397: This is a highly confidential location; only those in the know can handle it.

Ye Bai led the group as they slowly retreated.

The mist, like thick cotton batting, grew increasingly dense, wrapping around their figures in layers and causing visibility to shrink drastically.

Only hazy shadows remained just a few steps away.

Fatty gripped the luoyang shovel in his hand tightly, his voice trembling as he feigned composure. "Master Ye, this ghost of a place is incredibly wicked. Those stone walls are as hard as iron lumps; even bullets can't do anything to them. Did we stumble into some deadly formation eye?"

Xin Xin was scared out of her wits, her face pale as she clutched Yang Mi's arm, shivering. "Sister Mi, why do I feel a chill all over, like countless eyes are staring at us? If I'd known tomb robbing was this terrifying, I wouldn't have come to join the fun even if you killed me."

Although Yang Mi was also terrified deep down, she bit her lip and comforted her, "Don't be afraid. Mr. Ye is here. He has great supernatural powers and will surely keep us safe."

Despite her words, the look she gave Ye Bai was full of pleas for help and anxiety.

Ye Bai stood in place, eyes closed as he concentrated. Using the keen perception he had honed through years of tomb robbing, he captured the subtle fluctuations in the surrounding aura.

A moment later, he opened his eyes, a flash of certainty crossing his cold gaze.

"This stone wall should be part of an ancient formation. It uses Yin Qi as a guide, absorbing the surrounding evil energy to reinforce itself. Ordinary methods won't break it."

After saying that, he pulled a stack of yellow talismans from the depths of his backpack. The talisman paper was old but radiated an ancient spiritual power, and the runes outlined in cinnabar seemed to have a faint light flowing through them.

"Everyone, form a circle and don't move. I'll try to break one corner of this formation."

Ye Bai gave a low shout. The yellow talismans in his hand fluttered like butterflies, and while chanting, he stuck one yellow talisman to the ground.

Using his finger as a brush and dipping it in his own cinnabar ink, he quickly drew complex incantation patterns around the area.

The Live Stream Room audience stared intently at the screen, and the bullet comments were also flooding the screen frantically.

"The Streamer is about to use a big move; it feels even more exciting than before!"

"God Ye is invincible! Hurry up and break this evil formation. My heart aches seeing our Mi Mi scared like this."

"I knew following Ye Bai would be worth watching. This 'underworld' live stream is too addictive."

Once the incantation patterns were finished, the yellow talisman suddenly ignited with a ghostly blue flame, sizzling loudly.

The stone wall actually seemed to sense it and began to tremble, the ink-like Yin Qi on its surface rolling down like cold sweat.

Ye Bai took the opportunity to shout: "Break!"

He pushed forward with both palms, and a gust of strong wind enveloped in a faint light crashed against the stone wall.

With a "crack," a corner of the stone wall shattered, sending stone fragments flying.

The mist was also torn open, revealing a bit of clarity.

Just as everyone breathed a sigh of relief, a sharp howl came from the crack, sounding like ghosts wailing and wolves howling.

Several Dried Corpses lunged forward, baring their fangs and claws. Their movements were stiff, yet their speed was startling.

Fatty cursed, "Damn it, these things are still Yin Souls that won't dissipate!"

He swung his luoyang shovel to meet them, striking the shoulder of the leading Dried Corpse, but it only produced a few sparks.

That Dried Corpse was actually unharmed and lunged its hand toward his neck.

Ye Bai's figure flashed as he blocked the path in front of Fatty. At some point, a peach wood sword covered in runes had appeared in his hand.

Amidst the flickering light, his sword moved like a dragon, piercing toward the Dried Corpse's brow.

The peach wood sword ignited upon contact, and the Dried Corpse was instantly enveloped in flames, howling in pain before turning to ash.

"Don't just stand there! Scatter glutinous rice around to keep the other Dried Corpses from getting close."

Ye Bai commanded while fending them off.

Everyone hurriedly pulled out bags of glutinous rice. Although Yang Mi and Xin Xin were afraid, they endured it and scattered the rice with trembling hands.

The glutinous rice hit the ground, sizzling and smoking, forming a simple defensive line.

