730: You are safe

“Beep~~~~”

Just ten seconds before the fleet completed its final jump, a piercing alarm blared through the starship where the Guang Yao People were located.

“What happened?”

Jones, the Expeditionary Force governor sitting in the conference room, shot up upon hearing the alarm:

“Something happened on Niu Ru Ren Planet.”

“Is it that unknown civilization’s fleet again?”

After receiving the data collected by the deep-space satellite, Deputy Captain Wo Er let out a deep breath:

“It’s the unknown civilization’s fleet.”

“A massive spatial fluctuation is emerging around that fleet, suspected to be preparing for a spatial jump.”

“According to the Law of Spatial Tides, they will complete spatial focusing in three minutes, and then complete the spatial jump one ten-thousandth of a millisecond later.”

Wo Er pointed to an area in the Niu Ru Ren Planet’s lunar orbit and said:

“According to the theory of spatial refraction, their destination after the jump will be at this coordinate.”

As soon as he finished speaking, an even more piercing alarm blared from the alarm System.

The flashing red warning lights made the expressions of everyone in the conference room uncertain; Jones, who had just looked in the direction Wo Er pointed, preparing to order the warships to charge energy and give the unknown civilization’s fleet a harsh blow after they completed their jump, suddenly turned back to Wo Er:

“What else happened?”

Wo Er was silent.

He found it hard to believe the information monitored by the planetary surveillance System.

But the facts told him that the unknown civilization’s fleet had arrived in Niu Ru Ren Planet’s satellite orbit without them being prepared at all.

“The unknown civilization’s fleet has arrived.”

“It’s in Niu Ru Ren Planet’s satellite orbit.”

Speaking of this, Wo Er, who finally noticed a certain piece of information, stiffened slightly.

“And it’s right beside us.”

Jones was still puzzled when Wo Er pulled open the curtains.

Outside the curtains, the eternal sunlight of the star was already obscured by an overwhelming darkness.

At the very front of the darkness was a gigantic cannon barrel, replacing the star, shimmering with dazzling light.

The star destroyer’s main cannon was aimed directly at them… Niu Ru Ren Planet.

Some young Niu Ru Ren numbly followed their elders, heading with the crowd to the dining hall.

There, he would eat his first, and only, meal of the day.

“Uncle Wo Er.”

The young Niu Ru Ren’s clear eyes were filled with confusion and pain:

“Why did it turn out like this?”

“According to the Academy, shouldn’t the Guang Yao Civilization be our friendly partners?”

“We exchanged with each other, we grew together, and in the future, we would explore this unknown and mysterious Universe together.”

“But why did it turn out like this?”

“They killed my mom and dad.”

The young Niu Ru Ren raised his hoof and pressed it against the hoof of the adult Niu Ru Ren beside him:

“Why did they attack us?”

The adult Niu Ru Ren, who had lived in an era of peace since childhood and had never experienced anything beyond truth, goodness, and beauty, could not answer the young Niu Ru Ren’s words:

“I don’t know either.”

“This isn’t what they said.”

“We were clearly supposed to have friendly exchanges.”

“Why did they… why did they…”

Before he could finish, he heard the young Niu Ru Ren exclaim again.

“Uncle Wo Er!”

Instinctively looking at the young Niu Ru Ren, Wo Er saw brilliant streaking lights in her eyes.

This made him instinctively tremble.

‘We clearly have lost the ability to resist.’

‘Are they still not going to spare us?’

Helplessness and despair rose simultaneously, and he heard the young Niu Ru Ren’s exclamation again:

“There’s armor in the fireball.”

“I’ve seen that armor in the newspaper; it’s the Huaxia Expeditionary Force’s mecha.”

“Uncle Wo Er, is the Huaxia Expeditionary Force here to save us?”

Following the direction of the young Niu Ru Ren’s finger, Wo Er looked up at the sky, and amidst the piercing alarm, he saw star destroyers that blotted out the sky, and also countless mechas flying out from the star destroyers.

He also saw those war robots, finding the exit too small, directly ‘shattering’ the star destroyers, causing them to dismember in the high sky.

Countless war robots flew out like rain from the dismembered star destroyers, adhering with flames as they flew towards the earth.

Those seemingly dismembered armor fragments changed shape in the sky, transforming into even larger robots.

Those even larger robots, some humanoid, some animal-shaped, or some bizarrely structured like strange shapes piled up by a child with building blocks, descended from the high heavens.

It wasn’t until a strangely shaped robot landed around him, blocking a piece of rubble that flew from who knows where, that Wo Er belatedly had a thought.

“They are here to protect us.”

No sooner had he murmured than he instinctively looked into the distance.

That was the direction where the Guang Yao Civilization’s Expeditionary Force guard team was located.

When his gaze fell there, Wo Er couldn't help but tremble again.

That was the instinctive fear of life towards a higher life form, towards a giant.

The luxurious palace where the Guang Yao Civilization’s guard team resided had already vanished.

In its place was a giant monster, completely black and cold, with three heads, two wings, a head-to-tail body length of nearly a thousand meters, and clad in steel armor.

After silently crushing the palace, the monster raised its three heads as if to roar.

But before it could let out a sound, it was slapped on the head by a giant mecha on its back.

The monster seemed to be very afraid of him.

Just a light pat, and it lowered its heads like a quail, no longer daring to make a sound, only daring to vent its emotions on the ruins beneath its feet, constantly rubbing the ground with a pair of huge feet, thousands of yards in size, as if to grind the already pulverized Guang Yao People even finer.

The giant mecha on the monster's back ignored the slightly moody monster.

He jumped directly from the monster's back.

Wo Er felt that the mecha’s landing must have caused a small earthquake.

The ground’s tremor made him stumble, almost causing him to fall to the ground.

As soon as he regained his footing, he saw the mecha stride towards them, and he was also enveloped by the shadow it cast as its back faced the rising sun.

In the gloom, all his attention was drawn to a flag on its chest, with a vibrant red background and golden stars shimmering on it.

He had seen this flag before.

Years ago, the distant starships that passed through the wormhole, intending to save other civilizations, had sent this flag.

This was the symbol of the civilization they encountered in an Alien Planet Star Domain, also going to save that civilization in distress.

“Huaxia Expeditionary Force?”

Mecha cockpit.

Hearing a Niu Ru Ren clearly articulate the two words “Huaxia Expeditionary Force,” Li Gui couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, looking down at the large Niu Ru Ren below him, covered in shadow, holding a young Niu Ru Ren.

“Li Gui, Commander of the First Legion, Huaxia Expeditionary Force.”

“You are safe now.”

As his voice fell, the three-headed black Dragon behind him suddenly propped up its upper body, raised its head, and spewed scorching Dragon flames.

In the sky, a Guang Yao Civilization’s stealth fighter turned into a fireball under the Dragon flames, exploding with a roar…
