318: Strange symbols, sealed evil spirits

The viewers in the Live Stream Room followed Ye Bai's guidance, their gazes focused on the Statue whose eyes were flashing with light. The bullet comments instantly surged like a tide.

"Wow, that light feels so mysterious. Could this be the key?"

"This Statue looks creepy. There won't be anything terrifying, right?"

"Boss Ye Bai is about to show off his Godly Moves again, I look forward to it!"

Ye Bai slowly walked toward the Statue, every step appearing extremely cautious, as if a mechanism could appear under the ground at any moment.

Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi followed closely behind him, their eyes nervously fixed on the surrounding Statues, afraid they might suddenly come alive.

When Ye Bai approached the Statue, he could feel the mysterious power emanating from it even more clearly.

The light seemed to flash rhythmically, as if transmitting some ancient message.

Ye Bai stretched out his hand, attempting to touch the eye area of the Statue. Just as his finger was about to make contact, an electric current sensation spread throughout his body, and he quickly retracted his hand.

"This Statue has a very strong Seal power. Rash contact might trigger danger," Ye Bai said to Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi.

The hearts of the viewers in the Live Stream Room also rose to their throats.

"That was close! Ye Bai, be careful!"

"I feel like there's great horror lurking behind this. This Variety Show is too exciting."

Ye Bai walked around the Statue once, carefully observing every detail.

He noticed that the base of the Statue was covered with strange symbols. These symbols were somewhat similar to the Feng Shui Runes seen previously on the Stone Platform, but there were subtle differences.

He took out the Ancient Book he carried with him and began cross-referencing to find the meaning of these symbols.

Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi watched nervously from the side. Yang Mi quietly asked, "Ye Bai, how is it? Can you find a clue?"

Ye Bai frowned deeply: "These symbols are very ancient. I need some time."

Just then, the other Statues in the Hall also began to stir.

The colors on their bodies, which were originally dull, seemed to brighten, and faint light flowed across them.

Faint halos of light also appeared in the eyes of some Statues, making the atmosphere of the entire Hall even more bizarre.

"Ah! Why are those Statues changing too?" Meng Ziyi cried out in terror.

There was an uproar in the Live Stream Room.

"My god, are they all going to resurrect? That's too scary!"

"I feel like Ye Bai and the others are about to be surrounded. What should they do?"

While continuing to study the symbols on the Statue's base, Ye Bai said, "Don't panic. The changes in these Statues should be related to the one emitting light. Let's first find a way to break it."

Suddenly, an anthropomorphic Statue closer to them slightly raised its arm and swung it toward their direction.

Ye Bai reacted quickly, pulling Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi back a few Steps.

The Statue's arm smashed onto the ground, making a dull sound, and cracks appeared on the floor.

"There's no time left, I have to try something."

As Ye Bai spoke, he took a handful of specially prepared cinnabar powder from his backpack and scattered it toward the eyes of the flashing Statue.

After the cinnabar powder hit the Statue, the light flashed violently, and the Statue seemed to emit a low roar.

Immediately after, the surrounding Statues moved even more violently, as if enraged. However, the light in the eyes of the Statue sprinkled with cinnabar powder gradually stabilized, no longer flashing so wildly.

"It seems to be working. This cinnabar powder can temporarily suppress its power," Ye Bai breathed a sigh of relief.

He continued studying the base symbols and finally found some clues in the Ancient Book. It turned out that these symbols were an ancient Sacrificial Language, recording the sequence for lifting the Statue's Seal.

"We must touch these Statues in a specific sequence to dismantle this Feng Shui Array," Ye Bai said to Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi.

They began moving through the Hall, touching the massive Statues sequentially according to the symbols' instructions.

Every time they touched a Statue, a beam of light flashed across its body. Light and shadow interwove throughout the entire Hall, creating a dreamlike scene, yet the inherent danger prevented anyone from letting down their guard.

During the process of touching them, unexpected situations occurred several times.

A beast-shaped Statue suddenly spat out a plume of black smoke. Inside the smoke, countless ghost faces seemed to be roaring.

Ye Bai quickly took out several yellow talismans, recited an Incantation, and tossed the yellow talismans into the smoke. The yellow talismans burned in the smoke, the ghost faces let out shrill cries, and the smoke gradually dispersed.

"These are the Evil Spirits Sealed within the Statues; they want to stop us," Ye Bai said.

The viewers in the Live Stream Room watched with trepidation.

"This is too terrifying, those ghost faces are so scary!"

"Ye Bai can resolve the crisis every time. He's really amazing, but I'm still so worried."

After a great effort, they finally finished touching all the Statues in sequence. As the last Statue flashed with light, a rumbling sound echoed throughout the entire Hall, as if some massive mechanism was operating.

Cracks began to appear on the ground, and bright light shone through them. Ye Bai walked towards the brightest spot and found a staircase leading to a deeper underground level.

"It seems we have to go down. That place should be the core location of this ancient Mysterious Sect," Ye Bai said.

They slowly descended the staircase. The further down they went, the lower the temperature, and a chilling coldness assaulted them.

The walls on both sides of the staircase were covered with various terrifying patterns: tormented Souls and bloody Sacrificial Scenes, making anyone who saw them shudder.

"These patterns... why do they feel a bit familiar..." Ye Bai muttered in confusion.

Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi also felt that these patterns looked familiar.

Suddenly, Meng Ziyi's eyes widened, and she cried out, "I know what they are! The Haunted House recorded in the Ancient Book!"

The three continued their descent.

Shortly after, the three arrived in a spacious Grand Hall.

Inside the Hall stood a metal sculpture about ten meters high. This sculpture was clad in Silver Armor, held a Long Spear, and looked mighty and imposing. The sculpture's surface was covered with thick dust, but one could still tell that it was extremely ancient.

The sculpture stood upon a long flight of Steps that extended to the top of the Grand Hall, leading to an unknown location.

Countless exquisite patterns and inscriptions were carved onto the sculpture's body. Although mottled, they were still recognizable. These were all Antiques, and priceless.

These Ancient Objects shared a common characteristic—they were dark red, blood-colored, and covered in scars, appearing ferocious and terrifying.

Ye Bai walked up the Steps, carefully examining the sculpture.

Suddenly, his gaze stopped on the index finger of the sculpture's right hand. A Ring was worn on the sculpture's index finger, but because of the extreme passage of time, the patterns on the Ring had long since worn off and disappeared, leaving only a faint circle of green.

The style of this Ring was very unique. Ye Bai felt like he had seen it somewhere before. After thinking for a long time, a vague memory surfaced in his mind.