Taking advantage of this gap, Ye Bai bit the tip of his tongue and spat a mouthful of blood essence onto the peach wood sword, causing the golden light on the blade to flare up brilliantly.

He leaped toward the crack in the stone wall, brandishing his sword wildly while chanting: "All evils retreat, let the universe be clear!"

The sword wind whistled, forcing all the remaining Dried Corpses back, and the mist mostly dissipated.

Once the crisis was slightly averted, everyone slumped to the ground, panting heavily.

Ye Bai examined the passage behind the stone wall with a solemn expression. "This is just the beginning. I'm afraid there's even more danger ahead. The bronze statue is of great importance; it should be the key to suppressing the evil entities here. We can't give up halfway."

Fatty complained with a bitter face, "Master Ye, we're gambling with our lives here. Can't we find some help or something? A few more people would at least boost our courage."

Ye Bai glanced at him. "In such a secret and dangerous place, more people easily lead to variables. Besides, there are few who know the trade; coming here would just be seeking death."

After saying that, he organized his gear and was the first to step into the passage.

A decaying scent permeated the passage, and the walls were covered in eerie bas-reliefs.

There were monsters with human faces and snake bodies intertwined, and scenes of evil ghosts devouring hearts, which made one's heart race with fear.

Xin Xin asked with a trembling voice, "What do these drawings mean? They look so terrifying. They couldn't be predicting our fate, could they?"

Ye Bai said in a heavy voice, "It's the past of the things sealed by the ancient formation. The evil things sealed here are ancient and powerful. Once they lose control, the consequences will be unimaginable. That's why so many mechanisms and obstacles were set up."

The Live Stream Room audience listened with surging emotions, and the bullet comments one after another urged them to delve deeper into the mystery.

Halfway through, a stone slab underfoot suddenly sank, and poison arrows shot out from both sides.

Ye Bai was quick-eyed and fast-handed, swinging his peach wood sword to parry them with several clangs.

The poison arrows scattered across the floor, their tips emitting green smoke, clearly coated in deadly poison.

Yang Mi cried out, "This is too dangerous! We almost fell for it."

Ye Bai knelt down to check the stone slab mechanism, frowning. "The design is ingenious, with each part linked to the next. We must be careful."

He took tools from his bag and carefully dismantled the mechanism, beads of sweat appearing on his forehead from his intense focus.

After some tinkering, the mechanism stopped operating.

The group continued forward, reaching a massive Tomb Chamber at the end.

In the center stood that bronze statue, except its body was wrapped in black iron chains, the other ends of which disappeared into the ground, seemingly sealing something.

However, the surrounding area was densely packed with fresh corpses, just like those seen on the shore earlier.

Their hearts had been hollowed out, and blood flowed all over the floor, a shocking sight to behold.

Fatty screamed, "Master Ye, what's going on? We just finished with the Dried Corpses and now these show up. Did we stumble into an evil entity's nest?"

Ye Bai's face was grim as he looked around.

There was a small incense burner in each of the four corners of the Tomb Chamber, with thin trails of green smoke rising from them, emitting a strange fragrance.

His heart stirred, and he stepped forward quickly to investigate. "Not good. This is a formation for sacrificing to evil entities, using living lives as sacrifices to strengthen the evil entity's power in an attempt to break the seal."

As he spoke, the bronze statue shook violently, the iron chains clattered, cracks opened in the ground, and a blood-red light shone through.

It seemed as if some terrifying thing was about to burst out from the ground.

The Live Stream Room was instantly covered in a dense layer of bullet comments, filled with terrified screams.

The entire screen was filled with 'bullet comment protection' messages.

Ye Bai quickly pulled an ancient book from his robe and searched for the corresponding solution, chanting: "Time is running out. We must reforged the seal. Fatty, help me guard the perimeter, don't let the evil entities interfere!"

Fatty gritted his teeth, gripped his shovel, and stood guard at the four corners with the actresses, pouring glutinous rice, black dog blood, and other items into the cracks to delay the evil entity's appearance.

Ye Bai performed a hand seal and recited an incantation, tossing the peach wood sword into the air. With his hands in a seal, he bowed three times to the heavens and spoke the true words: "Execute the order with haste!"
