371: The clues matched up; it was a long-lost ancient map.
The two women leaned in curiously: "Brother Ye, why are you sighing? Did you discover something?"
"Mm." Ye Bai nodded. "The patterns on this silver coin are similar to other artifacts in the tomb."
After saying that, he pointed to several bronze pieces by his feet: "Look at these bronzewares; their surfaces are also engraved with patterns. Although I don't understand what these patterns mean, I have a feeling of familiarity."
"Is that so?" Meng Ziyi squatted down to examine the patterns on the bronzeware.
She suddenly looked up, her beautiful eyes sparkling with excitement: "This is Ancient Egyptian script, and it's also our Huaxia script!"
A sharp glint flashed in Ye Bai's eyes as he smiled: "As I suspected, the owner of this Ancient Tomb should be a person of Huaxia. He built an Ancient Tomb here but didn't want it to be excavated, so he flew into a rage."
"So that's how it is." The two women realized. "No wonder the material of these stone coffins is so hard that even artillery fire can't do anything to them."
"Alright, let's continue our exploration. I can't wait to see what's inside that stone coffin," Meng Ziyi said with anticipation.
Ye Bai scolded with a laugh: "Look at how excited you are. Do you think that stone coffin is made of gold?"
Meng Ziyi stuck out her tongue.
Next, the four of them walked straight ahead along the Tomb Passage.
The Tomb Passage was narrow, allowing only one person to pass at a time, and various patterns were carved on the walls on both sides.
"Wow, these patterns are truly lifelike," Meng Ziyi couldn't help but exclaim.
"Yeah," Yang Mi also nodded in agreement.
"Huh? Brother Ye, there's actually a hole here. Can we go in?"
Meng Ziyi asked in confusion when she saw a dark hole not far ahead.
"This Passage should lead to the depths of the Tomb Chamber. Let's go take a look; who knows if we'll find something."
Ye Bai was full of curiosity about this place. He walked to the edge of the hole, reached inside to feel around, and found it was damp.
He whispered: "You guys stand outside. I'll go in and check first. If I find any danger, we stop immediately."
"Got it," Yang Mi nodded.
Ye Bai jumped down into the hole and slowly descended the steps.
He observed his surroundings cautiously and found it was pitch black inside, so dark he couldn't see his own hand.
However, Ye Bai possessed night vision, so he wasn't afraid. He followed the steps all the way down and finally reached the depths of the Tomb Chamber.
He saw boxes piled up in the depths of the Tomb Chamber. Some boxes even had talisman paper stuck to them, indicating there was something inside.
"These boxes are for preserving antiques. Since there are antiques, we should be able to find clues." With a thought, Ye Bai placed his palm on a wooden box.
Hum!
The box vibrated once and then returned to normal.
"Hmm? Is it not working?" Ye Bai frowned and channeled his Essence Energy again, attempting to break the seal on the wooden box.
The wooden box shook violently.
"It's working!" Ye Bai was delighted and put more effort into using his Essence Energy to attack the wooden box, trying to lift the seal on it.
As Ye Bai attacked, the seal on the wooden box was gradually broken. The shape of the wooden box slowly changed, and the patterns on it became clearly visible.
When the wooden box completely transformed into a simple and heavy Scroll, Ye Bai gave the box a hard push, and dust flew up instantly.
He squinted his eyes and looked at the contents of the Scroll.
This was a map marked with some special symbols.
"A map!" Ye Bai was extremely surprised.
"These markings... could they be..." His heart stirred.
The symbols on the map were very similar to markings of key locations in Huaxia's history; even the style was similar. This was definitely no coincidence.
He looked at another wooden box, and the patterns on it were exactly the same as the map.
"Could this be a treasure map?"
"A treasure map?"
Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi leaned over.
Ye Bai unfolded the map and pointed to a red dot on it, saying to Meng Ziyi: "Xiao Meng, look here."
Meng Ziyi took out her phone for light and saw the red dot on the map.
"Where is this?"
In the Live Stream Room, the Archaeologists were so shocked they were speechless as they looked at the map in Ye Bai's hands.
"This... this looks like a long-lost ancient map!"
An old archaeologist said excitedly, his voice trembling with exhilaration, his eyes fixed on the screen.
It was as if he wanted to engrave every detail of the map into his mind.
"Judging from the style and markings of the map, it is highly likely related to some mysterious ancient treasure site. This is of great significance for our study of ancient history and culture."
Another scholar added, his hands unconsciously clenching, fine beads of sweat appearing on his forehead as he watched Ye Bai and the others' next move with tension and anticipation.
"If this truly is a treasure map, the value of the artifacts inside is immeasurable, and it might fill the gaps in our knowledge of a certain ancient period. But I hope they don't act recklessly; protecting the safety of the artifacts is most important."
A female archaeologist said worriedly, her brow furrowed and her eyes full of concern.
Ye Bai looked at the red dot on the map, and after a moment of contemplation, he said: "The place marked by this red dot, I guess it might be a secret treasure trove of some ancient emperor or noble, and perhaps it has some connection with the Ancient Tomb we encountered this time."
"Then should we go take a look?" Curiosity sparkled in Meng Ziyi's eyes.
"It's too dangerous, right? We don't even know what's there." Yang Mi was a bit hesitant.
Ye Bai frowned: "We've already come this far; we can't give up halfway. But there will definitely be more dangers along the way, so you must be prepared."
The audience in the Live Stream Room also exploded with excitement.
"Are they going treasure hunting? How exciting!"
"I hope they'll be safe. I really want to know what's at the red dot."
The Archaeologists also left messages in the bullet comments.
"Be sure to treat this map with care; it might be the key to solving ancient mysteries."
"If you are going to the place marked by the red dot, I hope they can pay attention to protecting any artifacts that might exist."
Ye Bai put the map away, and the three of them continued forward along the Tomb Passage.
After walking for a while, they found a huge Stone Door appearing ahead, covered with various strange patterns and symbols.
"These symbols look so complex, like some kind of ancient code." Meng Ziyi leaned close to the Stone Door to observe carefully.
Ye Bai was also studying the patterns on the Stone Door. He found that these patterns seemed to have some similarities with the textures he had seen on the bronzeware and silver coins before.
"This Stone Door might need the puzzle of these symbols to be solved before it can be opened," Ye Bai said.
Yang Mi watched from the side and suddenly pointed to a pattern: "Look, this pattern looks so much like the one we saw on the stone coffin. Could there be a connection?"
Ye Bai looked in the direction she pointed, and his heart stirred.
