358: What kind of operation is this, a bottomless black hole?

As Yang Mi operated the mechanism, the Stone Door emitted a dull rumble and slowly opened, as an old and decaying scent rushed toward them.

The inside of the door was pitch black, as if it were a bottomless black hole, with a faint yin wind blowing out.

The audience in the Live Stream Room began to boil with excitement once again.

“Sister Mi is too amazing! What kind of magical maneuver is this?”

“I feel like it’s even more terrifying inside the door, Streamers be careful.”

“Is this about to open the door to a new world? How exciting!”

Ye Bai took the lead and walked in, the peach wood sword in his hand emitting a faint luster, illuminating a small area for them.

Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi followed closely behind, while Lin Yu observed the surroundings vigilantly.

Just as they stepped into the Stone Door, the surrounding temperature plummeted, and Meng Ziyi couldn't help but shiver: “It's so cold, it feels even more eerie in here than outside.”

Yang Mi also tucked her neck in: “I hope there aren't even scarier things inside.”

Ye Bai didn't speak; his gaze was drawn to a Mural on the wall.

The Mural depicted a group of people dressed in strange attire surrounding a massive Sacrificial Altar.

A person covered in blood lay on the Sacrificial Altar, and the expressions of the people surrounding them were distorted.

They held various strange implements in their hands, as if they were performing some kind of evil ritual.

“This Mural... echoes our previous suspicions about a cult sacrifice.”

Ye Bai said in a low voice.

Lin Yu walked over, looking at the Mural with a frown: “These people don't look like normal sacrificers; they look more like their minds have been controlled by something.”

The audience in the Live Stream Room was also discussing the Mural.

“This Mural looks so sinister, I feel like there's a huge conspiracy behind it.”

“Streamers, be careful, maybe there are some mechanisms or traps inside.”

Just then, they heard the sound of a heavy Iron Chain dragging across the ground, as if something massive was approaching them.

Ye Bai immediately assumed a defensive stance, holding the peach wood sword across his chest.

“Everyone be careful, something is coming.”

The sound grew closer, and a massive figure slowly emerged from the darkness.

It was a giant completely wrapped in Iron Chains, its body appearing to be pieced together from countless corpses.

It emitted a strong stench of rot, and a pair of hollow, large eyes burned with ghostly green flames.

“Ah! What kind of monster is this?”

Meng Ziyi screamed in terror.

Yang Mi was also pale with fright: “This... this is too terrifying.”

The audience in the Live Stream Room was also frightened by this horrific sight.

“Run away, quick!”

“How can there be such an ugly monster?”

“It must be a living dead, run!”

The bullet comments flooded the screen frantically; fortunately, Ye Bai used his peach wood sword to block, preventing the bullet comments from being lost.

“Everyone don't panic, it's just a zombie,” Ye Bai said calmly.

Meng Ziyi breathed a sigh of relief: “Is it just a zombie? That's good, otherwise I would have been really scared to death.”

Lin Yu, however, frowned slightly: “A zombie is a type of Ghost; although they belong to the Ghost category, they aren't typically powerful. Logically, such a massive body shouldn't exist. Could it be...”

He thought of a possibility, and his eyes instantly grew solemn: “Could it be that there are other unknown creatures Sealed in here?!”

“In that case, this door should be fine, there's a huge secret behind it!”

Yang Mi became excited and hurriedly urged: “Hurry up, this zombie seems like it's about to charge over.”

Ye Bai nodded: “Everyone get ready, we'll fight our way out together.”

“Wait! This zombie is a bit strange!”

Lin Yu suddenly stopped him, pointing ahead of them.

The zombie, which had already walked to within a few meters of them, suddenly stopped in its tracks. It looked up at them, its mouth curling into a bizarre arc, revealing a row of pale teeth.

“Roar——”

A furious roar made their ears ring.

Then the zombie moved.

Its speed was extremely fast, pouncing toward them like a Leopard.

“Watch out!”

Lin Yu pulled Ye Bai toward himself and swung his other fist at the zombie.

Bang!

The strike hit the zombie's chest, but Lin Yu was also knocked back several steps.

The zombie's strength was extraordinary; even a Daoist master who had spent years in this profession would find it hard to match.

“Are you okay?”

Ye Bai supported Lin Yu, who shook his head: “Don't worry, I'm fine. This monster is just too strange.”

Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi also pulled out their weapons and launched a fierce attack on the zombie.

Both of them had practiced defensive combat techniques and coordinated well, their moves being very sharp.

Ye Bai pinched a hand Seal and performed a Spell, as a ball of blue fire flew out and landed on the zombie's head.

Boom!

The fire exploded, and the zombie, charred all over, struggled on the ground for a moment before gradually turning into ashes and disappearing.

Yang Mi, Meng Ziyi, and Lin Yu stood there panting, staring at the dust on the ground, unable to snap out of it for a long time.

“What kind of ghostly thing was that? It wasn't afraid of fire at all, this is simply inconceivable!”

“Brother Ye's methods are truly divine!”

Yang Mi and Meng Ziyi glanced at each other, both seeing the joy in the other's eyes.

Ye Bai put away his Magic Treasure and smiled lightly: “This was a thousand-year-old zombie; it became so powerful because it absorbed too much resentment.”

“Then what was with that fireball just now?”

Yang Mi asked, blinking her beautiful large eyes.

Ye Bai rubbed the bridge of his nose and said: “It's a small incantation.”

When he first studied basic Daoist Spells, he had read the Daoist scripture "Yellow Court Inner Landscape Classic," which recorded a minor Spell called the Fireball Technique.

Of course, it was just an ordinary minor Spell, but its power was sufficient.

“There really are secrets here.”

Meng Ziyi’s pretty eyes sparkled: “Then who built this underground palace? Why are there such things inside?”

“Yeah, what secret is hidden here after all?”

Yang Mi and Lin Yu were also curious.

“Could the secret of this place be a tomb?”

Such an absurd thought surfaced in Ye Bai's mind.

But he immediately dismissed it.

The scale of a tomb would definitely be much larger than what was before them.

He looked around; besides a single road leading forward, the surroundings were filled with dense houses.

Moreover, every house was independent, not attached to the walls.

Most surprisingly, the houses here remained intact without a single crack, as if they had been forcibly nailed into the ground.

With such solid and thick Materials, they couldn't have been exposed to rain or hail for long.

“Could it be...” Ye Bai suddenly thought of a possibility, and his eyes widened.

“What is it?”

Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi asked curiously.

“I think these houses weren't formed naturally, they're likely...”

Ye Bai didn't finish his sentence because he saw those houses actually move!

Crack!

The outer shells of the houses detached from the walls, revealing exquisite and magnificent Sculptures inside.
