317: The power of a top expert, the secrets of special materials
The audience in the Live Stream Room was also extremely nervous.
"My god, this is too thrilling, Ye Bai and the others need to be careful!"
"I feel like those wolves could rush out at any moment, I hope they can survive this ordeal."
"This variety show is truly amazing; it's making my palms sweat just watching."
Ye Bai walked while keeping an eye on the surrounding environment.
He discovered some faint scratches on the walls of the Passage. These scratches appeared chaotic, but in the eyes of an expert like him, they held a special significance.
The depth and direction of these scratches seemed to have some connection to the Feng Shui Qi field; they might be warnings or clues left by predecessors.
"Look at these scratches, there might be a mystery here," Ye Bai said in a low voice to Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi, who was on his back.
"Mystery? What do you mean?" Yang Mi asked softly.
"The Qi field here is a bit chaotic. These scratches might be a type of Feng Shui hint; we must follow them," Ye Bai explained.
They moved slowly in the direction indicated by the scratches, the sound of wolf howls seeming to fade into the distance.
After walking for a while, a fork in the road appeared ahead. Both Passages were filled with mist and looked eerie.
"Which way do we go?" Meng Ziyi asked in a low voice.
Ye Bai looked at the scratches on the walls of the two Passages. The scratches on the left were relatively smooth and tended to guide the flow of the Qi field, while the scratches on the right were somewhat messy, seemingly gathering Evil Qi.
"Go left," Ye Bai said decisively.
When they stepped into the left Passage, the mist became thicker and thicker, to the point where they could barely see their own hands.
Ye Bai took out a small divination compass. The needle of the divination compass trembled slightly in the mist, guiding their direction.
"There is something wrong with this mist; it seems to be interfering with our perception," Ye Bai said, frowning.
Suddenly, a gust of cold wind blew, and some blurry figures appeared in the mist. They looked like human shapes, yet also like some kind of monster, slowly approaching them.
"Ah! What is that?" Yang Mi screamed in terror.
"Don't be afraid, it might be an illusion." Although Ye Bai said this, he still gripped the sword in his hand tightly.
The Live Stream Room was in an uproar again.
"The things in this mist are so scary. Could it be some new danger again?"
"Ye Bai, you must do your best. Make sure to protect Mi Mi and Ziyi."
The blurry figures drew closer and closer, and Ye Bai could feel a strong chill rushing towards his face.
He gathered his Internal Energy into his eyes, attempting to see through these illusions.
In the moment he exerted his Internal Energy, he saw that these figures were actually formed by the condensation of Yin Qi, and at their core were some white bones scattered on the ground.
"It is the white bones causing trouble. This place must be a gathering spot for Yin Qi; those wolves probably dare not come near," Ye Bai said.
He put Meng Ziyi down, took a few pieces of talisman paper from his backpack, muttered something, and then threw the talisman paper towards the figures. After the talisman paper touched the figures, it emitted a burst of light; the Yin Qi was dispersed a little, and the figures became blurry.
"We must leave here quickly; my talisman paper won't last long," Ye Bai said, picking up Meng Ziyi on his back again and running forward.
After running for a distance, the mist gradually dissipated, and they arrived at a huge Cave.
The top of the Cave was embedded with some glowing crystals, illuminating the Cave dimly.
In the center of the Cave was a huge circular Stone Platform, surrounded by a pool of water. The water in the pool appeared an eerie black and emitted a pungent odor.
"What is this place?" Meng Ziyi asked.
Ye Bai looked at the surrounding environment and discovered that the Feng Shui layout of this Cave was very peculiar.
The circular Stone Platform was located in the center of the Cave and was a place where Yang Qi gathered, while the surrounding black pool was the source of Yin Qi. The two checked and balanced each other.
But this balance seemed to have been broken, and the Yin Qi had a tendency to spread.
"The Feng Shui Formation here has been destroyed; we need to be careful," Ye Bai said.
Just then, the water in the pool began to churn, as if something was about to come out from inside. Ye Bai stared at the pool vigilantly, drawing his sword again.
Suddenly, a huge black claw reached out from the pool, grabbing towards them. Ye Bai swung his sword to strike the claw; the sword collided with the claw, splashing black water.
"What kind of monster is this?" Yang Mi screamed.
"It looks like a water beast nourished by Yin Qi; its strength is very strong," Ye Bai said, engaging with the water beast's claws again.
During the intense battle, Ye Bai discovered that the water beast's attacks always utilized the Yin Qi in the pool; its weakness might be at the Stone Platform where Yang Qi gathered.
"Let's lure it to the Stone Platform!" Ye Bai shouted.
They ran towards the Stone Platform, with the water beast in hot pursuit.
When the water beast approached the Stone Platform, it seemed to hesitate, and its attack speed slowed down.
Ye Bai seized the opportunity, jumped onto the back of the water beast, and stabbed its head with his sword.
The water beast felt the pain, struggled frantically, and crashed towards the Stone Platform.
With a "Boom!" sound, the water beast hit the Stone Platform, and the Stone Platform emitted a burst of light, enveloping the water beast within it.
The water beast let out painful howls in the light. Gradually, its body began to dissipate, eventually turning into a pool of black water.
"We succeeded!" Meng Ziyi said excitedly.
"Yes, but the Feng Shui Formation here still needs to be repaired, otherwise there will still be danger."
Ye Bai said, walking to the side of the Stone Platform and observing some patterns on it. These patterns were a type of ancient Feng Shui rune that recorded the method for repairing the Feng Shui Formation.
Following the instructions of the runes, Ye Bai took some special Materials from his backpack and began to repair the Feng Shui Formation. During the process of his repair, the Yin Qi in the Cave was gradually suppressed, and the Yang Qi began to rise again.
The audience in the Live Stream Room breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ye Bai is too amazing; he can even repair the Feng Shui Formation."
"I feel like this tomb raiding is truly thrilling, exciting, and full of mystery."
When the Feng Shui Formation was repaired, a new Passage appeared in the Cave.
They walked along the Passage, the walls of which were covered with Murals that told the history of this underground palace.
It turned out that this place was once a sacrificial site for an ancient mysterious sect. In order to pursue immortality, they performed various evil rituals, which led to this place being cursed and the Feng Shui Formation being destroyed.
"These people were truly crazy," Yang Mi said, looking at the Murals.
"That's right, their actions triggered countless disasters. We must find the core of this sect and completely lift the curse," Ye Bai said.
Continuing forward, they arrived at a Hall. In the Hall were many huge Statues. These Statues had various forms; some were human-shaped, others were beast-shaped, and each Statue exuded a mysterious aura.
"These Statues don't look simple," Meng Ziyi said.
Ye Bai walked around the Hall and discovered that the placement and orientation of these Statues followed strict Feng Shui principles; it seemed to be a huge Feng Shui array.
Furthermore, he noticed that the eyes of one of the Statues were flickering with light, as if implying something.
"Look at the eyes of that Statue," Ye Bai said, pointing at that Statue.
