273: Shi Mingjin Buddha, the boss really thought of everything.

Ye Bai cautiously squeezed into the cave. The interior was filled with a mysterious aura. Holding a torch, he illuminated the path ahead, taking every step with extreme caution.

Outside the cave, Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi waited nervously.

“Ziyi, do you think Brother Ye will run into danger?” Yang Mi asked worriedly.

Meng Ziyi bit her lip softly. “Probably not. Brother Ye is so capable; he can definitely handle it.”

“But this place is too eerie. I just can't feel at ease.” Yang Mi tightly gripped the jade pendant in her hand, as if it were her only source of security.

Inside the cave, Ye Bai moved forward slowly when he suddenly heard a faint 'drip-drop' sound. He stopped and listened carefully, realizing the sound came from not far ahead. He approached slowly and saw a small pool appear before him, with a drop of water slowly falling from above.

Ye Bai squatted down to observe the pool. The water was crystal clear but emitted a strange glow. He reached out a finger and lightly touched the surface, instantly feeling a cool sensation spread throughout his body.

“This pool seems to have something strange about it,” Ye Bai thought to himself.

Just then, he heard faint footsteps behind him. He quickly stood up and turned around to see two dark shadows rapidly approaching. Ye Bai's eyes narrowed, and he swung his torch, illuminating the two shadows.

They turned out to be two strange creatures that looked like rats but were much larger, and they emitted a pungent odor.

“What are these things?” Ye Bai frowned.

The two creatures seemed startled by the torch, pausing for a moment before lunging at Ye Bai again. Ye Bai dodged to the side, evading their attack. He quickly drew a Dagger from his waist, preparing for battle.

The two creatures lunged again, and Ye Bai brandished his Dagger, engaging them in a fierce struggle. During the fight, Ye Bai noticed that while these creatures were ferocious, their movements were rather clumsy. Using his agility, he gradually gained the upper hand.

After a fierce battle, Ye Bai finally succeeded in repelling the two creatures. Panting heavily, he looked at the carcasses on the ground, his heart full of doubt.

“Just how many unknown dangers are there in this cave?” Ye Bai muttered to himself.

He decided to continue exploring deeper to see what secrets this cave was hiding.

Outside the cave, Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi grew increasingly anxious.

“Ziyi, how about we go in and take a look?” Yang Mi suggested.

Meng Ziyi hurriedly shook her head. “No, Brother Ye told us to wait here. We shouldn't act without permission.”

“But I'm really worried about Brother Ye.” Yang Mi's face was full of concern.

“Let's wait a bit longer. I believe Brother Ye will be fine,” Meng Ziyi comforted her.

“Alright... I hope Brother Ye is safe and sound.”

Inside the cave, Ye Bai continued to grope his way forward. He noticed the surrounding walls were somewhat damp and still bore a faint scent of blood. This scent was very thick, indicating that someone had been injured and lost quite a bit of blood here.

Suddenly, a narrow Passage appeared ahead, covered in dust and looking long-abandoned.

“Why is there a Passage like this here? Did many people die here back then?”

Ye Bai was extremely surprised. He stepped into the Passage and followed it inward. Just as he entered, he heard the sound of gurgling water.

The sound was very pleasant, like heavenly music, making Ye Bai's spirit lift. He quickened his pace, following the sound of the water. Finally, on a rock near the exit ahead, he discovered a pool of bright red blood!

“Someone actually died here?”

Ye Bai was shocked and rushed over. He bent down to pick up a trace of the blood, sniffed it, and then said, “This should be from a female corpse.”

He cast his gaze around. This Passage was very spacious, but because it was so old, it had long since fallen into disrepair. Rubble was piled on both sides of the Passage. At the end of the Passage was an iron door. Currently, the iron door was open, and a faint yellow light leaked out from within.

Ye Bai hesitated for a moment before finally pushing the door open and walking inside.

As he pushed open the iron door, his field of vision suddenly broadened to reveal a massive Underground Palace. The palace was empty; except for several huge pillars and some sculptures, the rest of the space was vacant.

Before him was a winding stone staircase. He stepped forward. After walking for about half an hour, a wide, bright Stone Corridor came into view.

The Stone Corridor was arranged in an arc, reaching a length of at least several hundred meters.

The floor inside was paved with green stone, its surface oily and shiny, giving off an aura of ancient charm.

Reaching the end, Ye Bai's vision expanded once more.

He saw a long Stone Stairway extending directly upward. At the top of the stairs was a Stone Chamber. Candles were lit inside the Stone Chamber, and the furnishings were simple.

Directly facing Ye Bai's position was a three-foot-tall Golden Buddha. This Golden Buddha was translucent all over, looking like it was made of jade. And on the chest of this Golden Buddha, a fist-sized luminous pearl was embedded.

Ye Bai was overjoyed; this luminous pearl alone was worth as much as a Mercedes-Benz. This Golden Buddha was even more priceless!

“I didn't expect such an accidental harvest.” Ye Bai grinned.

Suddenly, he noticed a thick Sutra lying at the feet of the Golden Buddha.

Ye Bai gazed at the Golden Buddha and the Sutra, silently pondering his next move. Meanwhile, outside the cave, Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi were becoming increasingly anxious.

“Ziyi, it's been so long and Brother Ye hasn't come out yet. I'm really worried to death.” Yang Mi furrowed her brows tightly, clutching her jade pendant even harder.

Meng Ziyi also showed a look of concern, but she forced herself to stay calm. “Mi Mi, don't worry too much. Brother Ye definitely has a way to handle it. Let's wait patiently a bit longer.”

Inside the cave, Ye Bai cautiously picked up the Sutra and gently flipped it open. The pages of the Sutra had yellowed, but the handwriting on them was still clearly legible. As Ye Bai carefully studied the contents, he discovered it actually recorded some secrets of Feng Shui Metaphysics regarding this Underground Palace.

According to the Sutra, this Underground Palace was built according to a specific Feng Shui layout for the purpose of suppressing some kind of evil power. Ye Bai felt a chill in his heart, realizing there might be even greater dangers hidden here.

Just as Ye Bai was immersed in the contents of the Sutra, he suddenly heard faint footsteps coming from behind. He alertly put down the Sutra, gripped his Dagger, and slowly turned around. He saw Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi cautiously walking into the Underground Palace.

“Why did you come in? Didn't I tell you to wait outside?” Ye Bai frowned and scolded them.
