228: A strange tomb, a little girl searching for her sister.

The three held their breath, watching the group of Guards pass by them. The Guards didn't notice them and continued walking forward. Once the Guards were far away, the three breathed a sigh of relief.

"That was close!" Yang Mi said.

Ye Bai said, "It's getting more and more dangerous here; we must find a way out as soon as possible."

The three continued forward; the atmosphere in the Passage became increasingly tense. Suddenly, they saw a door. The door was tightly shut, and they didn't know what was inside.

Ye Bai stopped and carefully observed the door. Strange patterns and characters were carved on the door, emitting a mysterious aura.

"There might be important clues behind this door," Ye Bai said.

"Then how do we open this door?" Meng Ziyi asked.

Ye Bai thought for a moment and said, "Look around to see if there's any mechanism to open this door."

The three searched for a mechanism around the door and finally found a protruding button on the wall next to it. Ye Bai lightly pressed the button, and the door slowly opened.

Behind the door was a huge Tomb Chamber. A massive coffin was placed inside the Tomb Chamber, with strange patterns and characters carved on it.

Murals were also carved on the walls of the Tomb Chamber, depicting ancient scenes that sparked the imagination.

Standing at the entrance of the Tomb Chamber, the three were so shocked by the sight before them that they were momentarily speechless. Yang Mi was the first to snap out of it and whispered, "This... could there be any danger inside?"

Ye Bai frowned, his eyes vigilantly scanning the interior of the Tomb Chamber: "It's hard to say for now, but since we've already come this far, we can't back down. Let's go in carefully and take a look."

Meng Ziyi nodded: "Alright, let's go in together."

The three cautiously entered the Tomb Chamber. An ancient scent permeated the Tomb Chamber, making them feel as if they had traveled back to ancient times. They slowly approached the massive coffin and found that the patterns and characters on it were very mysterious, seemingly containing some unknown power.

Yang Mi leaned in to carefully observe the patterns on the coffin: "These patterns are so strange; it's like they're telling a story."

Ye Bai also examined them closely from the side: "Yeah, but we can't understand the meaning of these patterns yet. Maybe once we find more clues, we'll be able to solve this mystery."

Meng Ziyi focused her attention on the walls of the Tomb Chamber: "Look, these Murals are also very interesting."

They looked at the Murals together, which depicted ancient war scenes, sacrificial rituals, and some mysterious figures.

Yang Mi pointed at a Mural and said, "Look, this person seems to be a King, and the people next to him should be his Ministers."

Ye Bai said thoughtfully, "These Murals might be recording the life story of the Tomb Chamber's owner. We can look for clues in these Murals to understand the history and background of this place."

While they were focused on studying the Murals, they suddenly heard a slight sound. The three immediately became tense. Ye Bai made a gesture for silence, and they stood still, listening to the movements around them.

After a while, the sound disappeared. Yang Mi breathed a sigh of relief: "Scared me to death, I thought there was some danger."

Ye Bai, however, remained vigilant: "We can't let our guard down; this place is full of unknown dangers. Let's continue searching for clues."

They continued to explore the Tomb Chamber. Meng Ziyi found a Stone Table in a corner with an Ancient Book on it. She cried out excitedly, "Come look, there's a book here!"

The three hurried over. Ye Bai carefully picked up the book and flipped it open, but they didn't recognize the characters inside at all. Yang Mi said disappointedly, "What's written on this? We can't understand it either."

Ye Bai thought for a moment and said, "Maybe we can take this book out and find an expert to help decipher it."

Just as they were about to put the book away, a strange sound rang out in the Tomb Chamber again. This time the sound was louder than before, and it seemed to be coming from inside the coffin.

The three looked at the coffin in horror, not knowing what was happening inside.

Yang Mi said with a trembling voice, "Could there be some monster?"

Ye Bai tightly gripped the weapon in his hand: "Don't be afraid, let's see what's going on first."

As the sound grew louder, the coffin lid began to move slowly. The three retreated in fear, staring tensely at the coffin. Finally, the coffin lid opened, and a cloud of black mist slowly rose from within.

A figure seemed to be swaying in the mist, which was hair-raising. Meng Ziyi said in terror, "What is this thing?"

Looking at the girl smiling eerily before him, Ye Bai had doubts in his heart but decided to save her first. He said to Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi, "No matter what, let's get her out of here first."

Meng Ziyi hesitated: "But she looks very strange. What if there's danger?"

Yang Mi bit her lip: "But she speaks Chinese; maybe she can provide us with some clues."

The three finally decided to take the girl with them.

Ye Bai walked in front, Meng Ziyi supported the girl, and Yang Mi watched the surroundings vigilantly. As they walked, they tried to communicate with the girl.

"What's your name?" Yang Mi asked softly.

The girl just stared blankly ahead, not answering.

"How did you get here?" Meng Ziyi also asked.

The girl remained silent.

Ye Bai muttered to himself, "Where did this girl come from? I hope she's not trouble." But on the surface, he still maintained his composure.

After they had walked for a while, the girl suddenly spoke: "I... am called Lin Yue."

Yang Mi said excitedly, "Great, you finally spoke. Can you tell us what this place is?"

A flash of confusion crossed Lin Yue's eyes: "I don't know... I was here when I woke up."

Ye Bai frowned: "Then how did you get the injuries on your body?"

Lin Yue lowered her head, seemingly remembering something, and then slowly said, "There were monsters... they attacked me."

"Monsters?" Meng Ziyi exclaimed, "What kind of monsters?"

Lin Yue said tremblingly, "Very big... very scary..."

While they were talking, they suddenly heard a strange sound. Ye Bai immediately stopped and made a gesture for silence. They listened quietly; the sound was getting closer, as if something was approaching.

Ye Bai whispered, "It might be those monsters chasing us. We need to find a place to hide."

They searched everywhere for a hiding place and finally found a Small Cave. Ye Bai first went in carefully to check it out. After confirming there was no danger, he let Meng Ziyi and Yang Mi bring Lin Yue inside.

The cave was dark and damp, but at least it could provide temporary shelter from danger. They sat in the cave, listening tensely to the movements outside.
