386: Ancient Greek totems, moving characters
Ye Bai remained calm and composed as he pulled a sharp dagger from his backpack, its hilt engraved with mysterious Runes.
"Don't panic. Although this Python is large, it's not impossible to deal with."
Yang Mi hid behind Ye Bai, tightly clutching the hem of his clothes, her voice trembling, "Brother Ye Bai, you must be careful."
Ye Bai nodded slightly and, moving like a bolt of lightning, instantly charged towards the Python.
The Python seemed to sense danger; its massive body twisted suddenly, and its tail swept toward Ye Bai like a steel whip.
Ye Bai leaped into the air, dodging the fierce strike, while simultaneously stabbing his dagger hard into the Python's seven-inch mark.
The Python hissed in pain, letting out a deafening roar as its bloody maw lunged at Ye Bai.
Ye Bai nimbly dodged to the side, his dagger carving a long gash into the Python's body.
Fatty watched from the side, dumbfounded. "Mr. Ye, that's incredible! You're practically a Martial Arts Master!"
Ye Bai was in the heat of a fierce battle with the Python, dodging its attacks while searching for a weakness.
"This Python has thick skin and tough flesh; it's hard to deal with. I need to find a way."
Yang Mi suddenly shouted, "Brother Ye Bai, its eyes! Attack its eyes!"
Ye Bai's eyes lit up. Taking advantage of a gap in the Python's attacks, he lunged toward its head and thrust his dagger at its eye.
The Python seemed to realize the danger and tried to dodge, but it was too late.
Ye Bai's dagger accurately pierced the Python's left eye. The Python thrashed in agony, its massive body crushing the surrounding trees.
Taking the opportunity, Ye Bai charged at the Python's vital spot again, plunging his dagger in with all his strength. After a few struggles, the Python finally stopped moving.
Fatty breathed a long sigh of relief. "Finally finished. Mr. Ye, with your skills, it's a pity you're not in the movies."
Ye Bai wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Stop joking. We need to hurry on our way."
The further they went, the more rugged and difficult the mountain path became.
"Ouch, my foot."
A delicate cry rang out.
Everyone turned around to see that Yang Mi had twisted her ankle.
Ye Bai hurriedly knelt down to check. "Are you okay? Can you still walk?"
Yang Mi bit her lip. "I'll try." But as soon as she applied pressure, she gasped in pain.
Fatty said from the side, "Mr. Ye, let me carry her on my back."
Ye Bai shook his head. "No need, I'll do it."
He gently lifted Yang Mi onto his back and continued forward.
As they walked, they discovered an ancient Stone Door ahead.
The Stone Door was covered in strange symbols and patterns.
Fatty approached curiously. "What's carved on here?"
Ye Bai examined the Stone Door closely. "These are some ancient sacrificial patterns. It seems things inside won't be simple."
From Ye Bai's back, Yang Mi asked, "Could there be some treasure inside?"
Ye Bai smiled. "I don't know about treasure, but there's certainly plenty of danger."
He felt around the Stone Door and found a hidden mechanism.
Ye Bai pressed the mechanism hard, and the Stone Door slowly opened, releasing a musty scent. It was pitch black inside, like a bottomless abyss.
Ye Bai took a flashlight from his backpack and cautiously stepped through the Stone Door. Fatty and Yang Mi followed closely behind.
"Mr. Ye, slow down," Fatty warned worriedly.
The space inside the Stone Door was enormous. As far as the eye could see, it was filled with Stone Pillars carved with various strange patterns and some Murals.
Outside the Stone Door was a flight of steps leading into the unknown depths.
Ye Bai shone his flashlight around and discovered that the patterns carved on the Stone Pillars were actually an interlude from Heavenly Demon!
This surprised Ye Bai. "How could an interlude from Heavenly Demon appear here?"
Just then, a melodious tune echoed in their ears.
The melody seemed to possess a mysterious magic. Ye Bai suddenly felt his body become light, and his whole being felt airy, as if he were riding on clouds and mist.
Ye Bai was shocked. This was definitely someone playing tricks!
He focused his mind and suppressed the strange sensation.
Fatty and Yang Mi also heard the melody; their heads felt heavy, and their vision began to blur.
Not far away, an Ancient Tomb stood silently, exuding an air of ancient desolation.
Yang Mi murmured, "This place... should be an Ancient Tomb, right?"
Ye Bai asked, "How do you know?"
Yang Mi said, "Because I read about it in a history textbook. During the late Qing and Republican periods, an Archaeological Team excavated such an Ancient Tomb. It's said there were many priceless and rare Funerary Objects inside."
Ye Bai frowned. "So what? It has nothing to do with us."
Yang Mi sighed. "It's a pity for all those treasures."
Just then, Ye Bai suddenly saw a Skeleton lying inside a coffin.
The owner of the Skeleton was about twenty-six or twenty-seven years old, dressed in ancient clothing, wearing a Golden Crown, holding a long sword, and had handsome features.
He had a hideous expression in death, with eyes wide open, as if unable to die in peace.
Ye Bai was shocked. He rushed over to check and confirmed it was indeed a corpse. He looked up at the Dome above and realized they were actually at a Cliffside.
Fatty walked over. "Where are we?"
Ye Bai pointed at the Skeleton and said solemnly, "This is an Emperor. He died in a war, murdered here."
Fatty exclaimed, "An Emperor's Mausoleum?"
"Not entirely."
Ye Bai said flatly.
"We're rich now." Fatty was practically drooling.
Ye Bai snorted. "In your dreams. Setting aside whether this is a Tomb Chamber, even if it is an Ancient Tomb, it would have been looted by Tomb Robbers long ago. Besides, who knows if there are any unknown Vicious Beasts inside."
"I don't care. Since we've come across it, I won't be satisfied until we explore it." Having said that, Fatty excitedly jumped onto the Stone Door.
Ye Bai pulled him back. "Wait, the patterns on this Stone Door look a bit like Totems from Ancient Greek Mythology, or perhaps some Deity."
Fatty was dismissive. "Deities? You think there are really deities in this world? Let me tell you, it's all a scam!"
Fatty urged, "Hey! Mr. Ye, hurry up and find a way to push open the Stone Door."
Ye Bai ignored him and turned to Yang Mi and Fatty. "The two of you stand together, but don't get too close."
"Mr. Ye?"
"Stop talking and just do it!"
Fatty curled his lip, and although reluctant, he eventually stood obediently against the wall.
Yang Mi was puzzled. "Mr. Ye?"
"Follow my orders, and don't get too far away!"
Ye Bai's expression was serious. Yang Mi hesitated for a moment, then followed Fatty's lead, standing straight and maintaining her distance.
Everyone held their breath; no one except Ye Bai knew what would happen next.
Just then, the Talismanic Incantation on the Stone Door suddenly flickered with light.
Fatty cried out, "Mr. Ye, those Runes are moving!"
Ye Bai narrowed his eyes, staring at the Runes on the Stone Door.
