123: When the truth becomes false, the false becomes true, it’s so exciting!

Yang Dian, who had drawn his longsword and was about to go on a rampage, suddenly stopped and shook his head vigorously.

No, no!

Twelve parts out of ten, something was wrong!

When did the Lizardmen lying on the ground turn their heads?

And their heads turned into penguins?

When did that penguin get a precious sword in its hand?

Its body also emitted a faint green light, twisting and turning into a wavy shape.

And why was the world swaying along with the penguin?

“Do you recharge Q coins?”

The moment the penguin spoke,

Yang Dian realized he had fallen for a trick.

As for where the trick came from?

Most likely, it was the Golden Lotus.

He wondered why he, who was not Dalang, had fallen for the Golden Lotus’s trick.

He squeezed his body, which had become somewhat hot and burning after being nourished by the wondrous item, the Golden Lotus.

Yang Dian had a complaint in his heart but didn't know where to voice it.

‘I haven’t heard that wondrous items are like mushrooms, causing hallucinations if eaten~’

Ignoring the penguin on the ground, which was getting smaller and smaller as it walked, until it was only half a foot tall when it reached him, tapping his toes and asking if he wanted to recharge Q coins.

Yang Dian shifted his gaze to the Lizardmen Sacred Mountain.

Under the setting sun, the Sacred Mountain became even more fantastical and magnificent.

Amidst the swirling snow, beneath the pristine white snow, countless snowflakes had transformed into tiny, finger-sized elves of various colors and exquisite appearances.

They sang loudly around the Sacred Mountain, awakening more of their kind with their songs.

Some of these little elves even flew to Yang Dian, sitting on his shoulders and in his ears, singing ancient and sacred ballads.

“Is it real?”

“Is it fake?”

He couldn't tell.

He simply couldn't tell.

This world was a mix of truth and falsehood, real and illusory.

Anything could be fake, but anything could also be real.

Yang Dian stared blankly at the majestic and magnificent Sacred Mountain until the sun disappeared, and stars fell from the Nine Heavens, forming a river of stars flowing over the accumulated snow.

It wasn't until those little elves sitting on his shoulders and in his ears, singing ancient and mysterious ballads, also flew away from him,

that he suddenly realized something.

‘Why didn't I feel any discomfort during the time I was in the cave after eating the lotus seeds?’

‘Why did I only experience hallucinations, like I had eaten mushrooms, after I walked out of the cave, saw the Sacred Mountain, and was hit by the cold wind?’

‘Is it really just a hallucination?’

‘Or is this one of the effects of the Golden Lotus?’

‘Is it only after eating the Golden Lotus and personally seeing the Sacred Mountain under the afterglow of the setting sun that it becomes the true Sacred Mountain?’

His thoughts churned, and Yang Dian bypassed the various cats, dogs, and caterpillars of all sizes that had appeared out of thin air.

When he felt a slight chill in his body and detected no danger, Yang Dian sat down on a cheese snow leopard.

After rubbing his buttocks against the snow leopard's somewhat soft fur, he used it as a cushion and looked at the Milky Way falling from the Nine Heavens.

“Its swift current plunges three thousand feet, as if the Milky Way has fallen from the Nine Heavens.”

“Are there mushrooms in Mount Lu?”

“Did Li Bai also eat unripe mushrooms back then…”

The wind and snow on the Sacred Mountain were a bit cold.

But then again, they didn't seem that cold.

Yang Dian sat on the snow leopard, lost in thought, for an entire night.

It wasn't until the morning sun rose, the warmth brought by the Golden Lotus gradually dissipated, and all the elves in the sky looked at him in unison before merging into the river of stars, and the river of stars flowed into the Void, that the world returned to its original state.

The wind and snow in the mountains persisted, while the valley remained evergreen.

The Lizardmen seemed unaware of everything that had happened by the lava lake, continuing their daily patrols.

The cheese snow leopard beneath his buttocks also let out a mournful whimper.

“Huh? A snow leopard?”

He looked down at the cushion beneath his buttocks, and indeed, it was a real snow leopard!

“Am I that lucky?”

“Among so many fakes last night, I just happened to sit on a real one?”

“Why are you so lucky to be pressed beneath my buttocks?”

He stood up and patted his buttocks twice, and the snow leopard, feeling liberated, tucked its tail and scurried away.

“Tsk~”

“This little fellow is ignorant; it can't even grasp such a great Opportunity.”

“Being my mount, living a comfortable life under my buttocks, isn't that much better than a leopard fending for itself in the wild?”

After muttering to himself a few words to relax his mind, Yang Dian shifted his gaze upwards again, to the mid-slope of the Sacred Mountain, where the river of stars had disappeared into the Void.

“Could there be some secret there?”

Looking down at the Six-Armed Lizardmen patrolling in the valley, Yang Dian lifted his foot and walked towards the mid-slope of the Sacred Mountain.

Looking wasn't against the law.

While traveling, he also opened his panel for a quick glance.

As with previous times after consuming wondrous items, the progress of various Martial Arts had improved.

Among them, Heaven and Man Unity Skill, Night Battle in All Directions, and Star Gazing Art had improved the most.

“Does the Golden Lotus greatly nourish the spirit?”

“Were the hallucinations I saw last night caused by my spirit improving too quickly?”

Yang Dian didn't know.

He only knew that after being enhanced by the wondrous item, the Star Gazing Art only needed 30 energy points to be maxed out!

Who could refuse such a temptation?

He certainly couldn't.

With a tap of his finger, enlightenment arose.

The final shackles of the Star Gazing Art were shattered by Yang Dian's touch.

The dwelling place of his Chaos Soul was illuminated by a slightly dim star.

For the first time.

For the first time, Yang Dian, without any external help, found the dwelling place of his Soul purely by his own will and descended his will into it.

Dudu, who was lying on Yang Dian's Soul, seemed to sense Yang Dian's presence and let out joyful “Dudu” cheers.

It flew up under Yang Dian's gaze, continuously circling the pool of energy beneath the star, exuding an eager, greedy emotion.

Yang Dian didn't rush to deal with Dudu; he first focused his attention on the dim star.

“Contemplate the star, refine the star, solidify the star.”

“Finally, use the star to protect the Soul?”

“By the way, the position of the star can be moved freely according to my thoughts.”

“If I could contemplate countless stars in the dwelling place of the Soul, and then arrange these stars in order to form a legendary Formation…”

After indulging in a luxurious fantasy of a beautiful future, Yang Dian looked at the somewhat impatient Dudu and generously waved his hand:

“I'll share half of the energy with you.”

The Golden Lotus was a bit more generous than Yang Dian had expected.

Eight Golden Lotus flowers provided him with a total of 3600 energy points.

Adding what was left from before, it was 3726 points.

Even if he shared half with Dudu, he still had 1863 points.

“This much energy is enough for me to cultivate Night Battle in All Directions, Dragon Claw Hand, and Iron Shirt to the next trait.”

“Night Battle in All Directions and Dragon Claw Hand are easy to say; I can cultivate them anytime, anywhere.”

“But Iron Shirt requires a Young Miss to massage me…”

“Never mind, I'll cultivate the first trait of Night Battle in All Directions first.”

Reaching out and grasping a Star Light Sword.

While enjoying Dudu’s feedback, Yang Dian slowly ascended the mountain, wielding his sword amidst the swirling snow, hooking, hanging, pointing, picking, stabbing, parrying, chopping… At this moment, the flying snow became his imaginary enemy, and also the nourishment for the growth of Night Battle in All Directions.

“I wonder what the first trait of Night Battle in All Directions will be…”

He practiced like this until the sun slowly set and dusk descended.
