384: Don't be surprised, I'm just an ordinary person.

When Ye Bai stood in the middle of the Sacrificial Altar, the tremors in the Stone Chamber vanished.

The Stone Door rumbled shut once more, returning to silence.

"Damn, Great Master is too awesome!" Fatty exclaimed.

Yang Mi's beautiful large eyes stared at Ye Bai: "Brother Ye, what exactly did you do before?"

Ye Bai shrugged and smiled: "I am just an ordinary person."

Fatty sneered disdainfully: "Pretend! Keep pretending!"

Ye Bai chuckled.

The group returned to the room that might have been hiding corpses, only to find that the bodies of the two girls who were previously lying in the coffin were gone, leaving only empty skeletons in the coffin.

Yang Mi and Fatty turned pale, looking at Ye Bai in disbelief.

Ye Bai spread his hands and explained: "They had been dead for a long time; I used talisman water to summon their souls away."

Upon hearing this, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Fatty patted his chest, relieved: "Great Master really has a way."

Ye Bai scanned the surrounding environment: "See if there are any special marks here; someone should have been to this mountain."

Yang Mi walked to the cabinet next to the stone table and opened the drawers to take a look: "There's nothing, they are all identical boxes."

Ye Bai narrowed his eyes, pondering: "Strange, I clearly felt that someone had been here, so why are there no traces left behind?"

"Great Master, are you sure you didn't sense it wrong?" Yang Mi asked.

"Definitely not, someone has definitely been here!" Fatty said decisively.

He leaned towards the cabinet, looking at the porcelain bottles filling it, and said: "These should all be poisons! I think those two girls were likely poisoned to death. I don't know what that old guy is up to in here."

Fatty revealed the mystery in one sentence, and the others suddenly realized.

"This old guy is truly vicious, he didn't even spare two young girls!" Xin Xin said indignantly.

Yang Mi's expression also looked somewhat ugly: "My dad once told me that some Antiques dealers like to develop various deadly poisons to kill people to silence them!"

Ye Bai was thoughtful, then suddenly said: "Look, there seems to be one more thing in here."

The group immediately gathered around and discovered a wooden plaque in the corner with two words written on it — "Qin terracotta figurines".

The qin dynasty was the ruler during the Warring States period; in times of war, the qin dynasty cast many Qin terracotta figurines as a symbol of the emperor.

These Qin terracotta figurines remained lifelike after thousands of years, looking just like living things.

Fatty stared in amazement: "Damn, can there really be such exquisite terracotta figurines in this world?"

The group carefully observed the Qin terracotta figurines, discovering that they wore armor and held weapons, looking very mighty.

Yang Mi murmured: "My dad once said that the First Emperor of Qin built an underground city, consuming countless craftsmen and almost half of the dynasty's national treasury, but in the end, it was never completed."

Ye Bai remained silent. He looked at the Qin terracotta figurines, as if seeing an epic battle through them.

That night of rivers of blood, beacon fires and smoke, severed limbs and broken arms, was shocking to witness.

Fatty swallowed and said: "The value of Qin terracotta figurines is extremely high. I heard that this kind of Qin Terracotta Figurine is more expensive than gold and could sell for a lot of money!"

Yang Mi's eyes were hazy, and she said in a daze: "If only we could take back a Qin Terracotta Figurine, that would be great!"

Ye Bai said: "I advise you not to think about it."

"Why?" Yang Mi retorted: "These Qin terracotta figurines are treasures of Huaxia; I think we should take them back."

Ye Bai glanced at her indifferently: "This is the underground city that hadn't been discovered before."

Yang Mi froze. She hadn't expected that the legendary underground city was actually hidden in the belly of the mountain, and contained such rare items as Qin terracotta figurines!

"But..." Yang Mi said hesitantly: "But what can we use to take them away? These Qin terracotta figurines are perfectly preserved, we can't move them at all!"

Fatty said: "Dummy, this is a Robbers Tunnel, just dig a Robbers Tunnel, right?"

Ye Bai nodded appreciatively; this Fatty was quite sharp.

Yang Mi scratched her head in distress and said: "But we don't have tools."

Ye Bai said: "I'll help!"

Fatty chuckled: "I knew long ago that you were a person of great ability, Great Master."

Ye Bai took a shovel and pickaxe out of his bag and pried a small hole in the ground.

"Great Master, you are truly amazing!" Yang Mi praised, thinking to herself that Ye Bai was truly an extraordinary man.

Ye Bai dug for a distance with the shovel and pickaxe, then suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" Fatty asked worriedly.

Ye Bai shook his head and said: "There is something strange!"

"What's strange?" Yang Mi asked hurriedly.

"This pit is strange!" Ye Bai frowned: "The soil quality I dug into isn't right; it's not only soft and mushy, but it also has a fishy stench!"

Yang Mi and Fatty were startled upon hearing this: "What does this mean?"

Ye Bai said: "I suspect that there are corpses buried inside!"

Fatty screamed, trembling all over in fright.

Yang Mi, however, said excitedly: "Since there are corpses, there must be Antiques! Great Master, let's hurry up and find the treasure!"

"Don't get excited, this kind of Ancient Tomb usually has zombies guarding it!" Ye Bai gave her a warning look.

"Zombies?" Yang Mi gasped, her pretty face turning as pale as paper.

"Great Master, are you kidding us?"

Ye Bai said seriously: "Do you think I'm just messing around?"

Fatty shrank his neck and said weakly: "Great Master, you aren't trying to scare us, right?"

Ye Bai rolled his eyes: "Why would I waste time lying to you! Look for yourselves, the soil in this pit is purplish-black, and the surface has signs of decay."

Fatty poked his head out, examined it carefully, and said: "It really is! Great Master, look, there are deep patterns in the soil, as dense as a spider web. Could there be some kind of bugs inside?"

Ye Bai pondered: "It is Blood Corpse Gu!"

"What the hell is Blood Corpse Gu?"

"Blood Corpse Gu, as the name implies, is an evil Gu insect fed with fresh blood! Blood Corpse Gu specifically eats the flesh of dead corpses; as soon as it encounters blood, it will burrow into a person's body until it devours the Host's bone marrow!" Ye Bai explained.

Fatty exclaimed: "Damn! That's so terrifying!"

Yang Mi covered her mouth and asked: "Then, what should we do?"

Ye Bai said: "These Blood Corpse Gu usually come out to forage at night. Let's clear out this underground palace first."

"But there are only four of us in total, we can't possibly deal with it!" Yang Mi said anxiously.

"Rest assured, I have a way." Ye Bai smiled slightly.

Ye Bai chased Fatty back to his original position and began digging a hole in the wall with the shovel and pickaxe himself.

Ye Bai dug out scoop by scoop. Every time he dug about an inch deep, a cold, damp, fishy wind would rush towards his nose.

"Not good, it's coming!" Ye Bai let out a low roar and quickly dodged to the side.

"Boom~" Accompanied by a loud noise, a heavy bronze outer coffin crashed to the ground, splashing up a cloud of dust.

Fatty was panicked, dodging the flying dust, and cursed: "Damn it, what the hell is this, daring to smash Master Fatty's coffin!"

Ye Bai stood to the side, sneering as he looked at the ancient, simple bronze outer coffin, a look of mockery appearing in his eyes.

Just as Fatty was preparing to continue digging the grave, a black shadow darted out from the bronze outer coffin and rushed towards Ye Bai.
