350: Rich guy, please carry me!
"Did you see that? There seems to be something wrong with that Statue." Meng Ziyi grabbed Ye Bai's arm nervously.
"Hmm, it seems this Statue is the key." As Ye Bai spoke, he carefully walked toward the Statue.
When he approached the Statue, he discovered that its base was covered in strange symbols and patterns. These patterns looked like some kind of ancient sacrificial ritual, surrounded by some blurry human figures.
The expressions on the human figures were twisted in pain, as if they were enduring immense torment.
A viewer in the Live Stream Room sent bullet comments saying, "I think I've seen similar patterns in an Ancient Book. This seems to be some kind of ancient curse ritual, said to awaken evil forces to guard the Treasure Trove here."
"No way? Then Great God Ye and the others are in danger."
Ye Bai carefully observed these patterns, quickly searching his Family Legacy for information regarding such curses. "This is a blood sacrifice curse. If certain mechanisms are triggered, it might incite a riot of the vengeful spirits here."
"Then shouldn't we stop messing around?" Meng Ziyi said with some concern.
Just as they were hesitating, Yang Mi suddenly let out a painful groan from the tomb bed. Ye Bai and Meng Ziyi rushed over to check on her.
"Mi Mi, how are you?" Meng Ziyi asked anxiously.
Yang Mi slowly opened her eyes and said weakly, "I feel like something is pulling me. This place is so scary."
Ye Bai frowned. He knew that Yang Mi might have been affected by the Yin Qi here.
"You rest first. We will find a way to leave this place."
At this moment, the temperature in the Tomb Chamber began to drop sharply, and the breath they exhaled turned into white mist.
A faint, indistinct wailing sound came from all around, seeming to come from every direction, making it impossible to distinguish the source.
"This wailing... it seems like those cursed Souls are lamenting," Ye Bai said.
The viewers in the Live Stream Room also became nervous.
"It feels more and more terrifying. How are Great God Ye and the others going to deal with this?"
"This is just like the ghost wailing in those folk legends. It definitely means trouble."
Ye Bai's expression was grave. He looked around and discovered that this Tomb Chamber was not spacious, enough to stand only two or three people.
He picked up his flashlight and shone it around, discovering that besides some Antiques, jade ware, rare medicinal herbs, and other valuable items, the most eye-catching thing was an outer coffin placed in the center of the Tomb Chamber.
The outer coffin was covered with bronze chains, densely wrapped around the entire outer coffin, looking very hideous and terrifying.
The outer coffin was covered in thick dust, clearly having not been used for a long time.
The Coffin Lid was tightly shut and engraved with exquisite and complex patterns. At first glance, it really looked like a coffin.
Ye Bai looked around and discovered that many Funerary Objects were placed around the outer coffin.
These Funerary Objects included ceramics, jadeite, and gold and silver jade ware. Each Funerary Object was preserved quite well, clearly being priceless treasures.
"Wow, so many good things!" The viewers in the Live Stream Room were in an uproar; they had long been salivating.
"Holy crap, these are all good stuff!"
"Rich tycoon, please take me with you~"
"How could there be so many good things here? Could these be the Treasure Trove discovered by historians?"
"You're the idiot. This is clearly the Mausoleum of a prince."
"Does that mean this prince was once glorious?"
"Heh, glorious my foot!"
Watching the endless arguments in the Live Stream Room, Ye Bai ignored them and went straight to the outer coffin.
He reached out and gently tapped the Coffin Lid. The thumping sound seemed exceptionally jarring in the silent Tomb Chamber.
"Hey, Great God Ye, how do we open this Coffin Lid?" Meng Ziyi leaned in and asked.
After pondering for a few seconds, Ye Bai said, "I suspect this coffin is made of thousand-year-old dark iron. It is incredibly sturdy. We can't shake it with brute force alone, so we must find another way."
"What method?" Meng Ziyi asked.
"Burn it with fire!"
"Burn it with fire? Will that work?" Meng Ziyi hesitated.
"Haven't you noticed that the texture of these Antiques, jade ware, and Funerary Objects is so hard? Ordinary fire wouldn't do anything to them," Ye Bai said.
"Alright then." Meng Ziyi nodded.
Ye Bai took the lighter out of his backpack and handed it to Meng Ziyi.
Meng Ziyi skillfully ignited the lighter and lit the Candle on the lighter.
The flame from the lighter shot up high, but it never extinguished.
"This... is the lighter broken?" Meng Ziyi was somewhat surprised.
"Something's not right!"
Ye Bai stared at the burning flame. He kept feeling a chilly breeze blowing over, and he felt his body slowly stiffening, as if someone were pulling at his skin.
"What's going on?"
Ye Bai turned around to look around and discovered that the originally dry air had suddenly become icy cold.
Even inside this Tomb Chamber, there was still a gloomy and eerie feeling.
"These people are all dead. Why do they still want to stop us from saving her?"
At this moment, Meng Ziyi's voice sounded again. Ye Bai heard it very clearly; her tone actually revealed traces of chilliness.
Ye Bai turned around abruptly and discovered that Meng Ziyi had changed into a black outfit. The corners of her mouth curled into a smile, a smile that made one's hair stand on end.
"You just spoke!" Ye Bai exclaimed.
"I have always spoken like this," Meng Ziyi said with a slight smile. She reached out and pointed to that Bronze coffin. "Our only hope for survival now is to open this coffin."
"Are you crazy? The thing lying in that coffin is definitely a corpse that has been dead for hundreds of years. Are you sure you dare to open it?" Ye Bai glared at Meng Ziyi.
"Open it! It must be opened!" Meng Ziyi said through gritted teeth, her voice sounding very angry.
Just at this moment, the Bronze coffin suddenly underwent a strange transformation, and the Coffin Lid moved away on its own!
"Creak—"
Immediately, the Coffin Lid slid off and rolled onto the ground, making a dull thud.
At this moment, a thick smell of decay rushed toward them, accompanied by a cold, eerie atmosphere, making one unable to help but shiver all over.
A pair of ghastly green eyes suddenly appeared above the coffin.
Dim green light flickered in its eye sockets, as if coming from the depths of Hell.
"Holy crap, is the coffin undergoing Corpse Reanimation?"
"What on earth has happened to this world! Why is it so terrifying!"
"Streamer, run! Hurry and run! Don't worry about anything else!"
The Live Stream Room immediately fell into chaos.
"Quiet!" Ye Bai glared at the Live Stream Room.
He took a deep breath, steadied his agitated emotions, and stared carefully at the thing inside the coffin.
Lying inside the outer coffin was a female doll. She was wearing a gorgeous palace dress and a Phoenix crown and ceremonial robes, looking lifelike.
Her face was incredibly old, covered with deep wrinkles, as if she were a withered corpse.
Ye Bai's heart skipped a beat, and he tentatively shouted, "Xiao Die!"
