761: Also traveled through time

He opened his eyes amidst the creaking of wooden wheels and intermittent, heavy vibrations.

The first thing to enter his vision was the three bright suns—two large and one small—in the sky.

He blinked, and rolling memories pierced through his Sea of Consciousness, which was filled with Chaos.

As waves of continuous pain surged from his mind, Yang Dian subconsciously formed an initial understanding of his current environment.

"I've transmigrated!"

And what a Transmigration it was.

Earth, the Lizardmen Alien Planet, the Spirit Pattern Clan Alien Planet, the Strange Star System, the Emerald Dragon Star System, the Azurewave Star System, and even the Dimensional Battlefield with its thousands of planets.

In all these places, regardless of size or whether the beings on the planets were strong or weak, there was always only one sun.

This place, however, had three suns hanging in the sky; weren't they afraid of roasting people to death?

"So, what is my current situation..."

He subconsciously looked inward.

Then, an incomparably intense pain, as if his Soul were being split in two, surged into Yang Dian's heart.

"Hiss~"

"Did I injure my Soul?"

Just as this thought crossed Yang Dian's mind, the Young Attendant, who was sitting behind the hay on the donkey cart—about six or seven years old with two buns on his head—heard his sharp intake of breath and hurriedly crawled to his side, looking concerned and admiring:

"Brother Immortal, are you awake?"

Yang Dian's head hurt even more.

Instinctively analyzing the scattered fragments of Mental Energy was still too intense for him right now.

But there was no choice; he had to communicate.

Rubbing his brow with one hand and holding down the Little Black Cat trying to poke its head out of his bracelet, Yang Dian took a deep breath and looked at the Young Attendant:

"Why do you say I am an Immortal?"

The Young Attendant blinked, his expression of admiration deepening:

"You fell from the sky, smashed our cowshed, and crushed our old yellow ox to death."

"I've never heard the language you're speaking now, but I can understand it."

"You must be an Immortal."

Yang Dian was stunned and looked around.

The donkey cart was likely traveling on a main road, with quite a few pedestrians on both sides.

Most pedestrians were barefoot, with thick calluses on their feet.

Most also had bare arms, their upper bodies tanned dark by the three scorching suns.

Their lower bodies were mostly covered by short pants, or perhaps just a piece of cloth covering their thighs to protect their privacy.

Beyond that, most pedestrians had no other clothing or accessories.

There were people carrying poles, firewood, or pushing water on wheelbarrows; some even had tall horses but didn't ride them, choosing instead to lead them step by step...

All kinds of pedestrians came into view, along with the smoke rising in the distance and, beneath the smoke, a city wall hidden by the forest.

Yang Dian knew that he had likely arrived in a world similar to a feudal Chinese dynasty.

A yellow ox was likely livestock that a farming family would need to save money for a very long time to afford, right?

Closing his eyes and focusing, enduring the pain from his Soul, Yang Dian sensed his surroundings.

He extended his Mental Energy for a thousand meters before withdrawing it.

In just a fleeting moment, Yang Dian had made himself miserable with pain.

"Within a thousand meters, there is no Spiritual Qi."

"Did I transmigrate to a dead zone that hasn't experienced Qi Revival?"

He tapped his brow:

"Where did you send me, you brat?"

The Dimension Butterfly gave no feedback.

After a moment of silence, Yang Dian endured the excruciating pain and looked inward again.

The place where his Soul resided was dilapidated; the stars that once densely covered the land of Chaos in the sky were all dim, with only a few remaining that emitted a faint light, as if they could go out at any moment.

The same was true for his Soul.

It was not only tattered but also more than a thousand times smaller than before; it was clearly severely injured.

Du Du was soaking listlessly in the energy pool, where only a thin layer of energy remained, perhaps only about a thousand units or so.

The Dimension Butterfly had formed a cocoon again and ignored Yang Dian's calls.

These two little guys had signed a Soul contract with Yang Dian.

They prospered together and suffered together.

Since his Soul had suffered heavy damage, these two little guys naturally wouldn't feel well.

After swallowing, he endured the pain and extended his Mental Energy into his body.

His physical state wasn't any better.

The once abundant Qi and blood had disappeared, replaced everywhere by terrifying injuries that would cripple or kill an ordinary person.

His entire body was extremely weak; his physical strength, which once could shatter a continental shelf with a single punch, was now less than a billionth of what it had been.

If he pushed with all his might, he could probably fight a hundred ordinary people to a draw.

Five seconds to cut a hundred ordinary people into five pieces.

It was, after all, a transcendent body.

Even if heavily injured and dying, it was not something an ordinary person could mess with.

Even if he stood there and let ordinary people hack at him with their so-called Divine Power-imbued Sharp Weapons, it would only be their so-called Sharp Weapons that would dull first.

"If this world has no transcendence, then I am basically invincible."

"It should allow me to quietly recover my strength."

Thinking of this, Yang Dian moved his thoughts to the power of the rules.

Raising his hand and extending his finger, Yang Dian vaguely saw a crimson chain wrapped around his entire body.

He couldn't control the rules at all.

With a thought, he opened the panel.

His talent was still overpowered.

Even though the rules were locked, the panel could still be displayed.

It was just that Brother Panel's situation wasn't very good either.

Looking at those red chains wrapped around the panel, the three-digit energy figure after the energy data item, and the body and Soul status showing severe injury, Yang Dian let out a long sigh.

"It's tough~"

This sigh made the Young Attendant nervous:

"Brother Immortal, are you okay?"

Yang Dian shook his head slightly, then looked at the pedestrians on both sides, the donkey cart beneath him, and the Young Attendant who was also shirtless:

"That old yellow ox I crushed to death, it wasn't cheap, right?"

Seeing that Yang Dian didn't deny his identity as an Immortal, the Young Attendant first squinted and smiled, then shook his head:

"My dad said that Old Yellow is family, so we don't talk about money."

Yang Dian was stunned.

Thinking about the labor force in ancient society, he felt relieved.

In ancient times, oxen were much more important than people.

"It was my fault for crushing your family's yellow ox."

The Young Attendant shook his head again:

"My mom said that Old Yellow was already very old; it hadn't worked in the fields for two years, and after this autumn, it wouldn't have many days left to live."

"It was Old Yellow's Immortal Opportunity to meet an Immortal."

"It ascended to immortality when it left."

What the Young Attendant said was interesting, but it also reflected the helplessness of people at the bottom of society.

If they truly had power, if you crushed my family's ox, I wouldn't care if you were an Immortal or not; you would have to compensate me with money or even your life.

Thinking this, Yang Dian endured the soreness and reached out to pat the Young Attendant's head:

"I crushed your family's ox, yet you returned evil with kindness; not only did you not cause me trouble, but you even helped me bandage my wounds."

"Are you bringing me into the city to take me to a medical clinic?"

"Since we have fate, I will grant you an Opportunity."

"Money, a Cultivation Technique, or something else."

"Tell me what you want; if nothing goes wrong, there shouldn't be anything in this world I cannot provide for you."

Upon hearing this, the Young Attendant not only didn't show joy but instead revealed a look of fear...
