611: Lao Bai: I can’t?

Lao Bai was pondering how to maximize the weapon's power, and Yang Dian also withdrew his hand that had been inserted into the magnetic field coil.

He looked down at his right hand, which was still glowing red from the scorching despite the rune protection, and Yang Dian subtly glanced at Lao Bai, who seemed to be lost in thought.

'Lao Bai is still fierce.'

'If this Planet Destroyer Cannon's energy level was a bit higher, it could break my defense.'

After a moment of thought, Yang Dian looked at the star destroyer, which had run out of energy and entered standby mode:

"What is the energy source of this star destroyer?"

"The Planet Destroyer Cannon's energy intensity is so high; it must consume a lot of energy, right?"

"This is all thanks to the gravitational trap black coal ball you snatched from the little Star God," Dr. Bai said, casually projecting a photo.

Yang Dian looked at it from left to right and felt that this thing was no different from a 90s honeycomb briquette.

At most, there were many black, tear-shaped, but much more viscous things in the briquette's holes.

"Is this dark matter?"

"Yes, this is dark matter." After a definitive nod, Dr. Bai continued:

"If it weren't for deciphering the gravitational trap black coal ball and creating this dark matter collection device, the birth of the star destroyer would have been delayed for quite some time."

At this point, Dr. Bai sighed with some emotion:

"It's still too difficult for one person to advance technology."

"The star destroyer should have launched two months ago."

Yang Dian heard this and felt a little emotional:

"That's right."

"Advancing technology is like this, and raising the upper limit of martial arts is the same."

"The gap between me and others is really too big; I can't even find someone to exchange martial arts experience with or to spar with."

When Yang Dian finished speaking, both of them sighed.

Then they looked at each other, showing expressions of mutual appreciation.

'Fortunately, he appeared; otherwise, carrying the civilization forward alone would be too lonely.'

After simultaneously coming up with this thought, Yang Dian looked at the 12 star destroyers hovering in the sky:

"Are these star destroyers considered fully tested?"

Dr. Bai shook his head slightly:

"Not yet."

"The star destroyer has just been assembled, and only its energy System, communication System, weapon System, and other Systems have been tested."

"But aspects like flight posture, anti-strike capability, and energy defense System have not yet been tested."

"In addition, we also need to test whether the destruction of the star destroyer will lead to problems with the energy System, triggering chain reactions like a dark matter explosion."

As he spoke, he looked towards Earth:

"Although I have confidence in the star destroyer I designed, science is rigorous."

"Especially for high-energy weapon equipment like this, even more caution should be exercised."

"So, for this Dimensional War, the star destroyer probably won't be able to go to the battlefield."

After thinking about the time required for testing, Dr. Bai added:

"At least, it won't be able to go to the battlefield in the first few days of the Dimensional War."

"I'm afraid it will explode on Earth."

Hearing the word 'explode,' Yang Dian suddenly remembered the energy light screens rising on the border:

"Do you think the Planet Destroyer Cannon can shatter those energy light screens on Earth?"

Dr. Bai gave Yang Dian a sidelong glance:

"Don't even think about it."

"What if those energy light screens are really shattered? What about Earth? The Planet Destroyer Cannon can only fire, not retract."

"Besides, even your Dimension Butterfly can't enter the light screen; I don't think my Planet Destroyer Cannon can break the light screen."

"At least, the current Planet Destroyer Cannon probably can't do it."

After speaking, pondering that Yang Dian had brought up the light screens on Earth, Dr. Bai simply continued to ask:

"What do you think is the situation with those light screens on Earth?"

Yang Dian pondered for a while before speaking:

"It might be a Formation set up by the Human Race in ancient times?"

"Even if it's not a Formation, it should be a method they left behind."

After some initial speculation, Yang Dian gave the reason for his guess:

"Those light screens appeared after I sank the East Japan Island, so let's temporarily set their prerequisite for appearance as [sudden changes in Earth's surface environment]."

"And the methods they left behind possess a certain 'spirituality,' capable of real-time discerning the current human environment, power situation... on Earth."

Hearing Yang Dian's guess, Dr. Bai nodded in agreement, then made a bold speculation:

"The Dimension Butterfly is a dimension-reduced creature."

"Although it has been dimension-reduced, it is still extremely close to being a multi-dimensional creature."

"You said before that it can anchor Universe coordinates by devouring star core fragments to revive."

"Revival means it can revert to being a multi-dimensional creature."

"Since it is a multi-dimensional creature, then parallel Universes are not a hypothesis but a real phenomenon."

"I think we shouldn't just focus our goals on the ancient times..."

Yang Dian's eyes widened, and his scalp tingled a bit:

"You mean we might be immigrants from another Universe?"

"Those light screens carry the power of dimensions to block the Dimension Butterfly from traversing?"

"That's why they were able to leave behind technology beyond our imagination, allowing Earth to quickly launch a Dimensional War against other Alien Planets?"

After his scalp tingled, Yang Dian, remembering something, waved his hand indifferently:

"Forget it, whether it's an Alien Universe or an Alien Planet, it's actually pretty much the same; they all belong to extraterrestrial civilizations."

"The essence is actually the same."

"We are still facing the threat of a Dimensional War; thinking so much is useless."

"The essence of civilization is still the law of the jungle."

"Whether we are immigrants from an Alien Universe, remnants of an ancient civilization, or evolved from monkeys."

"As long as we have enough strength, everything else will become trivial matters."

Dr. Bai nodded in agreement:

"You have a point."

"As long as our strength is sufficient, whether we are a branch of another civilization or not, we can become the main branch of civilization."

"If we are remnants of another civilization, that's even better; perhaps we still have civilizational heritage to inherit..."

After chatting about this and that, seeing that it was almost time, Yang Dian glanced towards Earth and said:

"Can we obtain Alien Planet information through space nodes?"

Dr. Bai showed a speechless expression:

"The things I've created can't even pass through stable space nodes; you still want me to observe an Alien Planet through chaotic space nodes?"

Giving Lao Bai a sidelong glance, Yang Dian, who had already figured out his temper, shook his head and sighed:

"Lao Bai, you're not good enough either ~"

"I thought more than two years had passed..."

"No, that's not right."

"Considering the impact of Earth's slowed rotation speed, compared to before the Lizardmen Alien Planet merged with Earth, three or four years should have already passed."

"It's been three or four years, and you still haven't created the equipment for traversing space nodes."

"Tsk ~"

After a 'tsk,' Yang Dian didn't give Lao Bai a chance to explain, directly waved his hand and disappeared from his sight, leaving only his voice echoing in Dr. Bai's ears through air vibrations:

"I'm leaving; I'll go back first and see what this Dimensional War is all about."

"Oh, and remember to help me research how to develop my talent when you have time."

Looking at the direction where Yang Dian waved and disappeared, Dr. Bai was silent for a while, then the projected image began to blur as if affected by electromagnetic interference:

"I'm not good enough?"

"I..."
