383: The Suppressed Cataclysm
“Snap!”
With a snap of his fingers, the Secret Garden was instantly shorn of three zhang from the ground.
Most of the flowers and vegetation in the garden were Spirit Medicine level, including the Creation Flower which could increase Spiritual Qi concentration.
It would be a pity for these treasures to be destroyed.
Who knew if the Witches had left any seeds?
As the entire magnificent garden instantly sank three zhang, turning the flat ground into high air, the Transformation Witch somewhat frantically spread her wings and flew into the sky.
While flapping her wings, she also reached out and grabbed the Knowledge Witch and Astrology Witch beside her, and hooked the Potion Witch with her foot.
The Curse Witch was left unattended, and after falling 10 meters from high altitude, she landed squarely on her frog.
The frog was flattened with a “thump,” and the Curse Witch simultaneously revealed a desperate expression, letting out a “croak” before landing on all fours, crawling on the ground and hopping around Yang Dian like a frog.
All four of the Witches who had performed Body Integration reached up to rub their foreheads, and Yang Dian, somewhat amused, used his Qi and blood to roll up the Curse Witch who had cursed him, then stomped his foot.
“Boom!”
A violent roar echoed repeatedly within the small garden, less than ten kilometers in diameter.
As a deep pit several tens of meters appeared beneath Yang Dian’s feet, cracks in the earth, like scars, expanded wantonly throughout the Witch’s Garden, and countless earth and rocks flew up into the sky, swirling.
In an instant, the once beautiful garden became a scene of apocalypse.
The Transformation Witch swallowed, raised the Knowledge Witch and Astrology Witch in her hands, and made a gesture of surrender.
The Knowledge Witch in her hands spoke in fluent Mandarin: “Uh, let’s talk things over nicely, there’s no need to shout about killing.”
“We are not those Witches despised by everyone in the Middle Ages, and you are not those demon hunters seeking bounties, or those fanatical zealots with addled brains in the Church.”
“I think we can talk.”
Yang Dian raised an eyebrow, just about to speak, when an even louder roar came from deep underground.
“Roar~”
As the roar came, red light appeared in all the earth cracks, and white smoke carrying the acrid smell of sulfur rose from them.
“Roar~”
With another Dragon roar, the earth shook, and endless earth and rocks suddenly exploded.
In the dust and smoke, a massive figure spread its wings and flew high into the sky, blotting out the sun.
“ξ ο ω χ υ λ β ι μ η τ σ.”
(I am calamity, I am destruction, I am despair, I am the great cataclysm!)
A series of roars, which Yang Dian had never heard before but could clearly understand their meaning, spewed from the Western Dragon’s mouth.
Watching it casually spew flames, Yang Dian raised an eyebrow.
‘I wonder if it can be tamed.’
‘If it can, I’ll take it back for Lele to play with as a mount.’
With a flash of his body, Yang Dian turned into an afterimage and appeared in front of the giant Dragon’s head.
The Dragon’s two vertical pupils, larger than Yang Dian’s body, instantly locked onto him.
“Human, surrender to the great Calamity Griffin, offer your treasures, and I shall grant you death!”
“Roar~”
Dodging Griffin’s foul-smelling attack after it opened its mouth, Yang Dian looked at the Dragon Witch, whose half-body was merged into the giant Dragon’s head, and couldn’t help but be amused:
“Is this your trump card?”
As his voice fell, amidst Griffin’s angry roar, he stood on its head, in front of the Dragon Witch.
Looking down at the Dragon Witch, whose lower body was merged into the Dragon’s body and whose head was level with his waist, Yang Dian raised his foot and stomped down hard.
“Unfortunately, it’s not strong enough.”
“Thump.”
“Bang~~”
The giant Dragon, which had just taken flight, turned into a meteor and crashed back to the ground faster than it had ascended, and drops of scorching magma splashed from underground, turning into a red rain that fell upon the earth amidst the Transformation Witch’s screams.
Glancing at the Transformation Witch, who had lost half of her feathers on her wings but was still desperately protecting the other three Witches, Yang Dian frowned slightly in confusion.
Except for the Dragon Witch, the other Witches’ displayed strength was somewhat disappointing.
It truly didn’t match their illustrious reputation in England, or even throughout the entire European continent.
‘Playing weak to the enemy?’
As the thought arose, an even angrier Dragon roar than before echoed from beneath the earth.
Centered on where the Dragon’s voice originated, the earth and rocks within a three-hundred-meter radius instantly turned into magma.
“Roar!”
The angry roar seemed to become a bugle call; as the Dragon roar sounded, endless magma surged from the ground, forming a scorching red tide that rushed towards Yang Dian.
“Enough.”
Yang Dian extended his hand, somewhat bored.
“Stop making trouble.”
As his voice fell, a golden Dragon Claw, large enough to blot out the sky, appeared beside Yang Dian, and pressed down on the magma red tide, or rather, on the Red Dragon Griffin within the red tide.
“Bang!”
The magma surging towards the sky was pressed back to the ground by Yang Dian’s slap, and five-colored flowing light swirled on the golden Dragon Claw; the materialized Qi and blood formed a five-colored great mountain, sealing the Five Elements energy while also firmly pressing the Red Dragon to the ground, leaving only its head protruding from the mountain.
He waved his hand, sweeping away the dust in the sky.
After landing, Yang Dian patted the Red Dragon, whose eyes had become clearer after struggling fruitlessly:
“Are you still a calamity?”
“Are you still transforming?”
“Are you still despairing?”
The Red Dragon, who had never been so lightly insulted, instantly straightened its vertical pupils and opened its mouth, intending to spew flames at Yang Dian.
Unfortunately, all the energy in its body was suppressed by the power of the Five Elements, so opening its mouth only resulted in a mouthful of stale bad breath, along with a few wisps of black smoke.
Reaching out to fan away the nauseating stench from his nose, Yang Dian flicked a finger, sending out a gust of wind that struck the tonsil hanging in the giant Dragon’s throat.
“Ow~~”
As Griffin let out a tragic shriek, Yang Dian’s peripheral vision saw its tonsil begin to swell rapidly.
‘It seems to have swollen more than 5 times in an instant?’
‘The potential of Dragon creatures is truly considerable.’
In his contemplation, Yang Dian put down Helena and the Curse Witch, whom he had been protecting with his magnetic field.
The Curse Witch started croaking as soon as she landed.
Who knew when the mind-affecting mental curse would dissipate?
After observing the somewhat amusing Curse Witch for a while, Yang Dian then looked at the four Witches who had just disengaged from Body Integration.
The Potion Witch pulled out large bottles and jars from her small pocket, and began to apply burn ointment to the Transformation Witch’s wings amidst her cries of pain.
The Astrology Witch put on her hood, took out a crystal scepter, and lowered her head without speaking.
The Knowledge Witch, however, stepped forward two paces to stand before Yang Dian, and after performing an English aristocratic courtesy to him, she spoke:
“Strong one from Huaxia, may I ask what brings you to our garden?”
“We have never committed evil. When conducting magical experiments, we used condemned prisoners obtained from the English authorities after discussion with them, and we have never traveled to Huaxia or committed any evil deeds there.”
“We are not enemies.”
“If you came for those Spirit Medicines, then your objective has already been achieved.”
“If you came for this Secret Garden, which can freely traverse spatial rifts, then we can also hand it over to you.”
“Please release the Dragon Witch.”
