. He sneered and rushed toward the remaining Corpse Raisers, swinging his sword to decapitate them.
Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi stared blankly at the scene before them; they never dreamed that Ye Bai could actually kill all the Corpse Raisers.
"So cool! Ye Bai is so handsome!" Meng Ziyi shouted excitedly.
"Hurry up and go in to see what you can find," Ye Bai urged the two women.
Consequently, Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi slipped into the Secret Door to continue exploring the situation inside the Tomb. After a while, the Secret Door was suddenly pulled open. Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi crawled out with faces full of excitement.
"Ye Bai, come help quickly."
Ye Bai rushed over and discovered Meng Ziyi running over while carrying a pile of gold and silver jewelry, and beside her were several antique weapons and a book.
"Ye Bai, what is this?" Yang Mi asked excitedly.
Ye Bai opened the book and discovered the four large characters "Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon" written on it, and the annotation next to it read: "Original Text of the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon: Cultivate both internally and externally to achieve immortality."
This book was very precious because it was a set of Cultivate techniques created by the Yellow Emperor.
"This is the foundational chapter of the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon," Ye Bai explained.
"The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon? That's a legendary martial arts classic; Ye Bai, you are too awesome!" Yang Mi shouted in pleasant surprise.
Meng Ziyi also said excitedly, "The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon is a peerless Cultivate technique that has been passed down in China for hundreds of years. It is said that by practicing this book, one can ascend to immortality."
"Indeed, this book is priceless," Ye Bai marveled.
Yang Mi stuffed the book into Ye Bai's hands and said, "Ye Bai, we all know you are very powerful, so this book is for you! I heard that this set of techniques is specifically prepared for practitioners, so it will be very useful for you."
"Since you are so generous, I will accept it." Ye Bai nodded slightly and accepted Meng Ziyi's gift.
At this moment, they suddenly felt the ground beneath their feet vibrating more and more intensely, with sounds of cracking as if the ground were collapsing. Ye Bai frowned and said, "We cannot delay; let's leave here first."
...
Outside the Tomb, the Corpse Raisers were frantically crashing against the Iron Cage. The Iron Cage was made of copper, and although sturdy, it couldn't stop that group of Corpse Raisers at all.
"Boom!" With a loud noise, the Iron Cage exploded. The Corpse Raisers scrambled to escape.
Suddenly, their movements froze because their necks were wrapped in chains, and no matter how they struggled, it was to no avail.
"Hahaha..." An aged laugh drifted through the dark night, carrying a hint of evil.
"Your power belongs to me!"
Accompanying that voice, a powerful suction force spread out from deep within the ground.
"Crack!" The head of one Corpse Raiser rolled onto the ground, and then his torso and limbs rapidly withered away, leaving only skin and flesh in the blink of an eye.
