739: Family affairs

For Yang Dian, his current strength is composed of three parts: the Physical Body side, the Soul side, and the Rule side.

As the name suggests, the Physical Body side refers to the body's explosive power, including the body and vital energy, which is the foundation of foundations.

The Soul side is the spiritual level; it can be used to launch Soul-level attacks, and it can also act as a lubricant, more effectively mobilizing the power of the Physical Body side and the Rule side.

The remaining Rule side is the application of the world's power, a kind of blessing.

When it exists alone, it is only used to expound the Dao and principles of the world, but when used in conjunction with the power of the Physical Body side and the Soul side...

Then it can unleash world-destroying power.

Back on Earth.

Yang Dian first glanced at the panel, at the more than 400 million energy remaining.

Then he began to assess his own strength.

"Just talking about the Physical Body side's power."

"Even if I fully mobilize my physical strength and unleash ten or a hundred times my punching power, I still can't destroy the Earth with one punch."

"It's even difficult to destroy the moon with one punch."

After thinking for a moment, Yang Dian felt he needed concrete data to measure his strength.

"I'll go try punching a planet."

Upon this thought, Yang Dian first petted the Little Black Cat twice:

"I'm going to outer space; I might encounter danger. You should hide in the cat's nest first."

The Little Black Cat, nestled in Yang Dian's arms, raised its head:

"Meow, I just came out, and now I have to go back to the nest again ~"

Hearing the unhappiness in the Little Black Cat's voice, Yang Dian petted its chin twice more:

"If you want to stay by my side and fight alongside me, then you have to Cultivate diligently."

"Meow, I don't have that idea." The Little Black Cat turned halfway in Yang Dian's arms, exposing its belly, and spoke truthfully:

"Meow, your strength is increasing too fast; I definitely can't keep up. I'd rather just eat and wait for death."

As its voice fell, the Little Black Cat flicked the small bell on its neck.

It flashed into light, and after a barely perceptible spatial fluctuation, the Little Black Cat had disappeared from Yang Dian's arms, returning to the pet space Yang Dian had designated for it, which was its cat's nest.

"Meow, when you're done, you don't necessarily have to let me out."

His gaze followed the sound to his wristband.

Through space, looking at the Little Black Cat, who was lying in its cat's nest, wagging its tail, licking catnip happily, and taking a bite of fish cake placed by its mouth when hungry, Yang Dian couldn't help but smile wryly.

"This is truly 'enjoying oneself so much as to forget home.'"

After complaining about the Little Black Cat, Yang Dian thought for a moment and decided to go home first.

Coincidentally, Yangs Father and Yangs Mother had just returned home from Cultivating.

Yangs Father sat on a lounge chair under the grapevine, holding a newspaper, chatting idly with Yangs Mother.

Yangs Mother stood by the chicken coop, counting the chicks inside, which looked like an adventure party.

Stepping forward to his mother's side, Yang Dian peered into the chicken coop at the chicks, asking curiously:

"Mom, we only have one rooster, right? Are these chicks Old Black's offspring?"

As he spoke, he glanced at the still small hen.

"Old Black is already as tall as a person; can this hen handle it?"

Hearing Yang Dian's voice, Yangs Mother was stunned for a moment. After turning her head and confirming her son was by her side, her eyes reddened:

"You ungrateful little rascal, you still know how to come home?"

"The big one is ungrateful, the small one is ungrateful too. You're out for so long, you don't even know to call home."

"Also, where's Little Blackie?"

"If you want to go out, I won't stop you, but leave the cat behind."

"Otherwise, your father and I won't have anyone to talk to."

Seeing his mother's reddened eyes, Yang Dian felt a pang of guilt.

He hadn't spent time with his parents in a long time.

But what could he do?

Staying home with his parents would slow down his strength improvement.

If his strength improved slowly, how could he protect his parents when Earth faced danger?

So, unless he was invincible, he would always have to go out and explore.

Thus, he reached out, pulling the Little Black Cat, who was happily licking a large catnip in its 'cat's nest,' out:

"Here, the Little Black Cat is here."

"It kept pestering me to go with me; I only took it with me last time I came home."

Little Blackie, with a confused look: Meow?

Yangs Mother heard this and glared at Little Blackie, who was hunched over, holding the cat ball:

"You're ungrateful too."

Seeing Yang Dian about to laugh, she picked up the Little Black Cat and then glared at him:

"You're even more ungrateful."

"You're home, and you don't even tell us? Can't you eat a meal at home?"

"Are you really that busy?"

Yang Dian casually petted Little Yellow, who had grown to half his height, circled him a few times, and was now wagging its tail furiously beside him:

"It's just that plans can't keep up with changes."

"I had some free time these past two days, so I came back immediately."

As he spoke, he began to change the subject again:

"By the way, Mom, you haven't told me yet."

"Are these chicks Old Black's offspring?"

Chicken Bro, who was as tall as a person, opened one eye and looked at Yang Dian.

Yang Dian always felt that if Chicken Bro couldn't beat him, he would definitely peck him.

Yangs Mother also gave Yang Dian an annoyed look:

"These chicks were bought at the market two days ago."

As she spoke, she petted the Little Black Cat, who was showing its belly and looking ingratiatingly at her, twice:

"Now, the Spiritual Qi concentration on Earth is high, and the probability of animals gaining sentience is very high."

"Once they gain sentience, animals' intelligence is no different from humans'."

"Raised from a young age, how is it any different from a child? Can you bear to eat them?"

As she spoke, she patted Little Yellow Dog's head, who had come over to her side, and continued:

"Anyway, we can't bear to."

"So your father and I specifically went to the market to buy these Tiannan Star chicks."

"Their appearance and meat quality are similar to chickens, but they basically won't mutate or develop sentience. We plan to raise them big to supplement your and your sister's meals."

"Cluck cluck cluck ~" Yang Dian took the feed bucket from Yangs Mother, teased the chicks a couple of times, then put the bucket aside:

"Do these chickens grow fast?"

Glancing at the panel, he calculated for a moment and then said:

"I'll probably stay home for half a month this time."

"I want to eat home-raised chicken."

As soon as he finished speaking, Chicken Bro, including several hens pretending to be asleep in the coop, instantly opened their eyes.

Chicken Bro looked at Yang Dian once, then closed his eyes.

The hens stood up and lined up, walking to a place where Yang Dian couldn't see them.

As if afraid of being chosen by Yang Dian and ending up as a bowl of soup.

"Tsk." Yang Dian clicked his tongue in wonder at the sight:

"So smart ~"

Yangs Mother, hearing that Yang Dian would stay home for half a month, smiled:

"They've all gained sentience; in feudal times, they'd be monsters. How could they not be smart?"

As she spoke, she lifted her foot and walked out of the yard:

"You want to eat home-raised chicken, right? I'll go catch some at your third aunt's place."

"Her family started raising chickens imported from Tiannan Star before me; they're all grown up now, and the chicken soup nourished by Spiritual Qi is especially fragrant."

Thinking of the chicken soup his mother made, Yang Dian subconsciously curved his lips into a smile:

"Alright, Mom, then I'll wait to drink the chicken soup."

After Yangs Mother left the yard, Yangs Father, who had been holding up the newspaper, finally put it down and reminded him:

"Remember to call your sister home for dinner."

"Your sister hasn't been back in a long time either; your mom talks about her every day."

Yang Dian nodded seriously:

"Got it, Dad..."
